Flirted Wrong, Married Right-Chapter 729: A Complete Makeover
James Grant slightly frowned and sat up straight.
"What do you mean?" ππ«ππ²π¨πππππ―ππΉ.ππ¨πΊ
Keith Donovan chuckled and said, "I came to Aethelburg to keep you company! Itβs cold here, and youβre not having much luck, so of course, I have to help you."
James understood the deeper meaning in Keithβs words, his tone becoming a bit cooler, "You found out?"
"Tristan and I both know." Keith made no attempt to hide it, "We used some little tricks, donβt ask how exactly! You just need to know that Iβm here to back you up!"
James sneered lightly and said, "What kind of backup can you give me? Youβd better go back."
Though he said that, James couldnβt help but spring into action.
Half an hour later, James arrived at the airport.
Soon, James picked up Keith.
"Whoa, is it really this cold here?"
Keith sneezed several times as soon as he got in the car, "Itβs way too cold, I thought a few hoodies would be enough!"
"This is the north, not Riversend." James glanced at him, seeing Keith wearing a thin trench coat, almost useless against the cold.
Keith rubbed his hands, taking a while to warm up, "Then you have to prepare clothes for me, take good care of me, or who will be your backup?"
Speaking of backup, James frowned, "What exactly are you here for?"
"To help you," Keith said seriously, "Itβs not easy to pursue your wife, huh?"
Upon hearing this, James realized Keith and Tristan probably knew most of whatβs going on in Aethelburg.
He slightly narrowed his eyes, his tone dangerous, "How exactly did you find out? Who told you?"
Seeing James was getting serious, Keith quickly confessed the truth.
"...Donβt blame Quentin either," Keith turned serious, "He saw how bad youβre doing and asked me to come over to persuade you. You know me, Iβm a big mouth, canβt keep things to myself..."
James didnβt bother to respond to him.
Keith hurriedly promised, "Donβt worry, Tristan and I wonβt tell a third person, absolute secrecy!"
James shot him a cold look, "Arenβt you a big mouth?"
"I wonβt spill to outsiders. Otherwise, how have we been brothers all these years?" Keith laughed, "Now, whatβs the exact situation, tell your buddy? Have you really found Evelyn Clayton?"
Over the phone, Quentin only told Keith that James found Evelyn Clayton here, but she still hadnβt agreed to anything, so James was stuck here.
Regarding the child and the Sinclair Familyβs situation, Quentin dared not say a word.
As long as Keith was here, whether to tell him was up to James.
James had already mentally calculated how much to deduct from Quentinβs salary, replying indifferently, "Why ask if you already know?"
"Itβs just surprising! Honestly, I always thought Miss Clayton was surely dead." Keith clicked his tongue in amazement, "I never expected itβd still be her, not only alive but completely changed."
After saying this, Keith realized he might have been a bit impolite.
He coughed lightly, looking at Jamesβs slightly gloomy face, "So, what stage is your relationship with her at now?"
What stage?
A self-deprecating smile flashed in Jamesβs eyes.
To speak of any stage, there has to be a relationship first.
Between them, thereβs nothing left, and he shouldnβt entertain any fantasies.
