Extra's Strategy: Cultivate Protagonists, Become Invincible-Chapter 220: Does The Heavenly Dao Do Custom Designs?
"Okay, this shit is getting out of hand. That doesn't match the information I was given at all," Han Xuhan said, mildly annoyed, somewhat intrigued, and a teensy bit resigned.
The complexity of his sentiments was not uncalled for. If a random cultivator were to observe the new changes in his foundation tower, hear the backstory that led up to the current appearance, and consider what was to follow in the future, they would probably lose a few nights' sleep.
The roof of his foundation tower was gone, replaced by a stark white globe-like design that he was all too familiar with. This globe was a mirror image of his 'spawn point' in the artificial macrocosm of laws.
It was now a part of his spiritual foundation as a cultivator, a dome on top of his foundation tower whereas most people would have a plain roof!
Moreover, the numerous letters of laws that used to creep across the walls of the tower had now moved upwards, inside it, happily racing around on its rounded surface.
From time to time, a few of the more complex looking letters would slide down to aggressively crash into the foundation area of the minions.
It seemed like now that he had established his status as a law cultivator, his foundation in the path of laws had stopped being passive. It wanted to tear its way into Zhanxian and Tun Shi Tian's foundations, either to assert dominance, or to throw them out of Han Xuhan's spiritual world as revenge.
However, Han Xuhan wasn't particularly concerned. Whatever might come out of this had to be borderline unique in the world of cultivation, at least on this planet.
It would be a great learning experience, leading him towards mastering some really esoteric skills related to foundation modifications, if nothing else. He could write a thesis on it!
Right now, there was a more pressing question occupying his mind.
If he ever reached the Soul Reformation realm, building a second floor on top of the current tower would be the most basic part of cultivation at that stage. Han Xuhan felt his blood pressure rising whenever he tried to imagine that scene.
"How the fuck am I going to build the second floor on top of THAT? Who builts a second floor when the first floor has a fucking dome on top of it?"
Turning towards the empty, gray sky above the tower, Han Xuhan began to yell, "Yo, Heavenly Dao, Order, whatever you like to be called, have you got any building designs like that? If not, you better make up one.
Me and my boys, we like to go for custom designs, sorry! Maybe if you hadn't cursed me with that shitty special physique, this situation would have never happened!"
The minions exchanged a quick look with each other, and clearly felt the need to reign their boss in before he pissed off somebody or something they couldn't afford to piss off.
"Master, don't worry so much. You can still build your way up! Its's just that the second floor will have a curvy bottom!"
"What the fuck did you just say to me, Zhanxian?" Han Xuhan truly couldn't believe the words that had just come out of his minion's tongueless mouth.
"He's right, master. Nobody said you need to have a flat floor. It isn't as if we're gonna live there. And even if we did, what's the problem?" Tun Shi Tian said from his new trailer-sized room rather unhelpfully.
Focusing his thoughts slightly, Han Xuhan made his consciousness float up toward the dome to inspect it properly.
Other than the hundreds of law letters moving around on its surface in a frenzy, there was one stationary element on it, a familiar-looking circular formation, resembling a seal of some kind.
"Is this the seal that was forcible imprinted on everyone inside the Holy Land of Laws? The seal that Qian Yun relied on to summon me into the artificial macrocosm?
Qian Yun clearly explained to me that legitimate law cultivators view their spawn point in the artificial realm of laws as their spiritual foundation.
But since I was a cultivator already, having established a solid foundation long before this seal was imprinted on me, I had my own interpretation of what a spiritual foundation should look like, mostly based on Elder Kong Ye's lectures.
So that's how this abomination has come into existence!"
"I disagree, master. I'm pretty sure that deep down, you really wanted stuff like this to happen," Zhanxian said from below.
"Whenever you're involved in something, it always seems to screw up any semblance of logic it should follow. Once or twice might be coincidences, but you've left those rookie numbers in the dust long ago."
"...There does seem to be some logic in your words, Zhanxian," Han Xuhan said after a few seconds of disgruntled retrospection.
Breaking out of his meditation, he finally opened his eyes and evaluated his current situation for a while.
In one day, he had leapfrogged across several milestones. Even if there was no qualitative improvement of his personal strength, the quantitative growth had to mean something.
His next goal was to focus on raising his martial cultivation, as the rattlesnake skeleton project was nowhere near completion.
Unable to find suitable skeleton models, he had commissioned some small-scale missions to the task administration pavilion for detailed skeleton structures of all kinds of deadly beasts, with a bonus added if they could get him an original skeleton as well for reference.
The world of cultivation had all sorts of magical creatures. Surely, he could get his hands on some minions who'd actually be of some use in battles?
When he had been a beginner, penniless cultivator, getting his hands on those powerful beasts would have been almost impossible. But it was a different story now.
Glancing at the scrolls piled up on his desk, he began searching for the martial arts manuals Xuanyuan Zhou had given to him to experiment with.
He had already tried out every move recorded in the Lightfoot Swallow manual. For now, it seemed that there were no more moves he could master from it due to his OTHER shitty physique.
As for the manuals from Xuanyuan Zhou, he had only studied them briefly, too busy learning how to counter Sister Mei's martial arts till yesterday.
"Okay, what's this called...The Vibrating Block?"
The moment Han Xuhan copied the defensive move as illustrated in the manual, two things happened at once.
He felt the familiar sensation of vital energy being born within four acopoints of his arms.
And a semi-transparent panel flickered over his vision.
