Chapter 945 -945 She looks like someone in her eyes and eyebrows…
Jasmine Yale held a stack of interview materials as she walked out of Jingcheng University.
The interview scores were announced on the spot, and she unsurprisingly took the top spot in the examination hall.
The examiners praised her but also gave a suggestion that she needed more confidence.
She knew that her inferiority complex was deeply ingrained over the years, and she was not in a hurry to change it right away. Once abroad, she would have more time and space of her own.
Jasmine held an umbrella in one hand and her materials in the other.
Today, her mood was very good.
The air was filled with the scent of flowers and a crisp freshness, the sky was a clear blue, cloudless.
“Miss Jasmine Yale, please wait,” suddenly, a woman’s voice came from behind her.
Jasmine was startled and stopped.
Was she calling her?
Jasmine turned around, squinting in search of the source of the voice against the sunlight.
There were many people coming and going at the campus gate, most of them students.
Jasmine looked around until an elegant middle-aged woman approached her.
The woman appeared particularly young, only the crow’s feet at the corners of her eyes betrayed her age.
The woman was dressed in a deep purple cheongsam, her hair done up in a bun, her makeup delicate, her demeanor distinguished.
She too held a sun umbrella, and beneath the sunlight, the pearl necklace around her neck radiated a charming luster.
There was no particular sparkle in the woman’s eyes, her deep gaze seemed to have an unfathomable depth.
She walked towards Jasmine in white high heels, her face always adorned with an appropriate smile.
“Hello, did you call me?” Jasmine looked at her.
“Yes, Miss Yale, do you have a moment? Can we talk in my office?” the woman’s smile remained captivating.
Jasmine looked at her without moving: “Do we know each other?”
Confusion filled Jasmine’s eyes; she didn’t recognize the woman, but there was something about the woman’s features that reminded her of someone…
Who?

Oh, Joan Harry.
She had only seen Joan Harry twice, but the girl was so beautiful it was hard to forget her.
“I am a professor in the Chinese department at Jingcheng University, Cora Jorney, and also Joan Harry’s mother,” the woman smiled warmly, “I just happened to hear that you were interviewing at Jingcheng University, so I thought I’d have a chat with you.”
Jasmine paused for a few seconds.
She thought she understood Cora Jorney’s intentions.
Jasmine did not refuse and nodded.
Without further ado, Cora led the way with her umbrella towards her office.
Jasmine followed behind her without initiating conversation.
The air conditioning was on in Cora Jorney’s office, and upon entering, a chill greeted them.
Jasmine closed her umbrella and followed her inside.
“Please sit, Miss Yale,” Cora offered her tea, “I’m not sure what you prefer, but all I have here is British black tea.”
“Thank you, I can serve myself,” Jasmine hurriedly replied.
Cora poured two cups of tea, smiling at Jasmine.
“Miss Yale looks younger than I imagined, a babyface, almost like a freshman,” Cora remarked with a smile, “I know you’re not much older than Joan.”
“Um,” Jasmine didn’t know how to respond, unaccustomed to dealing with strangers.
“I heard from the foreign languages department that Miss Yale did very well in the interview. Are you planning to study abroad?”
“Yes, I have another interview next month, and if I pass, I’ll be going to study abroad,” Jasmine responded.
“Do you have enough for the tuition? I hear the University of Cakago is quite expensive,” Cora asked with concern.
“My salary for a year after graduation should just cover it.”
