Fallen To The Ruthless Obssessive CEO-Chapter 466 - 404:
It couldn’t get any quieter.
Yet inside the study, lights were blazing, and he stood at the door, watching her at the computer, working.
Focused and intent, Bao Ye couldn’t help but see a bit of his own shadow in her.
His dark eyes swept over her calmly, and instead of disturbing her, he went downstairs quietly to make two cups of coffee.
The housemaid wanted to help, but he declined.
Half an hour later, Bao Ye carried a tray upstairs with the two lattes he had made.
The latte art was in the shape of fireworks, very beautiful.
His skill was clearly on par with that of professional baristas in coffee shops.
As soon as he pushed the door open, Jiang Ruan heard the noise, looked up, and saw it was him. She said, "You’re back."
Bao Ye nodded and walked over to put the coffee in front of her. "Have something to drink."
Jiang Ruan glanced at it and asked him, "Did you make this?"
Bao Ye smiled, "How did you guess?"
"The housemaids don’t make this kind of pattern." Jiang Ruan responded cleverly.
Bao Ye’s gaze briefly crossed the computer screen, which was filled with dense words: "Looking at documents?"
Jiang Ruan replied, "Yes."
She raised her hand to massage her tired neck, already feeling a bit exhausted: "After all, everyone in the company calls me President Jiang. I can’t always be a fool who doesn’t even understand the documents, not comprehending what they discuss in the meetings."
Bao Ye comforted her, "Take it slow, you’re still a rookie."
"You’ll get better with more experience."
As he spoke, he walked behind her and placed his warm hands on her neck, "Let me give you a massage."
"Oh, how attentive you are today."
Jiang Ruan withdrew her hand and teased him, "Go on, tell me, what do you need from me?"
"If there’s no task at hand, you’re being overly attentive, which must mean trouble."
As those words fell, his hands suddenly exerted a bit more pressure, right on her acupoint.
The sensation, both painful and ticklish, spread through her limbs, and Jiang Ruan couldn’t help but yelp, "Ah."
"Does it hurt?" Bao Ye asked softly.
Jiang Ruan complained, "It hurts."
Bao Ye laughed, "Then keep quiet."
"Just giving you a shoulder rub, and you say I’m being overly attentive?"
"Are you asking for trouble, hmm?"
Jiang Ruan was intentionally teasing him.
Now she went silent, quietly enjoying the massage he was giving her.
Truth be told, after a while, her spine really did feel much better.
Jiang Ruan clicked her tongue, "How come I never knew you could give shoulder massages?"
"Mr. Bao, you’re so thoughtful."
She said in a coquettish voice, making Bao Ye’s throat tighten, his fingertips gliding across the skin of her neck.
He replied calmly, "Because most of the time we met was in bed."
"You don’t need to know I can massage shoulders, just that I can make you comfortable."
Jiang Ruan: "..."
Talking so seriously about something naughty.
If Jiang Ruan wasn’t so familiar with Bao Ye, just by his looks and behavior, she’d really think he was a scoundrel, but that wasn’t the reality.
While Bao Ye was massaging her, Jiang Ruan picked up the coffee, took a sip, and praised, "It’s good."
"Did you add sugar?"
Bao Ye said, "A little, to calm the mind."
"It’s not suitable to drink something too bitter at night."
Jiang Ruan: "Oh."
After a while more, when she didn’t feel uncomfortable anymore, Jiang Ruan had him stop.
However, he didn’t seem to have any intention of leaving.
But there was only one office chair at the desk.
He was standing, so tall that Jiang Ruan had to look up at him, "Did you finish your work?"
Bao Ye: "Yeah."
"Then why don’t you go shower first? Wait for me in the bedroom, I haven’t finished my work yet? Or there’s the sofa over there..."
Before she finished, the man in front of her suddenly leaned down, wrapped her legs in his arms, and lifted her up.
Jiang Ruan let him carry her, placing her on his lap, and Bao Ye said, "Let me accompany you while you look at the documents."
"Aren’t there things you don’t understand? Brother will teach you for free."
He rarely referred to himself this way.
There was a slightly lazy and casual feel to it.
His lap was more comfortable than the office chair. Jiang Ruan circled her arms around his neck, feeling very excited, "Okay."
Then Jiang Ruan found that Bao Ye was versatile.
No matter what she didn’t understand, he could explain it very clearly.
And he explained it so well that she understood it right away.
Jiang Ruan felt like she learned a lot again.
The two of them finished reviewing all the documents the company had sent her that day. In some places, Jiang Ruan even added text annotations.
In the end, Jiang Ruan was so sleepy that her eyelids were almost too heavy to open, softly leaning against Bao Ye’s embrace, her chin resting on his shoulder, like a fish on the brink of exhaustion.
She complained, "Finally finished."
"This is truly impossible work for people."
"It seems being a capitalist isn’t that easy either."
