Flash Marriage, Deep Love-Chapter 43 Sisterly Love
Chapter 43: Chapter 43 Sisterly Love
"What could possibly be your dilemma?" Mi Wan’s mouth held a touch of sarcasm, thinking to herself, Song Guotao’s acting was so clumsy, how did she not see through it before?
"I... I have a cleanliness obsession, an emotional one. So I couldn’t help but mind your past, mind the fact that you were once with Ji Dongquan!" Song Guotao stammered, looking very distressed.
Perhaps this was the truth, for Song Guotao did seem somewhat sincere, with a pained expression mixed with struggle and anguish.
But Mi Wan chose to ignore it, her cold mockery cutting through the air, "Isn’t it a bit late to mind it now?"
He knew about her past with Ji Dongquan from the beginning, and she had made it very clear before deciding to be with him. He had repeatedly said he didn’t care about her past and continued to treat her well, which moved her and made her decide to be with him. Now, after eight years, he’s saying he cares about her past relationship with Ji Dongquan?
Thinking along these lines, Mi Wan felt even colder. Was he calculating from the start?
Coming to this conclusion, Mi Wan felt even more disappointed, looking at Song Guotao as if looking at something filthy, feeling utterly disgusted.
"I always cared!"
Holding it in for years, Song Guotao suddenly became somewhat agitated, "Before we got married, I thought I wouldn’t mind. After we got married, I forced myself not to care. Wan, do you know how painful it has been for me all these years?"
"I don’t know, and I don’t want to know either!"
Mi Wan sneered disdainfully, then casually said, "Song Guotao, don’t tell me how aggrieved you’ve been all these years. You wanted to marry, I didn’t force you! And what exactly are you up to? Not divorcing earlier, not divorcing later, but choosing to reveal you have another woman outside only after becoming a shareholder of the company and wanting a divorce! I didn’t want to think too much before, but now, what do you expect me to think?"
Hearing this, Song Guotao’s alarm bells rang in his head, and he hurriedly defended, "It’s not what you think, Wan, don’t misunderstand..."
Misunderstand?
What is there to misunderstand?
Mi Wan, growing impatient, asked, "We’ve come to this point, do you still need to pretend? Or is it that only that woman deserves to see your true self?"
"..."
Song Guotao was rendered speechless by Mi Wan’s words, his face alternating between gloom and anger. He drank several sips of coffee, but it didn’t calm his anger.
Bang!
Song Guotao slammed the coffee cup onto the table, spilling some and dirtying the checkered tablecloth underneath.
Mi Wan watched coldly, realizing that Song Guotao was indeed a man of short temper!
"I want the photos Mi Jing took last night!" Since he couldn’t keep up the pretense, Song Guotao chose to be straightforward and directly revealed the purpose of their meeting with arrogance.
"Why should I give them to you?"
"You!" Song Guotao’s eyes turned sinister, and he threatened, "Don’t blame me for being ruthless!"
Mi Wan’s eyes flickered, and she pursed her lips, looking at Song Guotao coldly and silently.
She had never seen this side of Song Guotao. He had always appeared honest and considerate in front of her. This ruthless, cold-hearted persona was one she had never encountered before.
Shedding his disguise, Song Guotao felt much lighter, but under Mi Wan’s gaze, he couldn’t help but feel nervous.
Mi Wan’s capability was well-known to him. Though she appeared gentle and harmless, she was like a rabbit that could bite! Who knew what would happen if she was pushed too far? He wasn’t naive enough to think that his previous harsh words would scare Mi Wan, though he somewhat regretted his unmeasured outburst.
"Wan, I..."
Song Guotao wanted to recover from his earlier misstep, but before he could finish, Mi Wan interrupted, "Since you want to be ruthless, I have no need to show tolerance. The verbal agreement from last time is void. The savings, the car, the house, and the child will be mine!"
"I disagree!" Song Guotao’s face changed dramatically, slamming the table as he stood up to protest loudly!
"Then do you want to transfer the company shares to my name?" Mi Wan asked calmly.
"You’re dreaming!"
In the long run, his company shares were worth far more than the savings, car, and house. Besides, those shares represented his status and power in the company. How could he possibly give them to Mi Wan?
"If I want them, I’ll get them, whether you agree or not. So, while I’m still patient because of Xuanxuan, please move out of the villa and hand over the car keys! If not, don’t blame me!"
With that, Mi Wan stood up and was about to leave when Song Guotao grabbed her arm, "Mi Wan, don’t go too far!"
"I can go even further, do you want to see?" Mi Wan’s gaze turned icy, her tone cold.
"You think I’m afraid of you?" Song Guotao blustered, trying to appear calm.
"Then go ahead and file for divorce, I’ll see you in court."
Upon hearing this, Song Guotao reluctantly released Mi Wan’s arm, watching helplessly as she walked out of the private room. He was truly at his wits’ end. Not to mention Mi Wan’s extensive network and expertise in handling divorce cases, just the photos of him and Chen Wenyu gave her a significant advantage. He had no choice but to compromise, or he would lose even more.
"Wanwan, you’re back."
"Yes."
"Have you eaten?"
Seeing Mi Wan return, Mi Zhihong and Fang Qingru wiped away their earlier despondence and asked with bright smiles, their attitudes noticeably warmer than usual.
Noting their unusual behavior, Mi Wan responded with a faint smile, "Not yet."
"Oh, then your father and I will cook something." With that, Fang Qingru pulled Mi Zhihong to his feet and told Mi Jing, "Jingjing, have a good talk with Wanwan."
"Sure." Mi Jing readily agreed.
Watching her parents walk towards the kitchen, Mi Wan bitterly smiled and asked Mi Jing, "Did they find out?"
Mi Jing nodded and said, "They went to the villa district this morning and caught Song Guotao and that woman red-handed."
"And they..."
"They fully support whatever you decide." Mi Jing smiled, walking over to Mi Wan and linking arms with her, "Sis, let’s go for a walk downstairs."
This was a community with over twenty years of history. With the passage of time, the buildings had become somewhat old. Compared to the surrounding high-rises, they looked like dwarfs, a stark contrast. This little corner of the bustling city had witnessed countless moments of happiness, anger, sorrow, and joy over these twenty-plus years.
