Chapter 63: 060. System Users Are Evil!

In just 2 hours, things turned into chaos. Many people suddenly got the system.

At first they didn’t really understand what was happening, but in less than 30 minutes, they began to realize that what Gilgamesh said was not just a dream or fantasy, but a real deal.

What would people who were given the ability to change the world do? A massive revolution, of course...

And so the chaos begins, though there are some people who are still unsure of the actions they should take. One of them was a man named Reizel.

He closed the door of his house and peered outside through the window.

There were some people who suddenly turned into semi-animal humanoid monsters and there were even some who controlled elements that Reizel couldn’t understand.

He couldn’t understand how people could turn into barbarians just because of a power, and most importantly, where were the police or military who were supposed to secure the situation?

While he was still thinking and monitoring the situation, Lana suddenly came while slightly pulling Reizel’s pants to get the man’s attention.

Reizel immediately turned around and looked at Lana who was still wearing her school uniform. "What’s wrong, Lana?"

"Why are they evil? They say they are the chosen heroes," Lana said with watery eyes.

Reizel immediately knelt down on one knee so that he could be on par with his little sister. "It’s okay, nothing bad will happen to you. Just wait here, I’ll go get dad."

Lana nodded quickly and released her grip on Reizel’s pants.

The man smiled slightly then quickly left the house and started his motorcycle. freewebnσvel.cѳm

He rode quickly to the farm where his father worked and saw many destroyed shops and people looting here and there.

After a while, he came across a convenience store that was being looted and he couldn’t stand it anymore.

He was a system user, but he still didn’t want to use his abilities.

What Gilgamesh said was that the people with systems were the chosen ones, but why were they behaving more like animals?

As a system user, although he still didn’t want to admit it, he felt a burden of responsibility to straighten out the people who were like him, even though he didn’t have a strong system.

After an upheaval in his mind, Reizel decided to get off his motorcycle and ventured to stand in front of the convenience store that was being looted.

"WOI! System user! Whoever you are who started this looting, fight me!" Reizel shouted which managed to make everyone fall silent.

The people stared at each other in a state of confusion before finally a man came approaching Reizel somewhat frightened.

"Are you a the same as them? The super power people?" asked the trembling man.

Reizel stared at the man for a few moments before thinking of a suitable response. "N... No... But I won’t forgive the system user who started this mess!"

The man immediately let out a sigh of relief. "Good, you made me pale earlier. Take it easy, there are no system users inside the convenience store, even the ones who started the looting are just ordinary people."

Reizel’s eyes immediately opened wide in shock. "Wh... What... What do you mean?"

The man walked over to Reizel. "Don’t worry, you’re free to take any items you want. The system users you’re referring to are busy fighting police and people are panicking. Don’t worry, the system users will be the ones to blame in the end."

The man handed Reizel a bottle of soy sauce. "Consider it as your lucky day. All the chaos that happens will be blamed on all of them, just take advantage of the situation."

The man left Reizel and continued his activities, looting the shops that had been abandoned by their frightened owners.

Reizel looked at the dot sauce bottle he was holding and felt dizzy with many questions swirling inside his head.

What exactly happened?

The system users are messing up, right?

Why? What is this? They’re just ordinary citizens, but...

Reizel looked at the convenience store that was destroyed and ravaged by looter.

’What exactly happened to the people?’ Reizel thought before realizing that he still had another task, which was to pick up his father who was in the plantation.

The man quickly started his motorcycle and refocused on his goal.

When he arrived at the coffee plantation, he found his father picking coffee cherries and putting them into a basket.

"Reizel? What’s wrong? Why did you come now? Isn’t it too soon?" asked Herman who was initially confused but immediately understood the intensity of the problem that Reizel was about to explain when he saw his son standing in a cold sweat with breathing heavily.

Reizel immediately approached his father and explained the incident briefly without saying that he was actually a system user too.

After a few shortened explanations, the two men immediately left for home.

On the way home, Herman saw the chaos his son was referring to, and they even got to see a system user who turned into a humanoid animal fighting against the police.

Making his way through the chaos, Reizel was shocked to see that the door to his house was broken and the windows were also broken, as if the house had just been looted.

Panicking, Reizel immediately ran into the house while calling her sister’s name.

The lack of a response made Reizel pale. He ran into Lana’s room and didn’t find Lana.

His heart felt like it was going to burst and he felt regretful and angry about his decision to leave Lana alone.

He didn’t know what to do and he could only sit on his sister’s bed while contemplating sadly with his face downcast looking at the floor.

While Reizel was depressed, the door to Lana’s wardrobe slowly opened, revealing Lana peeking out with a scared look on her face.

When Reizel saw that, the despair in him suddenly disappeared. He went straight to Lana and hugged his little sister.

Lana hugged her brother with relief before crying loudly which of course startled Reizel.

"What’s wrong, Lana? Are you hurt?" asked Reizel while checking Lana’s body to make sure she was okay.

The crying Lana showed Reizel her cell phone screen. An online video showing an alchemist-type system user killing multiple police officers in a matter of seconds and sending everyone into a panic.

Lana shouted while crying. "I’m scared of them! They’re not chosen heroes, they’re evil!"

Lana hugged her brother tightly again while continuing to cry.

On the other hand, Reizel stroked Lana’s head while thinking about the fact that he was also a system user.

Unfortunately, the emotional moment had to end when Herman walked into the room with a frightened face.

"What’s wrong, dad?" asked Reizel, who was still trying to calm Lana down.

Herman swallowed his saliva. "If this is happening all over the world, it means there’s nowhere to run."

"So, what now?" asked a worried Reizel.

"We have to hide."

"But where?"

"We’ll hide in the outskirts until the situation settles down. I don’t know when the chaos will end, but we can’t be in the center of the city while the army is deployed against the system users," replied Herman who was looking at Reizel very seriously.

Reizel was silent for a moment then looked at Lana who was still holding him and realized how dangerous the current situation was for Lana.

Reizel made up his mind and looked at his father seriously. He did not answer anything, no sentences or words came out of his mouth, only a slow nod that agreed with his father’s suggestion.
