Fated love: the unwanted bride-Chapter 763 - : This Mysterious Child
Chapter 763: Chapter 763: This Mysterious Child
“Hi, Xandra.” Jasmine Yale waved back at her cheerfully, “Long time no see.”
Indeed, it had been a long time.
In the video call, Xandra Mackenzie was wearing a taro-purple woolen skirt and a high ponytail. She looked innocent and charming.
She embodied the unique vitality and cuteness of teenagers.
“Sister Jasmine, are you going to study abroad?” Xandra Mackenzie asked.
“Yes, I’m going to UT.”
...
“That’s great, I can visit you when I go to the US.”
Professor Mackenzie rapped on her hand: “You girl, always thinking about playing around. You’ve got your college entrance exams fast approaching, get serious.”
“Dad, I’m just making plans in advance with Sister Jasmine.” Xandra pouted.
“Xandra, focus on your final exams. Once they’re done, you can visit the US during your summer vacation.” Jasmine Yale laughed.
Although nothing was final yet, she looked forward to it.
The four years she spent in college in Landon didn’t leave her with many fond memories.
It took her three years to finally get over the gloom. If she could go back to the college, she would definitely value her student life more.
In the meantime, she would work hard at Respected Majesty, save up plenty of money without being capricious.
In recent days, she clearly understood these thoughts.
However, when she thought of that man … her eyebrows furrowed slightly.
The truth was, he was indeed not included in her future plans.
“Sister Jasmine, I won’t disturb you on your call with dad anymore. I’ll go do my homework.” Xandra waved before signing off.
“Go ahead.” Jasmine Yale waved back.
Xandra’s ponytail bobbed as she disappeared from Jasmine’s view.
Jasmine’s mood immediately improved a lot, she continued discussing the subject with Professor Mackenzie.
The rain “whooshed” outside the window, filling the air with a heavy mist.
The puddles on the ground grew larger, drops of water bounced around like tiny pearls.
The sky darkened, the temperature dropped suddenly.
…
At around five in the evening, night began to fall.
The lights started to glow, a row of street lights illuminated the ground, and the puddles on the ground sparkled with gleaming reflections.
Lake Watch Tower Hotel was in the city center, boasting great location and height.
Sylvan Cheney’s Rolls-Royce stopped steadily downstairs.
The doorman, holding an umbrella, greeted him.
Sylvan Cheney got out of the car, buttoned his suit, and walked into the hotel.
In the dimly lit hotel corridor, he followed the waiter, driven by a strong aura.
The buttons of his suit sparkled silver under the light. The impassive, stern look was constant on Sylvan Cheney’s face.
“Mr. Cheney, here’s the private room reserved by Mr. Childe.” The waiter opened the door.
“Has he arrived yet?”
“Not yet.”
“Hm,” was the acknowledgment.
Sylvan Cheney walked inside, and the waiter poured him some tea.
Sylvan gave Spencer Childe a call.
“Grandfather, I have arrived.”

“I’m stuck in traffic, I will be there in fifteen minutes.” Spencer Childe sat in the back seat of his car, “Also, bring Chale Cheney. The last time I saw him, he was still a toddler.”
“Okay, I’ll call the driver.”
“Good.”
Without further conversation, Sylvan Cheney hung up.
Spencer Childe had never fancied the mysterious child, Chale Cheney. Sylvan Cheney was surprised at his sudden request to meet Chale.
Sooner or later, Chale would eventually have to meet his great-grandfather.
Better sooner than later.
Sylvan immediately made a call to the driver, instructing him not to return to the villa and instead head straight to Lake Watch Tower Hotel.
Sylvan lightly tapped a cigarette, staring pensively at the rain curtain outside the window.
