As of this moment, Mystic couldn’t help the rush of joy he was feeling, as every one of his players had made major improvements.

The biggest leap belonged to Kado Daniels, giving Mystic a fresh reminder of why talent really matters; Mystic had actually put his double-training boost on Tasty to help push him toward the bronze rank as fast as possible.

Though Mystic acted unbothered about how the matter with the Bariga YB had concluded, however beneath the calm facade he was still a hot-blooded man; the Adekunle matter still pissed him off.

He couldn’t get over the betrayal so easily, so he had focused on building his own striker, someone who know would clearly surpass Adekunle.

Naturally, Tasty not only had better talent than him, but he was likely to far surpass Adekunle once he entered the bronze rank due to the talent gap between both mages.

For now, Mystic believed Tasty would have to stay humble and keep grinding until that day he would surpass Adekunle comes; what is just baffling him now was that even with all the push and investment, it seemed to him that Kado Daniels would reach the bronze rank before him, making Mystic realise that if he’d put even a little more focus on Kado instead of chasing a bronze-rank striker, he might already have one Bronze rank player too on his team which would push them to a higher level.

And it would be even better, as Kado was an Epic-talent keeper, but what’s done is done; and there’s no use crying over spilled milk.

Because due to all that investment he had made Apart from Kado, Tasty trailed just behind and was about to hit Level 8 too; meanwhile Mojo, Jezzy Vingz, Lambert, and Bhola had all reached Level 7, with Oyebuchi being the only starter in midfield still lagging at Level 6.

As he went down the list, he sighed, his defence was still very much weak; their lower talent made it harder to gain enough experience to level up like the others.

Then he remembered that there was a notification he’d ignored earlier in an underground match; so now that he was done reviewing his players’ improvements, he felt it was time to bring it back up.

“X, pull up the notifications I missed,” Mystic said to his bubbly AI bot, as X tapped into the air, and a cascade of alerts filled Mystic’s interface.

Mystic couldn’t help but grin as several players had hit their talent cap and could now evolve to the next Tier, which would not only let them gain experience faster

but also grant them better attribute points with every level-up they have, helping them compete against top opponents.

He chuckled; as the timing was just perfect, exactly the good news he needed before the starting of the street championship.

But when he saw that another component was required for the evolution, and the cost to install it was huge he felt a fleeting urge rising in him telling him that he should have cling to Don ID’s coattails.

The thought vanished immediately as he pressed the [Y] option, accepting the cost; though it stung him to part with that much money, but he wanted his defence to improve fast enough, and with the chance in front of him now he wasn’t letting it slip.

He, and almost every player in the team were well aware that the defence was their weakness, and if Bariga YB had malicious intent against him, this vital information could be leaked to other participants of the street championship making his defence more targeted; so before that weakness was exploited, he planned to shore it up to a manageable level.

Mystic watched another big dent hit his balance; after checking his status tab again, though he did notice another change, the fan base level.

It was still F rank, but now a F+, a small sign showing they’d actually gained a few fans along the way, as he mulled it over, he heard a car pull up outside; as the system’s bot workers came straight in carry lots of machineries, greeted him, and headed straight for the underground training facilities.

Mystic went with them to see where the new pod that was carried in would be installed, and he was surprised when they entered the Stimulation Pod Room.

All this while he’d wondered why half the room was left empty and spacious, when gear crammed on one side which could have been moved there, but today he finally understood why the system had kept it clear.

Probably because Mystic hadn’t reached the stage to use it yet; because at this moment, the bot workers moved to the far side and began hauling in the new machinery and holographic screen monitors for the new talent pod that would be placed in that part of the room.

They positioned the new pod, which looked completely different from the VR pods on the other side of the room; when they were done, a single pod stood upright, with red hues tracing its edges while the interior rested in a dark mode.

After an hour, they finished installing everything the Talent Pod needed; as the human-faced bot workers filed out of the underground training facility, and Mystic joined them in the elevator, murmuring to himself, unable to contain his excitement, he could hardly wait for the evolutions to begin.
