Famous Among Top Surgeons in the 90s-Chapter 214 - : Should I confess my feelings after she graduates?
Chapter 214: Should I confess my feelings after she graduates?
Ren Chongda was both pleased and proud on one hand, fearing that a female medical prodigy might emerge from his class, which would leave his name etched in history as her instructor.
On the other hand, how to cultivate this promising seedling was a real challenge now that they were facing real-world obstacles. She could be allowed to study alone, but group study had its own advantages. The greatest benefit was knowing both oneself and the opponent.
Compared to the teachers and seniors, it was not as effective as comparing with peers, as without pressure there is no motivation. The more hellish the training, the better it tempers a person, just like in the military. When teachers at Top-tier Medical College see a talented student, they should rigorously train and toughen them up; otherwise, if treated like a delicate flower in a greenhouse, it is a loss to the teacher, the medical school, and the students themselves.
As an outstanding young teacher at the college, Ren Chongda was very clear about this. He stopped treating the girls in his class like little princesses long ago. In fact, his demands on Xie Wanying were even stricter than on the other boys in the class.
The biggest problem now was that among his contemporaries, he could not find anyone suitable to team up with her. All the classmates were afraid of her.
Ren Chongda let out a long sigh and took out his phone to call two old classmates working in clinical settings, inviting them to dinner to chat that evening and hear any insights the clinical instructors might have to help him brainstorm solutions.
That night, the three of them ate noodles in the employee welfare room assigned to Cao Yong at the hospital.
“Why don’t we go out to eat?” Zhu Huicang asked the other two while eating.
Going out meant no dishes to wash.
“Isn’t this different? We ordered takeout, so you don’t have to wash anything,” Cao Yong told him.
“Did you want to eat at home?” Zhu Huicang seemed to have realized something, pushed up his glasses, and looked at him, “Are you afraid of being overheard if we talk while eating out?”

Cao Yong’s silence meant yes.
Zhu Huicang laughed and said to Ren Chongda, “Do you know, Huang Zhilei seemed to become a third wheel these past few days.”
“He told you that?” Cao Yong put down his chopsticks and asked.
“No, it’s just what we think,” Zhu Huicang immediately clarified and backtracked, as Huang Zhilei was definitely not one to gossip.
“Do you plan to confess your feelings after she graduates?” Ren Chongda, as the counselor, inquired about the object of unspoken affection among his students.
Students dating in college is different now; schools wouldn’t outright forbid it. As for dating a clinical senior, it’s quite common and nobody would say anything. The only issue is, she seemed to not be focused on dating.
“She’s a student now, unlike you, who has a stable job and career,” Ren Chongda understood his student, saying, “In a few years, when she’s striving to graduate, she’ll have even less time to think about anything else.”
“Waiting until she graduates to say something is okay,” Zhu Huicang said, “I did the same, waiting for my wife to graduate before I spoke up.”
“I know,” Cao Yong said. He would certainly be willing to wait for her.
The other two, however, could sense a certain anxiety in his heart. Ren Chongda thought about it and seemed to understand his old classmate’s feelings a little better.
“Are many people pursuing her?” As someone who had been there before, Zhu Huicang also understood something and asked, “I’ve never heard about anyone pursuing her.”
“That’s because those forty-nine guys in our class think, if she ended up with someone inferior to them, it would be an insult to all forty-nine of them,” Ren Chongda shed light on the reason why Xie Wanying seemed to have no suitors until now. The thoughts of the boys in the class could not escape the watchful eye of their counselor.
“Haha, that’s interesting,” Zhu Huicang laughed, “Your call mentioned they were afraid of her; what’s that about? Did they also try to pursue her?”
