First Immortal of the Sword-Chapter 1986: Many Thanks!
Chapter 1986: Many Thanks!
An astonishing war of gods unfolded across an endless stretch of time and space!
Everyone watching was stunned, and the gods here from the God Domain were horrified and overcome with disbelief.
“Those… Those are all Master Gods!” murmured a god.
Earlier, the true bodies of Wenren Qin, the Dipankara Buddha, and the other ten-plus Master Gods appeared from across an endless stretch of time and space, intent on destroying Su Yi’s hopes of proving his Dao and entering the Great Profound.
Who’d have thought that ten-plus more Master Gods would appear moments later? They were obviously from another camp, too, as they immediately attacked Wenren Qin, the Dipankara Buddha, and the rest of Su Yi’s enemies!!
“How many years has it been since the last time such divine battle took place?” someone asked, his scalp going numb.
Master Gods were the hegemons of the God Domain. They lived deep in seclusion and seldom ventured into the outside world; they never showed themselves lightly. All of them were like true modern legends.
Yet now, Su Yi’s Great Profound Tribulation had drawn two distinct camps of Master Gods out into the open, and they now waged war far, far away, across endless time and space. Who wouldn’t have been startled?
“Those Master Gods… look like those unparalleled experts who left for the Boundless Battlefield a long time ago!” someone exclaimed.
“Is it really them?”
“Does that mean that even after the Swordmaster of Spiritual Desolation, Li Fuyou, lost his life… those Master Gods continued fighting on the Boundless Battlefield?”
……
A clamor of voices arose on all sides as every divine avatar of will in the Epoch Battlefield lost their cool.
As for the newly advanced gods? Most were visibly bewildered, and their hearts quivered with fright.
“Daoist Brother, prove your Dao without fear! We’re here, and there’s absolutely no way we’ll tolerate a repeat of what happened back then!” said a faraway woman locked in combat with the Dipankara Buddha’s true body.
She was dressed in white, slender and sultry, and a dreamlike, illusory rain of the Light of the Grand Dao poured down around her. With every gesture, divine arcs of the tyrannical power of the natural order shot forth, firmly suppressing the Dipankara Buddha.
Her unparalleled valiance made countless deities’ hearts shake.
Luo Yao!
Su Yi recognized the woman at a glance. Way back in the Human Realm, Luo Yao revealed herself to him in the form of a remnant will left in her skeletal hand.
Su Yi vividly recalled when the Dipankara Buddha’s avatar of will threatened him over the River of Spacetime. In that moment of peril, Luo Yao’s avatar of will appeared to destroy the Dipankara Buddha’s avatar!
It was then that Su Yi learned that the mysterious Luo Yao was most likely acquainted with one of his past lives. She even respectfully addressed him as Daoist Brother!
By the same token, back then, Si Yi learned that long, long ago, Luo Yao and her allies left to wage war in a place known as the Boundless Battlefield. Their enemies were the very same gods who wanted to kill him.
And now, Luo Yao had appeared before him once more, with a dozen or so terrifying Master Gods by her side. Together, they attacked the Dipankara Buddha, Wenren Qin, and his other enemies.
There was no doubt about it. Luo Yao and her allies had long since sensed what was happening in the Epoch Battlefield. Thus, they appeared to intercept his enemies at this critical juncture!
“Daoist Brother, we’ve been waiting for your return all this time!” laughed a tall, stalwart man with a curly beard.
He gripped a warhammer as he clashed with the Severed Heavens Demon Master’s true body with ferocious valiance. His murderous intent was so overwhelming that it shook the entire stretch of spacetime.
“Hahaha! I’ve never been so happy in my life. Die! Die! Die!” An unkempt old man threw back his laugh as if insane, then gripped his spear and leaped into the fray.
“Daoist Brother, all of us are waiting for you!”
……
One voice after another arose across endless time and space. As Luo Yao and her allies attacked, they called out to Su Yi, their voices full of the utmost excitement and delight.
This scene left countless others shaken.
The Dipankara Buddha, the Angler, and the others’ avatars of will had incomparably dark looks on their faces. This development came as a complete surprise.
“Something’s undoubtedly gone wrong in the Boundless Battlefield. Otherwise, there’s no way that Li Fuyou’s old friends could possibly have gotten involved!” the Dipankara Buddha said in a low, icy voice.
Su Yi peered into the tribulation clouds and watched the battle raging from across endless time and space. When he saw Luo Yao and the others locked in fierce combat, his heart shook.
He clasped his fist and inclined his head in greeting. “Many thanks.”
Kaboom!
The Sword of the Nine Hells whooshed forth, sending sword qi flying in all directions. It tore the tribulation clouds apart, its unparalleled sword force suppressing its surroundings, including all of the tribulation’s calamitous power.
Moments later, the Sword of the Nine Hells let out an ear-splitting hum, and the tribulation clouds dispersed!
Then, its work complete, it blurred into a beam of light and vanished into Su Yi’s sea of consciousness. A waterfall of resplendent light enveloped Su Yi’s entire body.
The visions displayed deep within the clouds popped like a soap bubble and vanished.
The taboo battle of gods vanished too. All that remained were a few fleeting voices drifting over from afar.
“Congratulations on proving your Dao, Daoist Brother!”
“Daoist Brother, we eagerly await the day of your return.”
“We’re waiting for you!”
……The Master Gods fighting alongside Luo Yao spoke with the utmost eagerness and delight.
But a clamor of infuriated, bitter voices rang out as well. These were the voices of the Dipankara Buddha, the Angler, and the others.
