Chapter 543: Chapter 542: This is What President Pei Ordered

"Have you all had enough? Any more chirping and you can all fucking get out!" Fiona Sutton finally lost her temper. She smacked the table and roared.

The thunderous sound quelled the entire Private Room, silencing everyone. All the men turned to look in her direction.

The men started to jeer, displeased that Fiona Sutton was losing her temper. "Fiona, what are you yelling about?" one of them called out.

This girl was good in every way, except for her bad temper. Another flaw was her utter lack of manners; even men were more refined than her.

"Whether I shout or not is none of your damn business! Shut your pie holes! If you want to eat, sit down. If you don’t, then fuck off!" Fiona Sutton retorted, refusing to be intimidated. These people were truly shameless.

"What did you say?" A man started to object, walking towards her.

"What? You want to fight? Bring it on! Who’s afraid of who? Whoever doesn’t make a move is a goddamn coward!" Fiona Sutton was thoroughly incensed. She couldn’t believe someone would still challenge her here. She wasn’t afraid in the slightest; she was all guts. She hadn’t wanted to bother with Nia Mitchell today. While Nia’s verbal skills had improved, she wasn’t vicious enough. With people like this, you had to be vicious. See? Didn’t that guy just shut up?

"Stop your yapping," Fiona Sutton declared, "or I’ll rip his mouth apart."

After saying that, Fiona Sutton deliberately glanced at Julia Adams, who was sitting to one side.

Julia Adams was taken aback. She had thought Fiona wouldn’t bother with Nia Mitchell today, but she had actually stepped in to help. This is too much! She goes back on her word! They argue, yet their relationship is still so good.

"Fiona Sutton, are you stupid? Nia Mitchell is always using you as a pawn. Be careful, or one day you’ll be duped and not even realize it."

Julia Adams wasn’t one to easily back down in a verbal spar; it was often that mouth of hers that got her into trouble.

When Fiona Sutton heard the word ’duped,’ her mood faltered. Nia Mitchell was indeed deceiving her, and perhaps not just about this one thing.

"None of your damn business!" Fiona Sutton rolled her eyes at Julia Adams. Just then, the Manager walked in with a group of people.

As soon as he entered, the Manager sensed the tense atmosphere in the Private Room and his gaze immediately fell on Nia Mitchell.

"Madam Peary, Mr. Peary mentioned earlier that you particularly enjoy sweet and sour dishes, so our Head Chef has personally prepared a few for you to sample."

The Manager gestured, and staff brought the dishes directly to Nia Mitchell.

The implication was clear: these dishes weren’t for their gathering, and others wouldn’t have the fortune to taste them. They were prepared exclusively for Nia Mitchell.

"Thank you." Nia Mitchell stood up, feeling a little embarrassed that the Manager was making such a fuss.

However, the thought that Maxwell Peary himself had personally arranged this made her heart feel as sweet as honey.

"You’re too kind, Madam Peary. We’re just glad you like them."

This was the boss’s wife! The boss’s wife was thanking him! Heavens, he didn’t want to hear ’thank you’! Even a word of affirmation, like ’These are excellent,’ would have been better. Please, not such polite courtesies; it was too much to bear!

After the dishes were presented to Nia Mitchell, the Manager turned his gaze to the men’s table.

"May I ask which of you is Professor Charles Northwood?" the Manager began. He observed everyone’s reactions, then his gaze settled on Charles Northwood.

"Professor Northwood, hello. Mr. Peary also instructed us to prepare a few dishes for you, as a token of gratitude for your care towards Madam Peary."

As he spoke, a Waiter brought over the dishes. Each one was a vibrant, fiery red—clearly very spicy.
