Fated to the Alpha's Sons: An Omegas Rise to Fame-Chapter 88: Dad’s Secret
Chapter 88: Dad’s Secret
"So they kill people." Bethany muttered.
"Yep. Whenever necessary." He said nodding. "Hold up. Don’t tell me you’re shocked." His eyes searching her face. freeweɓnøvel~com
"No. Not at all. That would be weird. We are werewolves, we kill. It happens." She said, looking up at him.
"Then why did you seem so lost in thought?" He asked.
"I just didn’t exactly picture them that way. Most people see you as the psychopath. You know, the one that kills like it’s a game." She explained, shrugging.
"You mean, you used to see me as a psychopath." He pointed, his eyes void of any emotions, worrying Beth.
"Actually, I knew very little about all of you. You had already graduated when I started high school. I had only seen you guys in passing, and never really cared about what you guys did, or what you were. I only know from what my parents say that a lot of people see you that way, but Dad always counters it, like he’s known you three since birth." She said.
"He has actually. He was the one who made sure no one found out that three sons had been born in less than two minutes. If he had failed, I’d probably be dead by now." Theo said, chuckling, his eyes distant.
"Dead?" Beth couldn’t help but ask. "Why?" She sounded really concerned, it was not making sense to her at all.
"Because, it could be considered a bad omen, and our pack had been infiltrated by enemies that period. So he made sure absolutely no one but him, the pack doctor and Father had known that Mum was in labor. She gave birth to us in a dungeon underground, and stayed there with your father and Simeon until Dad and Beta Bellingham neutralized the situation and strengthened the pack."
"Since then, he’s been like a secret father figure to us. He bought us our first school bags, and they were filled with lots of sweets." Theo smiled relieving the memory. "I had half of Tristan’s. He was a douche and we made a bet on a whim, and I won. We had so much fun with does sweets."
It all made sense to her now. Why her parents had willingly accepted that she was mated to the boys. Why they hadn’t bothered her every step of the way. Why they looked scared to hell when he warned them that night she had decided to stay over at their penthouse.
Everything made sense.
"Princess," Theo called his hand on hers, pulling her out of her reverie. "Are you okay? Did I say something?" He asked, his voice solemn.
"No, no. You didn’t. I’m just connecting the dots, that’s all. I’m happy though." She said smiling a bit.
"Why?"
"I feel safer knowing you guys are pretty familiar with my parents. It’s very out of the box but, it does make me really glad." She admitted.
"I’m glad it does." Theo responded, relieved.
"So." She said, clapping her hands lightly. "Unto the next question."
"I’m all ears." Theo said, lighthearted but dreading her next question. He couldn’t help it.
"You remember that stuff that happened with Troy, that you had to come pick me?" She asked.
"Yeah, I do." Theo replied tentatively, not sure he liked where the conversation was headed.
"Tristan said you all have dark pasts and memories." She said gently.
"Yes, we do," Theo said, swallowing.
"What are yours?" She asked quietly, almost in a whisper.
"Bethany -"
"I just wanted to know." She explained, cutting him off. " If you can’t tell me yet, then there’s no issue at all. I just want to know where the trigger point is so I can avoid it."
"Princess." He called when she had stopped talking.
"Yeah?" She responded softly, hoping she hadn’t struck a bad nerve.
"You did nothing wrong by asking, okay?" He pacified.
"Okay." She said, still looking at him, waiting for the rest of his statement.
"I know it’s not wise to keep you waiting, but I really don’t know if I’m ready to tell you yet, Princess." He admitted, his head hanging low.
Bethany was so speechless. She wanted to assure him that everything was okay and that she wasn’t going to ask him again, but she knew it wasn’t remotely enough, so she just sat quietly in a dilemma.
"I’m so sorry." He apologized.
"It’s okay. We are good. I just wanted to know the places to avoid touching, just like Troy’s back." She explained. "The story can come whenever. I’m not going anywhere." She said softly.
Sighing, he lifted his head, looking into her eyes."My ass. It’s my ass." He muttered, utterly embarrassed.
Bethany was speechless, so many scenarios flashing in her head.
"Who did it?" She asked, her tone void of any emotions.
"He’s dead, and so are his family members. I made sure I wiped them out." He said, eliciting a sigh of relief from her.
"I never thought I’d be this happy for murder." She said chuckling to herself.
"Shit happens." He said, shrugging his slouching shoulders.
"Yeah, it does." She said, fixing the hand of her dress. " Now. That’s enough personal questions for the day. I haven’t taken any pictures for Mum, neither have I seen my chocolate fountain." She said pouting.
"Alright, Love. Let’s go." He said nodding and chuckling.
Gingerly, she slipped out of her booth, taking her purse with her, removing her phone then gave her purse to him.
She took his outstretched hand, and he led her to the shop’s cashier, swiping his card then they left the place, heading to. The fountain.
"We haven’t used our gloves yet." He pointed, holding her really close to him.
"We can use them when we’re done with the fountain." She quipped, her eyes on a gigantic structure.
"Want to take a photo there?" He asked, reading her expressions.
"Yes!" She squealed, laughing.
"Come on, let’s take a photo." He said, leading her to the statue.
"Sir, there’s a situation. We have to leave."
