Extra's Hatred System-Chapter 37: Surprise Visit

I began to run away from the outskirts at full speed, I mean this guy would probably try to catch me with everything he has if I stood still, pride is a big thing for a criminal after all.

Plus I would probably get blacklisted from this specific black market but honestly I don't care, the Alden black market may be a big and prominent one, but it's not the biggest, far from that actually.

There is the "Toxic Flower" market which is the biggest one on the internet and only accepts people they trust, but also the one of another country where it is way better to buy/sell as scamming there is almost like asking for death.

I ran for a while and even though I heard a sudden commotion behind me, indicating that they figured out that I tricked them, I eventually lost them after leaving to the center of the city.

"Hahahaha, this was great!" I exclaimed while looking at the sky.

I had earned 3500$, and I could earn even more if I wanted to, but I decided to stop here.

"Now, where should I go next?" I sat on the bench of a park, exhausted from all that running.

I looked at my phone and checked the time, it was already noon, which meant I had been here for hours already, I should probably book a hotel, I could start traveling to Ebony tomorrow, which is where the Silvermoon household is.

I walked around the city for a while before finding a hotel, I booked a room and got ready to sleep early as tomorrow would be a big day. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝙢

But beforehand I placed my backpack on a chair and organized all the items I currently had to make sure I would be ready if anything happened.

And then I went to sleep.

I slept soundly for the first half of the night, that is until I saw something appear inside of my dreams though.

[WAKE UP, NOW!]

This red text along with an ear-shattering sound suddenly appeared in my dream.

Thus waking me up.

But as I opened my eyes, annoyed and trying to understand what had just happened, I heard something else...

Rustle... Rustle...

I looked at the door of my room, and saw that something or someone was trying to open it to break in.

I instantly understood what was happening and rushed towards a blind spot I had found behind the curtains to hide.

Less then a second after I hid, the door was smashed open and I could see three silhouettes in the hallway:

-Two of these people were tall men with an imposing physique and looked like gangsters.

And the other was...

The guy I scammed at the black market, I recognised him by his shining gold monocle.

"Where is he?" the man asked while looking around the room.

"I don't know sir, maybe he isn't here?" one of the two lackeys answered.

"No, he must be here, search everywhere!" he ordered.

The three of them started searching the entire room, and I was waiting for the right moment to strike, I was lucky this was the middle of the night which means I could see them but they couldn't

After a few minutes, they finished their search and the leader looked disappointed.

"Damn it, where did he go?" the scammed man said angrily.

"Maybe he escaped through the window sir?" one of the buff men answered

"Of course he didn't you shithead, look!" he pointed at the backpack on the chair, "I checked and there is the money inside, he obviously wouldn't leave it"

"Then why don't you just take it?" the other guy proposed.

"You fucking idiot, I don't care about the money, I want this fucker dead and I wanna be the one to end him"

They weren't paying attention to me anymore as they were arguing, which means it's the perfect time...

[Skill: Trial and Error, activated]

My fists enveloped in the hatred aura, but...

"SIR, BEHIND THE CURTAIN, THERE IS SOMETHING!" the red aura was visible, which means my surprise attack plan had failed, but honestly it doesn't matter.

"YOU FUCKER!" the man shouted and charged at me after I pulled out the curtains and appeared infront of them, but I dodged his punch and kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying into the wall.

"Sir!" the two buff men tried to help him but I was faster.

I jumped on one of them and punched him in the face, then I used him as a springboard to jump on the other one and kick him in the head, knocking him out.

"You little shit..." the man got up and glared at me, "you're gonna regret this."

He pulled something purple from his pocket, it seemed like it was unstable as it kept... glitching?

It looked like a gun and he was holding it towards me, ready to pull the trigger.

I instinctively knew that thing was dangerous, if I get hit i'm probably dead.

"Goodbye" he pressed the trigger, and instantly a giant violet beam came out at the end.

But I was fast enough to dodge it, and it ended up hitting the wall behind me, destroying it.

"What the fuck?" I thought, but I should of expected this from someone who hangs in the black markets.

"Shit, I missed" he cursed.

"You missed your chance" I said and charged at him, he tried to shoot again but I was too close to him, I grabbed his arm and twisted it, making him drop the weapon.

"ARGHHH!" he screamed in pain.

I then proceeded to kick him in the stomach, and when he bent over from the impact, I punched him in the face, rendering him unconscious.

"Phew..." I sighed, "that was close."

I looked at the three bodies on the ground and wondered what to do with them, I could call the police but I didn't want to deal with them, plus I would need to explain how I managed to beat three grown men without any weapons and why they wanted to take revenge on me.

So I decided to kill them.

And yes, i'm not joking.

I picked up the gun and aimed it at the leader's head, I pulled the trigger and the same purple beam came out, killing him instantly.

"Wow... this is strong..." I mumbled.

I then proceeded to do the same to the other two, and the room was filled with silence once again.

"Well, that was fun" I said while stretching, "but I should probably go now, I don't want to stay here any longer."

I grabbed my backpack and exited the room after putting the unstable gun inside of it.

I saw that there was a huge hole in the wall from the impact of the beam, so I decided to use it to leave the hotel by jumping from the top to the bottom.

Fortunately I wasn't injured after reaching the ground.

"No sleep for me I guess..." I sighed as I walked to the nearest train station.
