"I’m her fiancé. Mr. Xu, please mind your manners. You’re the CEO of Xu Corporations. Don’t you feel this is improper? Furthermore, you have divorced her and taken her money. Shouldn’t you pay back that money?" Shentu Jing strongly said. He squeezed Xu Meng’s wrist before he let go.

Xu Meng quickly pulled his wrist back and rubbed it. That amount of money felt like humiliating slaps to his face! He hated it when they brought it up. It made him seem weak and dependent on a woman. The Xu family had lost a lot of money because many of their business partners pulled out after hearing how much the Xu family owed the divorced ex wife.

It seems like the Xu family can’t manage money properly! How are they fit to cooperate with other big companies? Hence, Xu Meng was worried about that matter. Where was he going to find another source of income?! And how was he going to get such money? It would be better if he didn’t return at all. She probably can treat it as her dowry when she married into the family.

Bai Qianhua was furious with the way Qin Zhuzhu addressed her but she put on her same meek demeanor. She pulled the furious Xu Meng away. Xu Meng wanted to fight with that bastard but he was scared of losing face.

Once they were gone, Qin Zhuzhu sat dejectedly in her seat.

Shentu Jing took out a ring and slipped it onto her finger. Qin Zhuzhu looked askance at him.

"What are you doing?"

"To play the part of my fake fiancée, you need to have a ring that will make everyone believe that we are engaged. Look at you, neither wearing jewelleries nor makeup. Nothing fancy. How are you going to convince others that you are mine?" Shentu Jing smiled, and it almost took her breath away. The man was gorgeous but she can’t find it in herself to love someone again.

"I don’t have to cater to anyone’s needs," she said. She flinched a little when he said that she was his.

It seemed like she was putting distance between them. Shentu Jing wasn’t too happy with it.

When they returned, Qin Zhuzhu went to her room and took a bath. Shentu Jing called Han Juexian and Ding Yu over.

"That Xu Meng...." Shentu Jing drummed his fingers against the table, his gaze implied that he wanted to kill someone right now.

Han Juexian said: "Boss, do you want us to do something terrible to that Xu Meng?"

Ding Yu put some cotton candy into his mouth.

"Isn’t that Miss Qin’s husband?" Ding Yu said innocently.

Shentu Jing’s gaze darkened and it looked like there was a black cloud hanging over the entire room.

Han Juexian quickly stuffed a lot of cotton candy into Ding Yu’s mouth to prevent him from talking.

"Ex-husband. Wait, he’s not even qualified to be the boss’ wife’s ex husband," Han Juexian quickly added to calm the situation.

Ding Yu pushed Han Juexian away. "You’re bullying me again!"

"Oh shut up! Don’t mention ex-husband again or husband. Miss Qin’s future husband can only be boss," Han Juexian said and Ding Yu nodded, understanding why the boss was moody.

"No, I don’t want to kill him. I want to make him suffer," Shentu Jing said. He was pleased when he heard them address Little Pearl as the boss’ wife.

Han Juexian found the look on his boss’ face wicked and murderous. Someone was going to suffer badly!

The next morning, Qin Zhuzhu woke up. She took a bath and brushed her teeth. When she got downstairs to find whatever thing as her breakfast, she was surprised!

The table in the dining room was arranged with food! Delicious golden toasts and aromatic tea filled her senses. She unconsciously licked her lips and her stomach rumbled.

"Let’s eat," Shentu Jing set the table for her.

"Okay!" Qin Zhuzhu was pleased to see the warm foods. She had been having cold and leftover foods for a while. It felt nice to have something warm.

They ate quietly with Qin Zhuzhu texting her mother. She sent some money to her mother, reminding her not to work so hard. She was afraid that her mother would suffer injustice and get bullied by her co-workers. Song Ping kept insisting on her to save the money for herself. She sent the money back to Qin Zhuzhu’s account. Qin Zhuzhu sent the money back to her mother’s account. It was a never ending fight as they both wanted the other party to have the money.

"In a few days, there will be an exhibition. I need you to appear as my fiancée," Shentu Jing said, interrupting her.

"Okay. Send me the details," Qin Zhuzhu said.

"I’ll bring your mom to live with us, okay?" Shentu Jing’s tone was tender. It made it seem like they were a real couple.

She looked up at him with surprised eyes. Why was he acting gentle and tender all of sudden? Was it some kind of scheme?

However, she didn’t want her mother to suffer so she agreed.

"Thanks," she thanked him. He gazed at her intently as if searching her soul. Her heart started beating loudly. She didn’t know why.

"But won’t your family disagree?" She asked.

"Don’t worry, it’s all to play the part of my fiancée," Shentu Jing answered casually and she understood.

Hmm... Let me get close to her mother. That way I’ll be able to figure out about that thing.

Just as Qin Zhuzhu was about to eat the toast, someone came and bit the toast away from her fingers!
