Extra's Path: The Eternal Frost Monarch-Chapter 22: Causing Trouble On First Day (2)
’They are not going to let this chance go away.’
Noah thought while looking at the trio. He knew them; they were like his underlings... only during family gatherings.
Edward was from the Count Beaufort family, while the other two were from viscount families. During family gatherings, they always acted like his underlings, while Noah acted arrogant and like someone who was above them.
’Damn, I have treated them a little badly in the past.’
Though he wasn’t used to meeting them much, every time he met them, he acted like their master. No wonder they were going to get back at him since he was now an exiled son.
Also, in the academy, where background rarely matters.
Of course, being from a ducal family does have some power that he could have used, but well... he was exiled.
"So what just happened? You bowed to your ex-fiancée and even got insulted by her... in front of so many! Well, you kind of deserved it! Hahah!"
"Haha," Glasses-kun also joined his laughter.
"I can’t help but enjoy that scene, the arrogant Noah bowing and getting insulted! Haha!" The fat boy laughed while mocking him.
’Oh, is this... my face-slapping moment? ...But I don’t want to cause more trouble for today.’ Noah didn’t react... or at least he tried. A vein had already bulged on his forehead.
Firstly, he got insulted by Ophelia. He didn’t mind much since he had done something wrong. Even if he was not the real one, he was still in that body.
But now this trio was mocking him openly. How could he remain silent?
"Haha, what? Are you angry?" Edward leaned forward with a mocking expression as he continued.
"He must want to cry!" Glasses-kun said.
"Maybe he wants to run to his mama and complain to her."
"Wait, but his mama kicked him out of the house and the family."
The trio went silent and then laughed loudly. They were talking in a loud voice, so a few students who still remained nearby could hear them.
’Hah... I guess that’s enough.’ Noah didn’t say anything. At this moment, he needed to control himself.
He took out his mobile and opened the app that belonged to the academy. Noah immediately opened the academy website and went through the guidelines to see what action he could take against these third-rate bullies.
"Hm? What are you doing? Calling someone?" Edward stopped laughing and saw Noah. He leaned closer to see what he was searching for, then looked at his face. "Give up. No one will help a pathetic man like you. A loser should just know their place and stay silent."
Noah’s fingers tightened around his mobile as he scrolled through the guidelines.
’Calm down, Noah! Calm down.’
"Hahaha! Oh, he must be scared of us." Testu mock him further.
"Hope he won’t pee in his pants right here." Richard also had no wish to step back.
Just then Noah’s eyes fell on one line.
’Oh... this is good.’
Noah put his mobile in his storage ring and looked up at the trio with a kind, gentle smile.
Which actually made the trio confused.
"Did you hit your brain? Why are you smiling?" Tetsu asked with a knowing smile.
"Should we knock some sense into him?" Richard said while punching his palm with the fist of his other hand.
Edward glanced sideways. "Not a bad idea. But beating a loser does feel lowly." An evil smile formed on his face.
He turned back to see Noah, but what came into his view was a fist. Yes, a real fist. Before he could react, it hit his cheek.
It was a powerful punch that Noah threw at Edward. He wanted to punch his nose, but it might have been too much, so he chose his cheek.
The punch was powerful enough to send Edward to the ground. He fell and sat on his rear.
"Arrghh!" A painful groan left him.
Thud! 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"What the hell?!"
"Hey!"
Both Richard and Tetsu were shocked and screamed.
Noah didn’t wait for them to react. His right foot moved in front of Richard. Then his left fist shot forward with sudden speed.
Richard’s eyes widened. "Wai—?!"
Before he could finish speaking.
BOOM!
The punch slammed directly into his round belly.
"Gahh!"
Richard doubled over instantly, clutching his stomach as the air was knocked out of his lungs.
Tetsu stared at the scene in disbelief. "You—!"
But Noah had already moved again.
Students around them gasped and quickly stepped away, creating space in the hallway. No one wanted to get caught in the fight.
Edward groaned as he pushed himself up from the ground. His eyes burned with anger.
"You bastard!"
Richard also recovered slightly, breathing heavily.
Tetsu’s expression turned serious.
The three of them quickly surrounded Noah. Edward wiped the corner of his mouth.
"You think you can attack us and walk away?"
Richard cracked his knuckles again. "We’ll beat the crap out of you!"
The three of them rushed forward. Edward threw the first punch.
Noah tilted his head slightly and dodged it.
Richard tried to grab Noah from the side. Noah pushed him away with his shoulder.
Tetsu lunged forward with a fast strike.
Noah was fighting them alone. He ducked down and avoided Tetsu’s punch.
But then another fist came at him from the other side. It was from Richard. Noah took the hit on his hand by covering his face.
But Edward was successful in hitting his cheek from the front.
Bam!
"Take this, bastard!"
Noah’s head was thrown back. He could taste his blood. But that wouldn’t stop him.
He moved again. His right foot moved forward as he kicked Richard’s knee.
"Arggh!"
Just then a punch from Tetsu hit against his lower ribs.
"Fuck!"
Soon the fight turned chaotic. Fists clashed against each other. Bodies collided.
The trio began using mana. A faint glow appeared around their bodies as they reinforced their strength.
Edward’s fist came flying toward Noah again.
Noah quickly raised his hands.
Cold mana surged through his arms.
Crack.
Ice formed instantly around both his fists. A pair of icy gauntlets wrapped around his fists.
The transparent ice hardened, covering his knuckles like armor.
Noah clenched his fists. The icy gauntlets gleamed faintly.
"Come on," Noah declaired with a wide smile. He was actually enjoying beating them.
The fight in the corridor continued as students hurriedly backed away from the scene.
