Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 527 - 526: So Happy that It’s Stupid
In this world, meeting Maxwell Peary was her greatest fortune.
"Alright, I’ll forget about it."
She giggled and stuck out her tongue, leaning over to peck him on the cheek.
"Uncle, you’re feeling jealous, aren’t you?"
His actions were obviously those of someone who was jealous. Unexpectedly, even the CEO’s jealousy was so unique.
Seeing her eyes curve with laughter, Maxwell Peary didn’t argue with her further.
"Yes, I’m jealous."
Nia Mitchell was utterly stunned. Heavens! Was this really her husband? Had he actually admitted it so openly?
"Really?"
Nia Mitchell was a little uncertain, her eyes still wide with surprise.
"Yes, terribly so."
Nia Mitchell was speechless. This man was definitely not her usually stern husband. He must have been swapped!
The two people in the private booth were as sweet as honey, while outside, his younger sister, Evelyn Peary, was as anxious as an ant on a hot griddle. She had only heard Maxwell Peary’s loud exclamation earlier and couldn’t hear anything that followed.
"Mom, you have to save me!"
My older brother must hate me even more now. He won’t give me any spending money for a long, long time.
"How can I save you? You completely deserved it."
Silvia Waterborne was exasperated with her daughter’s foolishness. She was still on the Film Set, too far away to be of any immediate help.
"How did I deserve this?"
At these words, Evelyn Peary was extremely unhappy. She had just wanted to give a little surprise; she still couldn’t understand where she had gone wrong.
While Evelyn Peary was still trying to figure out what she did wrong, Maxwell Peary, in their private booth, had already tossed all the roses into the trash bin. After waiting for quite a while with no sign of the cleaning staff, Maxwell started to grow impatient.
"Let’s go. We’ll eat in another private booth."
If he had known this was the kind of surprise it would be, he wouldn’t have bothered driving Nia Mitchell all the way here.
Evelyn Peary didn’t show up again for the rest of the dinner.
"Uncle, should we tell Evelyn?"
When they were preparing to go home, Nia Mitchell looked up and asked Maxwell Peary.
"No need, she definitely knows."
Without giving Nia Mitchell another chance to speak, Maxwell Peary directly pulled her away.
Once they were in the car heading home, Nia Mitchell thought for a moment and sent Evelyn Peary a text message: "We’re already home."
Evelyn Peary, sitting in her Office Room, was still dejected when she saw the message. She quickly replied, "I’m sorry. It was my fault for making my brother angry."
After sending the text, Evelyn Peary sighed. I won’t dare to approach Nia Mitchell again anytime soon.
Nia Mitchell read Evelyn’s reply and texted back, "He’s not angry, he’s just jealous. He said you’re not the one who should be giving roses."
Such a romantic scene should have been something he created for her.
Thinking of this, a smile returned to Nia Mitchell’s face.
"What are you laughing at? You’ve been giggling all night."
Is she still happy about those roses today? No, no, she has to forget them.
"I’m not laughing at anything. I just remembered what you said to me earlier."
Nia Mitchell’s eyes brimmed with emotion as she reached out and hugged him.
"I’m so happy."
That he would actually say something like that was something she could hardly have imagined.
"Really?"
Seeing her so happy, Maxwell Peary pushed aside any lingering annoyance he felt.
"Since Mrs. Peary is so happy, shouldn’t you show some appreciation?"
Maxwell Peary pressed his advantage, starting to make demands.
When Nia Mitchell heard this, she gave him a side-eye.
"How can you even ask?"
He actually had the nerve to make demands.
