Fated love: the unwanted bride-Chapter 2101: Are His Grades Not Very Good?
"Hello, are you the parent of Little Chale Cheney?" The young female teacher spoke fluent English.
Jasmine Yale didn’t know how to admit it, but she nodded and replied, "I am. Is Chale Cheney well-behaved at school?"
The female teacher walked outside the classroom, her voice calm yet somewhat helpless, "Little Chale Cheney is very well-behaved, gets along well with his classmates, but he doesn’t like participating in class and school activities, which isn’t ideal. Kids should integrate more into groups."
"He hasn’t troubled you, has he?"
"No, Little Chale Cheney is very good, very obedient, all the teachers like him very much."
"How is his academic performance?"
"He’s very bright and diligent, although his current grades aren’t top-tier, he will definitely do better in the future."
The teacher spoke very tactfully, but Jasmine Yale picked up on the implication.
In other words, Chale Cheney isn’t doing well academically.
How could he not do well... Little Chale is so smart, how could he not do well?
He knew many things only elementary school students learn when he was three, how could he not do well?
Jasmine Yale couldn’t believe it.
"Teacher, please tell me honestly, is Chale Cheney’s academic performance not very good?"
"Since you’re Little Chale Cheney’s mom, I’ll speak frankly. In the last test, Little Chale Cheney ranked thirty-fifth out of forty kids in the class. Are you very busy? If you have time, you should spend more time with the child; I noticed it’s always a driver who picks up Student Chale Cheney every day."
Jasmine Yale was stunned.
Little Chale is so smart, how could his grades be so poor?
He was always the class leader when he was in kindergarten back in Landon!
"Teacher, please call me if anything comes up, could you give me a phone number?"
"Sure." The female teacher gave Jasmine Yale a string of numbers.
Jasmine Yale quickly took out a pen to jot them down.
The female teacher chatted with Jasmine Yale for a while longer. Despite her cordial attitude and gentle temperament, her speech was still tactful. Jasmine Yale learned from the teacher’s few words that Chale Cheney was very unsocial in class, disliked participating in activities, and most of the time was silently doing his homework alone.
He also didn’t do the craft assignments the teacher gave, resulting in zero scores in craft class.
Jasmine Yale was very worried; this was not okay.
After hanging up the phone, Jasmine Yale stood at the window for a long time.
Once she reached a quiet place, Jasmine Yale called Chale Cheney.
"Little Chale, have you finished your homework? Are you home?"
"Uncle came, I’m going home now."
"Be careful on the road, our Little Chale is the best behaved, right?"
"Yes, behaved."
"Little Chale, when is the midterm exam?"
"Next month."
"Next month, huh. Can you score first place?"
On the other side, there was silence.
Jasmine Yale felt her heart tug; before, when they were in Landon, whenever she asked this sort of question, Chale Cheney would always confidently say, "I can do it."
"I can’t," Chale Cheney spoke.
"Our Little Chale is the best; there’s still a month left, no way you won’t do well. Little Chale, how about this, if you score in the top ten in your class in the midterm exam, Jasy will give you a gift, okay?"
On the other side, still silence.
"From now on in the evenings, Jasy will tutor you, okay? Starting tonight, tonight we’ll start. When you get home, open the video call, anything you don’t understand, Jasy will teach you," Jasmine Yale gently coaxed.
