Chapter 509: Chapter 508: I am Friends with Young Master Peary

Young Master Peary?

The Young Master Peary who booked the entire Dining Hall here... could it really be the one I know?

"MC Group’s Young Master Peary?"

Sophia Moore looked at the Manager, her gaze a mixture of belief and doubt.

It wasn’t that she doubted Maxwell Peary. Rather, she figured no one in the entire Capital Town would believe Young Master Peary would actually... actually do something like booking out an entire Dining Hall. Impossible! That’s Young Master Peary. That’s Maxwell Peary!

"Yes, who else could it be?" the Manager replied. After all, who else in this Capital Town could be respectfully addressed as Young Master Peary?

The Manager then rolled his eyes at Sophia Moore, his disdain for the impressively dressed woman before him growing.

"Why would he be here? I know him, so I should be able to go in."

Sophia Moore, seemingly having forgotten the unpleasantness from that morning, prepared to walk in as she spoke.

But were all those Security Guards at the entrance just for decoration?

They gathered there, blocking her and making it impossible for her to advance even a single step.

"I said I know Young Master Peary! Aren’t you afraid he’ll blame you if you don’t let me in?" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

The group of Security Guards didn’t even glance at Sophia Moore. In their eyes, this woman was just a lunatic. Therefore, there was no need to pay any mind to what a lunatic was saying.

The Manager sneered. He hadn’t expected someone to be so shameless as to try and elevate her own status like this. Know Young Master Peary? Hah! Plenty of people in Capital Town knew Young Master Peary, but Young Master Peary himself only knew a handful of people.

Instantly, the Manager categorized Sophia Moore as one of those vain, social-climbing women. So self-important. In the eyes of someone like him, she probably wasn’t even considered as significant as a common pheasant.

"If you don’t believe I know Young Master Peary, then go in and ask."

Sophia Moore, however, seemed inexplicably confident. Could she really have amnesia? Had she forgotten what happened at MC Group this morning?

"I’m sorry, we can’t disturb Young Master Peary’s meal."

The Manager addressed her with a forced, mechanical smile, while internally, he was rolling his eyes to the heavens.

Seeing him like this, Sophia Moore trembled with anger.

Only then did she notice that many passersby were pointing at her, and some had even stopped to gawk.

Instantly, Sophia Moore’s face flushed crimson, and she clenched her fists in humiliation and anger.

"I’ve never seen people like you! Bullies, abusing your borrowed power!"

Sophia Moore cursed, shielding her face with her hand as she stood there, gritting her teeth.

"I’m not leaving today! When Young Master Peary comes out and sees me standing here, you’ll all be in for it!"

Sophia Moore stood indignantly at the Grand Gate Entrance, planting herself there and ignoring everyone’s stares. However, whenever someone tried to get a clear look at her face, she would still use her handbag to shield it.

Seeing this display, the Security Guards at the entrance of the Western Restaurant became uncertain. But since the Manager hadn’t said anything further, they were a little apprehensive... What if this woman really did know Young Master Peary? He wouldn’t care why they had stopped her, nor whose orders they were following. When that time came, wouldn’t they be...

"Manager, are you sure this will be alright?" one of the Security Guards asked in a low voice, looking uncertainly at the Manager.

The Manager had clearly seen his share of the world; otherwise, he wouldn’t have climbed to such a position at his young age.

"Between you and your friends, wouldn’t you have each other’s phone numbers?"

The Manager looked at the guard, pondered for a moment, and then decided to explain. He wanted to prevent the other Security Guards from becoming flustered and failing to hold their ground effectively.

"Of course not!" the guard responded quickly, but then he suddenly froze...
