Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict-Chapter 1061 - 1060 Lying
Chapter 1061: 1060 Lying
The air in the hospital ward suddenly became somewhat thin.
Suddenly, Gu Kai’s voice broke the silence, echoing deeply in the room, “Bai Yiyi, who is Tongtong’s biological father?”
Bai Yiyi’s heart skipped a beat.

A flash of panic swept through her eyes and quickly turned into anger, “What business is it of yours, Gu Kai? You’re not an ophthalmologist. If there’s nothing else, please leave and don’t disturb Tongtong and me while we rest.”
“Are you feeling guilty?”
Gu Kai narrowed his eyes sharply, and leaning forward, he immediately exerted a strong oppressive aura toward Bai Yiyi.
Instinctively, Bai Yiyi leaned back, distancing herself from him and forced herself to meet Gu Kai’s penetrating gaze straight on, “Why would I feel guilty? Stop being so paranoid. If you want a child, just hurry up and marry Fang Zhiwei and have one.”
A cold arc formed at the corners of Gu Kai’s mouth, “If I already have a child, would I need to have another?”
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about?”
Bai Yiyi’s face suddenly changed.
Her voice carried a hint of stiffness.
Gu Kai blinked nonchalantly and said slowly, “Bai Yiyi, I suspect Tongtong is my daughter, so if you don’t admit it, I will prove it myself.”
“Gu Kai, Tongtong has nothing to do with you.”
Bai Yiyi instinctively protected Tongtong, her gaze at Gu Kai filled with caution.
Last time, she could assert calmly that Tongtong had nothing to do with Gu Kai, but this time was different.
It seemed Gu Kai had come prepared, perhaps having developed some doubts and discovered something when he held Tongtong this morning. She knew that the kind of blood relation, thicker than water, was not something she could simply deny and Gu Kai would believe.
“Hasn’t it? Yet yesterday when I held Tongtong, I felt something very strange.”
Gu Kai seemed to be recalling the feeling of holding Tongtong that morning, “Bai Yiyi, I’m giving you one more chance. If you don’t admit it, I have my ways.”
“Tongtong is not yours.”
“I’ve calculated the days,” Gu Kai’s lips curled into a sneer.
“Let me tell you the truth, Tongtong is Elder Brother Li and my daughter. I’m now preparing to marry Elder Brother Li. That night with you, I took the morning-after pill.”
Gu Kai’s handsome face hardened, “Elder Brother Li’s daughter, you’re kidding me?”
“What good does lying to you do me? Because Tongtong is Li En’s daughter, that’s why he proposed to me last time, and I have already agreed,” Bai Yiyi’s heart panicked, and her hastily spoken words lost logic and coherence.
Gu Kai sneered, “Fine, then call Li En here. I want to see if he really is Tongtong’s biological father.”
“Fine, call him, let Elder Brother Li come tomorrow, and you can ask him yourself.”
“Call him now.”
Gu Kai was pressing, his eyebrows filled with anger, and his demeanor made Bai Yiyi somewhat fearful.
After all, she really had borrowed his ‘seed’.
In her mind, she viciously cursed Gu Kai as she reluctantly fished out her mobile phone under his intense, cold pressure.
“Don’t tip him off over the phone, just tell Li En to come to the hospital,” Gu Kai warned as she dialed.
Bai Yiyi pursed her lips; after two rings, Li En’s voice came through, “Hello, Yiyi, why are you calling so late? Is it Tongtong’s eyes…”
“Elder Brother Li, come to the hospital, I need to talk to you.”
Bai Yiyi cut off Li En, speaking calmly.
“Alright, I’m coming now.”
Though puzzled, Li En did not refuse; if Bai Yiyi needed him, he couldn’t possibly refuse.
Bai Yiyi hung up the phone, and Gu Kai turned and walked away.
“Where are you going?”
“Out to wait for Elder Brother Li.”
Gu Kai headed toward the door without looking back.
Bai Yiyi’s complexion drastically changed as she blocked him, “Gu Kai, you must not go meet Elder Brother Li alone.”
“Are you afraid that Li En won’t follow your script?” Gu Kai turned around, and from a few meters away, he looked at Bai Yiyi mockingly.
Under the light, Bai Yiyi’s face was somewhat pale as she met Gu Kai’s mocking gaze and said stiffly, “I don’t want to explain again to your girlfriend, Gu Kai. Miss Fang is such a good woman, how can you bear to hurt her?”
“How do I not know that I have hurt Zhi Wei?” Gu Kai said disdainfully.
“Haven’t you? Continuing like this and confronting Elder Brother Li, a fight is bound to happen. This is a hospital; if everyone here learns about our one-night stand, do you think Miss Fang won’t find out?” Bai Yiyi retorted.
Gu Kai frowned, about to retort, when Fang Zhiwei’s call came through.
He glanced at Bai Yiyi, pressed the answer key, and accepted Fang Zhiwei’s call in front of her, hearing her voice from the phone, “Ah Kai, have you finished work?”
“Not yet, have you finished watching the movie?”
Gu Kai adjusted his tone slightly, making his voice gentle and calm.
“It’s quite late, and the movie isn’t over yet. Ah Kai, I’m in your office now. I wanted to invite you for a late-night snack, but I couldn’t find you.”
Upon hearing this, Gu Kai slightly furrowed his brow, glanced at Bai Yiyi, and said, “I’m at the ward now, I’ll be back soon.”
“Are you in Haofeng’s ward? No need to come back, I’ll come to you.”
Fang Zhiwei finished speaking and, without waiting for him to respond, hung up the phone.
Gu Kai stared at the disconnected phone screen for a few seconds, then looked up at Bai Yiyi again and left the ward.
This time, Bai Yiyi did not stop him.
Instead, she breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that Gu Kai was not going to meet Li En but was going to meet his girlfriend.

In the early morning, Wen Ran woke up just as Mo Xiuchen finished dressing and came out of the walk-in closet.
Seeing her sit up, he strode to the bedside, reached out to support her, and asked softly, “Ranran, do you need to go to the restroom?”
“Yes.”
Wen Ran nodded. As the baby grew day by day, her trips to the restroom were increasing.
With Mo Xiuchen’s assistance, she got up from the bed and went to the restroom door. Only there did Mo Xiuchen release her.
“You don’t have to watch me. Go downstairs, have breakfast, and head to work.” Wen Ran entered the restroom and reached to close the door, but Mo Xiuchen stopped her, “Don’t close it; I’ll wait for you.”
Wen Ran wanted to refuse, but Mo Xiuchen had a reason, “Ranran, it’s inconvenient for you now with your big belly. I’m worried. There’s not much work in the office today. I can handle it in the morning and come back to be with you in the afternoon.”
Wen Ran’s lips moved, but she didn’t respond.
Mo Xiuchen knew she was silently protesting. His lips curved in an indulgent smile, and he dominantly stood at the restroom door, insisting on watching her for reassurance.
This behavior was not new today.
From the sixth month of Wen Ran’s pregnancy, he hadn’t allowed her to close the restroom door, citing his worries.
Not just this, the task of bathing her at night had also been dominantly taken over by him, and although he himself found it challenging each time he bathed Wen Ran, he still persisted.
Mo Xiuchen’s tenderness and consideration touched Wen Ran, yet it also made her feel helpless.
