Chapter 476: Chapter 475: Holy moly, a rare guest!

Nia Mitchell didn’t know Tara Jameson, so seeing the unfamiliar woman standing there, she simply regarded her as a passerby.

As she continued walking forward, Nia Mitchell had walked several meters before realizing that Charles Northwood wasn’t by her side.

So she turned around and saw Charles Northwood standing on the right side of the road, looking at the woman who had stopped on the left side of the road.

Nia Mitchell curiously walked back, glanced at Tara Jameson, then shifted her gaze to Charles Northwood. "What’s wrong?"

Something felt off, but she couldn’t quite place it.

"Do you know each other?" Nia Mitchell asked.

"No," Charles Northwood replied, then continued walking forward.

Tara Jameson, still standing in her original spot, heard his words and staggered, her face pale. Her gaze followed the two retreating figures. Tara Jameson lowered her head in self-mockery, her eyes blurring with tears. There was nothing more heartbreaking than her boyfriend walking with another woman, right in front of her, and telling that woman he didn’t know her.

Nia Mitchell raised an eyebrow. She had a strong feeling that Charles Northwood had indeed recognized that female student. Then again, Charles Northwood was now a professor at University A, so it was perfectly normal for him to know many students.

"Actually, you didn’t need to walk me here. I’ve walked this path countless times; how could I possibly get lost?" Nia Mitchell turned to Charles Northwood and muttered.

"I’m really afraid you would get lost," Charles Northwood smiled and proceeded forward, holding the umbrella.

With his company, they chatted and soon arrived below the women’s dormitory building.

"I dare you, Professor Northwood, to escort me to my room," Nia Mitchell joked with a smile, looking at his gentle and refined appearance, wondering what he would look like if he ever switched to his CEO expression.

"Well, I wish I could." But he would most likely be kicked out and then become infamous at University A.

After they chatted for a bit downstairs, Nia Mitchell went upstairs into the dormitory. Soon, she reached her dormitory room door. She knocked, and Mellisa Moreland opened it.

"Holy shit, a rare guest! Why are you here in our pigsty instead of making a fortune at MC Group?" Mellisa Moreland exclaimed in shock, stepping aside to let her in.

"Where’s Fiona Sutton?" Nia Mitchell asked, looking around the room curiously. Fiona Sutton’s bed was empty.

"Her? She didn’t return last night," Mellisa Moreland said. "It’s not unusual for her to stay out. Besides, we’re fourth-years now, and there are no more room checks." Mellisa Moreland shrugged, sat down on her stool, and felt a bit displeased watching Nia Mitchell immediately look for Fiona Sutton upon entering. "All you care about is your precious Fiona Sutton; you didn’t even ask if I’m okay."

Hearing Mellisa Moreland’s unexpectedly melodramatic words, Nia Mitchell felt goosebumps rise all over her. "I can see perfectly well that you’re fine, yet you’re still saying such things," she teased with a smile, then took out her phone to call Fiona Sutton.

The call went straight to voicemail; her phone was off.

Why hadn’t Fiona Sutton come back?

After exchanging a few more words with Mellisa Moreland, Nia Mitchell went downstairs, planning to look for Fiona Sutton in their usual hangouts.

Unexpectedly, as soon as she stepped out of the dormitory building, she saw Charles Northwood still standing there, holding his umbrella.

Nia Mitchell paused, surprised, and walked up to him, puzzled. "Why haven’t you left yet?"

Even though she had come down quickly, it had still been about ten minutes.

Charles Northwood, also somewhat surprised to see her return so quickly, didn’t answer her question. "Why did you come down so quickly?"
