Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 514 - 513: Discovered by Sophia Moore!
"If you have something to do, you can go first. I’ll be fine."
Shirley Grant also knew Ethan Martinez was busy. Seeing him being pressed by a phone call, she didn’t want to delay his work.
"It’s okay."
Ethan Martinez smiled and walked to her side.
"I also want to make sure Gerry Peary is fine."
That was his hope. Even though he hadn’t spent much time with Gerry Peary, he was nonetheless captivated by such an innocent boy.
"Alright then, I hope it doesn’t inconvenience you."
Knowing Gerry Peary was safe, Shirley Grant calmed down a little, no longer as flustered as she had been initially.
"Hmm."
Ethan Martinez glanced at Shirley Grant and said nothing more.
Just as the tension eased on their end, things were quite different for Nia Mitchell.
After finishing her meal, Nia Mitchell felt rather stuffed.
"Uncle, let’s take a break for a while."
She checked her phone; it was still early. Besides, there’s no need to rush to the Company; there won’t be anything to do this early.
However, she didn’t know if Maxwell Peary was busy.
"Are you full?"
A smile touched Maxwell Peary’s eyes as he watched her lounging lazily, his lips curving slightly.
"Yes."
Looking at the numerous empty small plates before her, Nia Mitchell’s face flushed.
"Uncle, why do you eat so little?"
Nia Mitchell felt stuffed not just because she’d eaten everything on her plate, but mainly because she’d had double portions of many items.
"Not at all."
Maxwell Peary raised an eyebrow. He certainly didn’t consider his appetite small.
But even though Nia Mitchell appeared to eat a great deal, she mostly had small, easily digestible items.
"If you don’t get out and move around, you’re going to get as fat as a little pig."
Seeing her chubby little face, the laughter in his eyes deepened.
"Huh?"
Nia Mitchell’s large, sparkling eyes widened, her expression one of dismay.
"No way."
She was a foodie, but more than that, she aspired to be a foodie who never gained weight. That ability was a foodie’s most crucial asset.
"Yes, yes, yes, you won’t," Maxwell Peary said, resisting the urge to pinch her pouting, chubby little face.
Maxwell Peary looked at her still lounging there and shook his head. "Let’s go. Since you’re so full, we’ll go for a walk."
"I don’t want to move."
Eating so much and then having to exercise is just too painful.
"Hurry up." Maxwell Peary’s expression darkened, leaving her no room to refuse.
As expected, this tactic of Maxwell Peary’s was most effective with Nia Mitchell.
"Alright," she conceded.
Nia Mitchell reluctantly agreed, retrieved her handbag, and went out with Maxwell Peary.
Meanwhile, Sophia Moore was still standing outside.
A light drizzle fell as she stood there under an umbrella, determined to wait for Maxwell Peary to emerge.
She wanted to see who Maxwell Peary was dining with; it all seemed so romantic.
That woman might be the future Mrs. Peary. If she could defeat her, she would make her move. If her rival was too formidable, she would try to get close to her instead.
Becoming Mrs. Peary’s confidante—now that would be quite the status boost, wouldn’t it?
Little did she expect that the person she had been waiting for in the cold wind for over an hour would turn out to be...
Er...
Is that Nia Mitchell?!
Sophia Moore’s pupils dilated, her face a mask of utter disbelief. No, no, it can’t be!
Her mind instantly turned to mush. She managed a difficult twitch of her lips, utterly speechless. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Maybe... Maybe her eyes were deceiving her. It couldn’t possibly be Nia Mitchell.
Sophia Moore took a deep breath and blinked hard several times.
