Butler Santana called out and headed toward the staircase.

Chale Cheney was very obedient and immediately let go of Riceball, cheerfully walking to the dining table.
The table was decorated with beautiful multicolored silk flowers, vibrant and eye-catching.
“Miss Serval, would you like some more?”
“No need, I had breakfast at the hotel,” Lilac Serval shook her head, “I’ll just wait for Chale.”
Butler Santana didn’t say much but poured hot tea for Lilac Serval.
Riceball was well-behaved, occasionally lying at Chale Cheney’s feet and sometimes standing up to turn around, without causing any fuss.
Chale Cheney drank his milk and ate his sandwich, along with his favorite egg tarts and strawberry cheese.
The scent of breakfast lingered in the air, sweet and fragrant.
“Aunt Lilac, is Jasy feeling better?” he asked, blinking.
“Much better.”
“Then is she still asleep? It’s so early; it might disturb Jasy’s lazy morning sleep.”
“It won’t be early by the time we get there,” Lilac Serval said.
“Hmm.”
Chale Cheney bit into his tasty sandwich.
A flickering glow wafted in Lilac Serval’s eyes, stirring an endless wave of emotions.
Mr. Sylvan Cheney had instructed her to take Chale directly to the airport; once the flight arrived, she was to get him on the plane.
From then on, it would be long, relentless training, filled with endless hardships.
“Aunt Lilac, is Uncle McIntosh feeling better?”
“He is better now,” Lilac Serval lied, “Do you like him a lot?”
“Yes, I really like Uncle McIntosh. Whenever he’s free, he picks up and drops off the baby at school and attends parent-teacher meetings for the baby!”
Lilac Serval remained silent, just watching Chale Cheney.
For the first time, she realized how well-behaved and adorable a child could be.
Such a cute little baby… how could Mr. Cheney bear to send him to the training camp?
Lilac Serval sighed.
Maybe just because his last name was Cheney.
Chale Cheney nibbled on his breakfast, eating happily.
The sun gradually rose, casting sunlight across the floor, the brown wood grain radiating the sun’s freshness and a crisp sheen.
Perhaps Chale was eager to see Jasmine Yale; he ate quickly.
At eight o’clock, he jumped off the chair and hopped excitedly to Lilac Serval’s side.
“Aunt Lilac, let’s go to the hospital, I really want to see Jasy, really badly.”
“Let’s go,” Lilac Serval took Chale Cheney’s hand.
Stepping on the delicate sunlight, she led Chale down the steps.
Golden light poured down like a waterfall, every joyful expression on Chale’s face clearly visible.
As they got into the car, Lilac Serval took one last look at the villa.
Farewell for now.
The next time she came, who knew when that would be.
Perhaps when she was bringing Chale back again, or perhaps… there might never be a return.
Warm wind blew on the treetops, sunlight flowed, the light and shadows dazzling.
Her stay in Landon hadn’t been long; the winters here were dry and cold.
Before arriving, she had wondered what Landon was like. After experiencing it, she felt slightly different.
It was not much different from the Landon she had imagined.
The car drove further and further away, and gradually, the villa blended into a small dot, no longer visible.
The little fellow sat in the back, swinging his little short legs.
His big eyes blinked, his long eyelashes fluttering slightly, so happy.
He was about to see Jasy!
“Aunt Lilac, baby really misses Jasy. Is she suffering a lot because she’s sick? Baby wants to stay by her side,” Chale spoke in a babyish voice.
“Little Chale, are you tired? How about taking a nap? When you wake up, you’ll be able to see Miss Yale,”
“Can I call Jasy?”
