Fated to the Alpha–And His Triplet Brothers-Chapter 286: Murder.
Then, I allowed this demon to touch me, and it started pulling me out of where I was, my heart pounding in my chest as I waited for him to drag me to a secluded area where there’s no hint of demon. Then I hit his head hard as he stumbled on the floor.
He turned to me and said, "You have not lost your memories, haven’t you? You are faking. You are pretending."
I turned my head.
"Aww, are you just realizing that?" I said. "Versa."
I spat out, starting to strangle his neck. He held his neck in struggle, trying to release it. Then I started raising him up.
"If you dare utter a word to anyone, I promise you, I will tell Darius. I will tell George," he said, trying to hold onto his neck.
And I looked at him with pity in my eyes.
"I’m sorry, you will not even live to tell the tale."
I crunched my hand and he fell to the ground, unconscious. I had already sucked the life out of him. And then I carried his body, threw him in the nearby hall, and then threw him outside of the window. Most of the demons were already asleep.
It’s usually said that demons don’t play with their night duties. I heard that while I was faking from one of the random demon maids.
And then, I was thinking if I should go back to the room or if I should just remain here. Then I made up my mind to go back into the room.
I went back and Darius was still very much sleeping. I slept in the bed next to him and gazed at the roofing.
I wonder what Leon is doing right now. He must have been pissed he did not get to see me go. But it is not actually my fault. I needed to go immediately or he would have tried to stop me. And him stopping me would really be a bad thing.
The last thing I remember was his face sleeping gently. If we are meant to truly have a nice happy ending, then that would be possible.
I don’t know when I dozed off. I don’t know when I dozed off gazing at the roofing. When I woke up, it was the gentle rays of sunlight meeting my face through the window. And I also felt a hand touching my face.
My eyes flew open to see Darius. His hand was caressing my face.
"Good morning, wife," he said.
And then I stammered, "Good morning, husband."
Then he nodded.
"Last night, you were really very hyperactive, I must say," he said.
And then I nodded. I chuckled nervously.
"Come on. Let’s go take your bath."
"Bath?" I stammered.
"Yes, your bath. I will bathe you, don’t worry. I don’t want any of these demon maids messing with you. They hate you, you understand. You know, our wedding was the first wedding to be crashed. Our wedding was considered a bad omen by the entire Demon City. I don’t want to risk your life. So, I’ll be bathing you myself. I’ll be picking your dress by myself. And I’ll be feeding you by myself. Till we get married and we have children. And you have finally been able to call yourself a demon."
"I understood," I said.
"So, you want to bathe for—"
"Yes, I want to. Now, let’s go to the bathroom."
"No." I stretched my hands out. "No, no, no. I mean, it is kind of unusual. It’s usually my mom that bathes for me, and my mom told me not to let random people bathe for you." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
He completed the sentence for me, and I swallowed my guts.
"Well, too bad I’m not random, and too bad you’ve lost your own memory. You have the memory of a child now, and you can’t properly bathe yourself. Your body is now bigger than you can remember, isn’t it? You know that. And I need to get a wig for you. Your red hair is now so short you look like a man. Anytime I’m looking at you, I can’t look at my wife properly, so I’ll tell them to get a white wig for you. You’ll be identical to mine."
"What?" I asked out of surprise.
"Yes, you will properly be accepted into this demon city, and everything will be very much fine for you. When the demons see you have white hair like them, they will not need to discriminate against you again, which is good. And you’ll be the mother of the next powerful demon lord. So, you will need the red hair— you need the white hair."
"I don’t think I’ll wear white hair."
"That’s an argument for later." He brushed it aside. "Let’s go to the bathroom."
He walked towards me and then held my hand. The sheet he was using to cover his body slowly dropped and his muscular abs and everything were out.
I just twisted my gaze away.
Ew, is he trying to seduce me with that pale skin?
I rolled my eyes as he started pulling me to the bathroom.
Then I suddenly released my hand from him.
"Ow, my stomach is hurting," I said, pretending.
And then he immediately lifted me onto the bed.
"Your stomach is what? Are you seriously alright?"
"My stomach is just hurting."
And then— I was lying. But suddenly, my stomach just started hurting. Like, truly.
I let out a painful gasp.
And then he rubbed my stomach.
"What’s wrong with you? Did you eat something? Have any of those demon maids poisoned you? I knew not to trust them. I’ll behead anyone—"
Then I held him after the pain had stopped.
"It’s fine, it’s fine."
"Are you sure? I will call the healer now. They will come and check up on you."
"I said, I’m fine, Darius," I said, and he swallowed.
Truly, I started wondering where that pain came from. I was lying, but then... it suddenly came true.
That was when Rebecca busted in.
"I knew the girl is fake!" she yelled, bursting inside.
I blinked while Darius immediately pulled me to his side.
"What happened now, Rebecca? I thought I already told you no—"
She cut him off.
"This here little bitch is a dumbass fake, and she’s pretending because she knows."
"What do I know?" I asked. "Darius, I’m scared." I said, hiding behind Darius. "She reminds me of those monsters my mom used to tell me in tales," I murmured, and Darius stretched his hands.
"Rebecca, stay back."
"No. This girl is a bitch. She has her powers and her memories, and she killed one of us last night."
"What?"
Darius turned to me.
"Last night?"
I blinked at Rebecca.
"Calvin!" she called out, and then a demon entered.
"Nothing. Nothing is here."
"Yes. A body was found in the forest last night. A body was found in the forest this morning, and when we checked the body, it was killed last night. My Lord, we cannot let this go away. There has been no death issue among one of us until she arrived, so we are guessing she was the one who killed him."
Darius turned to me with shock in his eyes.
"No. Husband, are you seriously doubting me? I don’t even know how to kill. My mom told me that my power will be back soon. I don’t have my powers yet."
"I believe Aurora," he said.
"Lorden," Rebecca shook her head. "No. Darius, you’re blind. At least if you don’t believe me, George will, and I’m just waiting for him to be back, and I will tell him, and we will have this foolish, dumbass girl beheaded."
Rebecca said, and Darius slammed his hand on the desk.
"You will not dare talk to my wife like that," he said.
And Rebecca blinked.
"And you will not dare cover up your shitty wife’s behaviors. Darius, she killed one of us. One of us! She killed Anthony. He was your best friend back in the days."
Darius turned to me again. He was starting to believe, and I shook my head.
"How would I kill? I was with you yesterday night, and I fell asleep even before you. How would I have the chance to go outside and kill when you were sleeping beside me?"
Then Darius turned back.
"You heard her. You left us in the room here yesterday. There is no fucking way my wife would have killed that bloody-ass demon," he said.
And then my stomach started paining me again. I held my stomach tight as my gaze felt blurry, but I couldn’t stumble down. I just couldn’t.
"My stomach hurts," I murmured.
And then the pain left again, and I looked up.
"Fine."
Rebecca walked towards me.
"I know that you committed this murder, and I will prove it soon, you little bitch."
I just blinked innocently.
"Darius, she scares me."
"Rebecca, leave now," Darius said.
And then she sighed. Then she left.
