If anyone told Tina that Remy of all people would also abandon her just like he did back on the stage, she wouldn't have believed it.

Remy not only bounced her call when she tried to reach him, but he sent her an apology text message terminating his appointment with her, - claiming he no longer felt safe working in the city and was relocating immediately.

But Remy's betrayal was nothing compared to the press released an hour after the catastrophic event.

According to the Movie Academy Awards spokesperson, Ferdinand Bell was disclosed to have acted alone by switching the name of the real award winner with that of his mistress after the result collation. He was immediately fired and charged to court for a couple of criminal charges.

Tina on the other hand was blacklisted on all future academy awards until further notice. She was stripped of all her earlier privileges as an A-list actor and also charged to court for tampering with Academy Award results.

"I'm finished."

Tina dropped her phone on the couch covering her face and crying out her heart.

"Who did this to me? How did all of these get out of hand? I was so careful."

Tina was so engrossed in her misery that she didn't notice her benefactor already standing in the sitting room holding a glass of juice in his right hand.

This hefty-looking man with a scar under his chin, who introduced himself as Carl, happened to be someone Tina had unknowingly ridiculed in the past.

Ever since then, he had been obsessed with her, waiting for the day he would make her eat back her words.

"Miss Tina, you need to stop doing this to yourself. Crying would only hurt your eyes and give you a headache. It won't change what has happened. Moreover, nothing lasts forever." Carl gently put the juice down on the table while taking a seat beside Tina.

"This whole setback is just a phase. Is going to pass. Trust me."

"Is easy for you to say." Tina exposed her crying bruised face to Carl, slightly repulsed by his flat nose.

"You are just a common security guard. You know nothing about a celebrity life. You're not the one whose perfect life and career is on the line. I may never be given any major lead roles again in big or small movie projects. My acting days could be over even before it began."

Carl chuckled inwardly slightly taking offense to Tina underrating him even in his own house. But he pretended not to be offended knowing she would be singing a different song by the time he was done with her.

"Don't be a pessimist, Miss Tina. People will soon forget about this once another scandal arises. Here drink this. It will make you relax and feel better."

"I don't want it." Tina hissed, turning her face away, and crying harder. "I don't feel like eating or drinking anything. My heart is broken. Everybody hates me, including my family and friends."

"What about me?" Carl was disgusted by her statement. "I don't hate you. I don't even care what people say about you. As a matter of fact, you are my biggest idol."

"Of course I am." Tina sneered while assessing her surroundings, broken at how she had fallen from grace to grass. She would have gone to a hotel to lodge for the night but it was too risky. People could easily discover her and heaven knows what they will do to her.

"You know what, I won't try to convince you. After all, I'm just a security guard and not one of those hot rich dudes. Nevertheless, you should learn to be open-minded and not look down on people. I'll be in the kitchen making you dinner if you need me."

Tina almost felt remorseful for her behavior but she was too broken by her problems to care.

After almost fifty minutes of wallowing in self-pity, Tina finally grabbed the glass of juice and drank the entire content.

Over the next couple of hours, she had no clue of what she was doing as her benefactor devoured her, possessively imprinting himself all over her until she was completely drained.

By the following morning, the entire Salvine city was buzzing with a lot of gossip.

Everyone had something to say about the disgraced actress, amplifying the event that took place are the award ceremony.

Hundreds of journalists gathered in front of the Stevens mansion awaiting to interview the disgraced actress. But sadly no one knew her whereabout after the previous night's incidents.

Inside the mansion, Kelvin was fuming with rage, listening to his mother beg him to allow his sister to return home.

Ever since Eunice recovered from her unconscious state, she hadn't stopped crying or pleading with her husband and her son.

Although her husband was willing to allow Tina to come home so that he could deal with her personally, Kelvin who felt betrayed and lied to by his younger sister swore she would never step foot into the mansion.

While the family of three were practically quarrelling within themselves, Eunice got a call from a strange number. At first, she ignored the call thinking it was one of the journalists trying to get information from her.

However, after two more unanswered calls, she received a text message claiming that it was Tina.

Excusing herself from the drawing room for fear of her eldest son, Eunice hurried towards the terrace to return the call.

When she dialled the number, it connected on the first ring.

"Hello, Tina, is that you?" Eunice's voice trembled as she spoke.

"Mom, please come and get me." Tennis's weak voice echoed from the other end of the phone.

"Oh my goodness, baby, where are you? Are you all right? Why is your voice sounding so low? Did someone hurt you?" Eunice asked in a heartbeat barely giving Tina room to speak.

"Just come and get me."

Eunice heard a scary male voice in the background, rebuking her daughter fiercely. This was followed by a tussle and a shriek of pure agony from Tina before the call instantly disconnected.
