Flash Marriage: She becomes Mrs. CEO after the Failed Dowry Talk-Chapter 933: There Will Be No Ifs Like You Said
"What are you thinking about?" Jasper Sinclair leaned in and asked.
Nora Northwood was pulled back to reality, awkwardly glancing at Jasper before speaking, "If you hadn’t made it to the hospital in time, what would have happened?"
"There’s no ’what if’."
Jasper’s answer was very certain.
On his way to the hospital, he’d already contacted the hospital director, and even if he was a step late, the surgery wouldn’t have proceeded as usual.
The Sinclair Group holds the medical lifeline of Stanton City in its hands. Nearly every hospital depends on The Sinclair Group’s AI medical services.
So, Jasper has absolute authority in any hospital.
Nora wanted to ask about Jasper’s plans next.
However, the hospital wasn’t the right place to talk, so she thought about it and decided to hold back, intending to discuss it at home.
How could Jasper not see through her little scheme?
Immediately, he came clean and said, "Professor Bishop’s research has made the latest progress. I told you to trust me; it’s not just talk, I’m confident, understand?"
Nora’s face turned red in an instant.
She said, "It’s not that I don’t trust you." Her voice was quieter than a mosquito’s buzz.
"If you really trusted me, you wouldn’t have secretly contacted Aunt Hutchinson and then appeared at the hospital."
Nora shrank her neck and hid herself in the blanket.
Jasper saw her in this condition and teased, "When you made the decision, why weren’t you afraid?"
Nora buried herself in the blanket, silent and unwilling to come out.
Worried she might suffocate, Jasper pulled the thin blanket down.
"Aren’t you afraid of suffocating yourself?"
Nora shook her head, "Not afraid."
A sigh echoed in the empty hospital room.
"Why are you always sighing!"
Jasper didn’t answer her; he just lowered his head and bit her lip.
Nora winced at the pain, even her toes curled in response.
She wanted to push the person in front of her away, but mindful of the IV drip, she could only let Jasper have his way.
Taking advantage of the gap to breathe, she said weakly, "My mouth is so bitter."
After two IV drips, her mouth was filled with bitterness, and she even disliked the taste herself.
Upon hearing this, Jasper didn’t pull away; instead, he kissed even deeper.
Every part of her lips and teeth didn’t escape the careful ravaging.
It was not hard to notice that Jasper’s kiss contained a hint of vented emotion.
In the throes of passion, Nora unconsciously lifted her chin even higher, longing to receive more from the man.
"Nora, you will be safe and sound."
This passionate French kiss was interrupted by a young nurse who came to remove the needle.
At the moment the knock on the door sounded, Nora resembled a high schooler who’d done something wrong and pushed the person on her away instantly.
Her vigorous movement caused the blood to backflow into the needle syringe, tinting the clear saline with a layer of red.
The nurse, not inexperienced, immediately understood what had happened in the ward.
No one pointed out the recent intimacy, and the nurse used emergency treatment methods. Fortunately, the backflow was not significant, preventing a major mistake.
After handling it, the nurse informed the patient, "You can be discharged now. Make sure to eat something soon to avoid low blood sugar. If you feel dizzy, you can get candy from the service desk on the first floor."
"Okay, thank you." Nora politely expressed her gratitude.
After leaving the hospital, she sighed, "I’m so fed up with the smell of disinfectant!"
