Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!-Chapter 825: What Luck
"Master!!" Nookie exclaimed in utter excitement, relief evidently washing over his impish face.
This made the veteran warrior leader frown.
"State your name!" Ironguard demanded with a stern voice.
The way the young man walked slowly and confidently as though the seven of them weren't a threat made him feel uneasy.
The titled warrior from Yon Augenn was a veteran, and he had seen his fair share of pretentious bastards.
The man in front of them wasn't pretending to be confident.
"Huh? Which fool would give their name just because the enemies asked for it?" Shye replied, a trace of annoyance in his voice.
The white mask on his face hid and gave away a part of his identity.
"Hadean Varsa!" exclaimed the party's archer—a champion from Yon Augenn.
The guy had the sharpest eye out of everyone in the party, allowing him to clearly see Shye's mask despite him still being a fair distance away.
None of the investigation party members doubted the champion's words.
They immediately aimed their weapons at the lone ambusher, unwilling to underestimate a member of the notorious organization—especially one bold enough to act alone.
Soon, the frowns on their faces deepened, realizing that in front of them was a commander, based on the design of the white mask.
'Hakkin was slain by Alexander Aphelion a while ago…is it Cobra? Chaos?' thought Ironguard, wary of the man in front of them.
As official agents of the WAA, the investigation party members were all knowledgeable about the leadership of the most notable terrorist organizations and syndicates.
Ironguard, for one, is a veteran who already had an inkling as to who their enemy was.
After all, with Hakkin's recent demise, only three or four individuals would dare to confront the intruders alone: Chaos, Cobra, Alpha Three, and Black Dawn.
Champions and titled adventurers were strong.
However, they were definitely not as strong as ex-heroes.
Ironguard hoped that the commander would either be Chaos or Cobra, believing his party would have a better chance of taking those two commanders down.
As for Alpha Three, once known as Ian Izanagi of the Nightfall Requiem, and Commander Black Dawn, formerly the legendary Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn, Ironguard did not fancy their chances.
"Thunder Lily, cast your [Thunder Immobilization Field]! Strauss, bind him! Everyone else, go all out! The commander in front of us is either Cobra, Chaos, Alpha Three, or Black Dawn! If we hold back, we're dead!" the veteran warrior from Yon Augenn barked urgently, his heart racing slightly.
They were staring death in the face.
Yet, a few of his party members seemed oblivious to the gravity of the situation.
It was understandable, though, given that some of them were still young, only in their late 20s.
Finally realizing how dangerous the situation was, the investigation party members sprang into action, four of them immediately firing restriction skills and spells.
They could not allow the person in front of them to fight freely. Otherwise, they would undoubtedly be struck down one by one.

Thunder, shadows, and roots snaked towards Shye, undodgeable for most.
However, to him, the projectiles were as slow as the crawl of a caterpillar.
Gripping his elemental staff, Sigrun, in his left hand, Shye unleashed a massive, roaring fireball to obliterate the incoming spells, disintegrating the restraints while deflecting the archer's arrows with a single swing of his greatsword.
He then noticed the approaching warrior in front of him.
Shye merely smirked at their attempt to mislead his attention, grabbing at the empty space behind him.
"AHKK!!" Strauss gasped in horror as a powerful force suddenly seized his throat, and the realization of their opponent's identity struck him moments later.
There was only one Hadean Varsa Commander who was both a warrior and a mage: Commander Black Dawn.
"Unhand him, traitor!" ferociously exclaimed Ironguard, bashing his enormous shield with spikes toward Shye's head with a backhand blow.
His exterior was fierce, but the veteran titled warrior was already cursing their luck inwardly.
Great.
Of all the commanders capable of operating alone, the one standing before them just had to be the most formidable opponent his party could face.
Unfortunately, the shield rush he executed with all his strength was stopped effortlessly by a single stomp kick from Shye, sending Ironguard flying through the air and tumbling across the ground.
At least twenty bones shattered from just that one kick.
The veteran warrior grunted in pain as he struggled to rise, but despite his efforts, the backline was taken out one by one.
The mages and priests did their best to blink around, trying to evade, while the archers desperately fired blunted arrows in an attempt to push their enemy back, hoping to seize the first opportunity to escape.
Unfortunately, they were all but mere mice trapped in a cage.
Before the spellcasters could fully materialize at their targeted location using their spatial repositioning skills, the Hadean Varsa Commander was already in relentless pursuit, arriving in front of them almost simultaneously with their reappearance.
Those with quicker reaction times managed to cast another repositioning spell, narrowly avoiding Shye's attack, while those slower to react were knocked unconscious by a swift chop to the back of their necks.
Meanwhile, the struggling scout had long since fallen unconscious in Shye's grasp.
Realizing this, he let the body drop to the ground before continuing to incapacitate the remaining members of the investigation party.
It would be easy for him to take their lives.
However, he didn't, as their deaths would raise further suspicion which would force the WAA to send a stronger party.
Although Shye still didn't know what to do with them, it would be better for him to capture the investigation party members for now.
Maybe the old man can help.
Ironguard did his best to run and charge around like a mindless bull, roaring as he ignored the protests of the broken bones in his body.
Unfortunately, mere effort had never been enough; one also needed competence to achieve desired results.
In the end, his battered body reached its limit, and he collapsed, his hulking frame crashing to the ground with a heavy thud and a metallic clang.
Realizing that all members of the investigation party had been taken care of, Shye took a deep breath.
"Well, at least they're at my mercy for now..."