Most of the gods gathered in the Epoch Battlefield had complicated looks on their faces. They were astonished, but bewildered, too.
Master Gods had joined forces against him, but they still couldn’t stop Su Yi from proving his Dao and entering the Great Profound.
Earlier, who’d have dared to believe such a thing?
Meanwhile, Su Yi’s tall, upright figure stood beneath the dome of heaven, bathed in a rain of light. He shone as brilliantly as the sun, single-handedly illuminating the firmament. Anyone who saw him could have sensed the earth-shaking transformation he was undergoing.
“He could kill Lesser Gods even in the Great Unity Stage. How terrifying has he become now that he’s broken through and transformed?” someone asked in a quavering voice.
Suddenly, someone charged into the air and attacked.
Boom!
Heaven and earth swayed, and dense purple light of the natural order condensed into a spear. The Severed Heavens Demon Master took hold of it, then shot through the air and attacked.
This attack was endlessly tyrannical, swift, and terrifying. It brought with it murderous intent so monstrous that the surrounding nine hundred thousand feet of sky quivered and wailed.
A deafening impact followed.
The Severed Heavens Demon Master’s attack pierced the rain of Dao Light surrounding Su Yi with ease. Its tip continued toward Su Yi’s chest.
But then, Su Yi clasped his palms, stopping this utterly destructive strike and holding the spear firmly in place. He just stood there, like the endless blue skies. He seemed utterly unshakeable.
The Severed Heavens Demon Master’s pupils constricted.
“Die!” He bellowed, and his imposing aura expanded as he poured his full strength into his sword.

Bang! Bang! Bang!
A rapidfire series of explosions rang out.
Su Yi just stood there, palms together. He didn’t move a muscle, but the purple spear shattered, inch by inch, scattering countless droplets of destructive power.
The Severed Heavens Demon Master looked stricken. He tried to change his approach, only for Su Yi’s hands to suddenly form a seal and press down.
It was as if he were holding a boundless, enormous mountain aloft, then slamming it into the dome of heaven.
Bang!
The Severed Heavens Demon Master plummeted from the heavens like a kite with its strings cut and crashed against the ground with such force that he created a massive crater.
A cloud of dust filled the air as the Severed Heavens Demon Master rose, his face covered in dirt. His avatar of will was now damaged in numerous places.
Gasps arose throughout the crowd. One strike, and Su Yi sent a Master God’s avatar of will flying!
Su Yi seemed like a completely different person from the wretched figure he’d cut during the gods’ pursuit.
Furthermore, he’d only just proven his Dao, and his transformation was ongoing.
“Don’t just stand there! He’s only just proven his Dao, and his cultivation base is not yet stable. This is an ideal opportunity to kill him!” the Severed Heavens Demon Master struggled out of the crater and bellowed.
“That’s right. We absolutely cannot give him any further opportunities at life,” Master God Tian Huang said icily. His murderous intent filled the air.
“Every god present, heed my command and join us in executing this heretic. Anyone who defies my orders will one pay for their disobedience!” said the Dipankara Buddha, his voice booming in all directions.
The numerous gods’ hearts clenched as they realized that if they failed to take down Su Yi, they wouldn’t just lose their avatars of will. Even their true bodies would be at risk of the Master Gods’ reprisal!
This was a command, as well as a threat! Who’d dare to disobey?
“Get him!” said Wenren Qin. She took to the skies, seething with murderous intent.
Practically simultaneously, the other Master Gods took action. Their divine majesty alone was enough to blanket heaven and earth, shaking the skies so intensely that they ripped apart like canvas.
They each displayed their shocking secret arts, all of them targeting the same person.
Meanwhile, over one hundred divine avatars, as well as a group of newly advanced gods, gnashed their teeth and entered the fray.
There was no other choice they could make. For one thing, they’d seen Su Yi as their common foe even prior to descending into the Immortal Realm. They’d worked with the Master Gods to chase and capture Su Yi.
Second, just now, they’d worked with the Master Gods to attack the Chaos Dao Cave. There was already a grudge between them and Su Yi, so they couldn’t turn back now!
“Die! Die! Die!”
Heaven-shaking roars resounded throughout heaven and earth, throwing the world into upheaval. Everything was in chaos.
Only a select few chose not to attack, including Divine Venerate Xi Yue and Feng Wuji. They stood in the distance, watching his grand battle take place. The noise and force alone were enough to send chills throughout their entire bodies.
Su Yi stood beneath the heaven and watched this all play out, his gaze as calm as the waters of an ancient well.
When the Master Gods attacked, they sealed off all possible escape routes. There was nowhere to hide and nowhere to run.
But Su Yi had no intention of retreating.
Admittedly, he’d only just broken through, and he’d yet to stabilize his cultivation base, but he was still nothing like he’d been during the gods’ earlier pursuit. He wasn’t even remotely comparable!
Clang!
He took the Sword of Proximity in hand. It extended to four feet long, billowing with chaos qi.
A moment later, he leaped into the fray.
Boom!
The ten-plus Master Gods’ attacks blanketed heaven and earth like a flood of destructive power, splitting and exploding the skies.
Su Yi took a deep breath, activated the power of reincarnation, and displayed the Six Paths Sword Wheel. It was as if a true world of reincarnation were descending with the blade of his sword.
The sky shook and split with a bang. All of creation dimmed, and everything was plunged into upheaval. It was like the descent of the apocalypse.
Su Yi was forced back on impact, but…
He’d blocked the Master Gods’ joint attack in a single slash!
