Extraordinary Realm from Persuasion System-Chapter 463 - 184: Postnatal Five Qi, A Realm Above Great Grandmaster!_3
Second, the vital essence at the time of conception from one’s parents is known as ’Prenatal Essence Qi.’
Third is the ’Essence Qi of Grain and Water,’ generated from food to sustain human life. It is also called ’Postnatal Essence Qi.’
The mysteries of the first two were elusive and beyond control, even for someone like Zhang Beixing. He could not yet put the core ideas of the Heaven and Earth Natural Technique into practice. Therefore, one must start with ’Postnatal Essence Qi.’
People researched it. During the Han Dynasty, someone proposed the concept that "Earth dominates the seasons, patterns interweave, green, red, white, and black each have their place, all governed by the central palace, the function of Wu and Ji." This concept was subsequently recorded in the *Zhou Yi Can Tong Qi*. This laid the foundation for the cultivation of ’Postnatal Essence Qi.’
Later generations, building on this foundation, further evolved the practice and developed the ’Five Qi Towards the Yuan.’ This ’Five Qi Towards the Yuan’ symbolizes the five major organs within the human body—heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys—and also corresponds to the Five Elements of the universe. And Zhang Beixing, as a Great Grandmaster, had unconsciously used the Qi that belonged to the kidney, the ’Water Qi of the Northern Black Emperor,’ while controlling his Qi and Blood!
"Could it be because of that?!" Zhang Beixing was shocked. He was just about to ponder deeply. But then, the leg acupoints stimulated by the ’Water Qi of the Northern Black Emperor’ weakened due to a lack of sustaining power, causing Zhang Beixing’s entire surrounding force field to dissipate.
PLOP!
There was another dull thud as Zhang Beixing sank into the lake. Moments later, he surfaced, swimming to the shore using both arms and legs, his face still wearing an undissipated expression of shock.
He had, unconsciously, drawn out the Qi hidden within his kidneys. Could this Qi be the key to his transcendence?
With this thought in mind, Zhang Beixing didn’t dawdle. He crossed his legs, sat down, and closed his eyes tightly, beginning to carefully ponder the changes in his kidneys. He discovered that within his kidneys, an incredibly faint current of Qi was hidden. Had he not been a Great Grandmaster, he would have never discovered it! This weak current of Qi was the key that allowed Zhang Beixing to stimulate his acupoints and stand underwater. It was also the reason why Zhang Beixing could only stand on the water for such a short time: it was incredibly weak. Zhang Beixing’s mere breath was stronger than it.
And furthermore... If I’m not mistaken, this thing wasn’t in my body a few days ago.
Looking at the current of Qi, Zhang Beixing was contemplative. This thing definitely hadn’t appeared out of nowhere. It must have been triggered by something.
So, using the methods of a Great Grandmaster, he controlled his Qi and Blood, flushing it through his kidneys. But he discovered that doing so was pointless. The current of Qi within his kidneys didn’t change at all from the flushing of his Qi and Blood. Zhang Beixing then switched to using Vital Energy. He controlled his Vital Energy, transferring it towards his kidneys.
It was also thanks to the past few months, during which Zhang Beixing frequently utilized the Three-in-One Resonance to forge his body. Aided by the System, Zhang Beixing’s internal organs were incredibly strong. This prevented him from making a mistake and shattering his kidneys while manipulating Vital Energy.
As soon as the Vital Energy entered his kidneys and came into contact with that current of Qi, Zhang Beixing’s Vital Energy dissipated like snowflakes meeting water. In a mere moment, a good portion of it was devoured by the current of Qi. Seeing this, Zhang Beixing was startled and was about to withdraw his Vital Energy to prevent further loss when he discovered that after devouring his Vital Energy, that extremely subtle current of Qi had grown stronger.
"Hmm?" Zhang Beixing let out a soft sound of surprise. Finding this change rather interesting, he didn’t rush to withdraw his Vital Energy. Instead, he poured all the Vital Energy he was currently controlling into it. After digesting all of Zhang Beixing’s Vital Energy, that current of Qi had now grown to the size of a thumb.
After being absorbed, the Vital Energy has actually transformed into ’Qi’? Could this be a higher level of expression beyond Vital Energy?
And most crucially, Zhang Beixing found he could control it!
With a thought, the current of Qi was drawn out by Zhang Beixing and flowed to an acupoint on his leg. Perhaps because Zhang Beixing was consciously controlling it, or perhaps because the current of Qi had grown stronger, he could distinctly feel a tingling sensation in the acupoints on his legs when it flowed into them, as if they were being pricked by needles. At the same time, this current of Qi spilled out from his acupoints, enveloping Zhang Beixing’s legs!
"This..." Upon noticing this change, Zhang Beixing quickly stood up and walked into the lake.
The expected fall into the water didn’t happen. On the contrary, as the lake water rose past his calves and was about to reach his knees, it stopped. There, at his knees, was the last acupoint that Zhang Beixing had stimulated, the Yinlingquan!
"Did it work?!" Zhang Beixing stood in the water without sinking. The water did not pass his knees. He stood upright in the middle of the lake, appearing from afar as if he were walking on it!
Seeing this scene, Zhang Beixing’s face revealed his joy. Feeling as steady as if he were on solid ground, Zhang Beixing took several steps on the water, the surface not rising past his knees. Although the water rippled, it could not shake him in the slightest.
This discovery made Zhang Beixing as happy as a child. He walked back to the shore and began to try nurturing ’currents of Qi’ in his other organs. At the same time, he channeled the currents of Qi in his body into other acupoints, stimulating them. He discovered that different acupoints, based on the different ’currents of Qi’ nurtured by various organs, had entirely different effects.
Take, for example, the Yinlingquan acupoint on his leg. When stimulated with the ’Water Qi of the Northern Black Emperor’ produced by the kidneys, it allowed Zhang Beixing to walk on water. If stimulated with the ’Earth Qi of the Central Yellow Emperor’ generated by the spleen, it would make Zhang Beixing’s stance as firm as a rock!
Seeing its wonderful use, Zhang Beixing thought of a term he had seen in a book from his previous life and gave it a name—Unbreakable Divine Sight!
In his view, the potential of these acupoints was immense, governing the operation of the human body with multifaceted changes. They were akin to gods managing everything under heaven, capable of generating endless transformations. If I could control them, it means I understand my body as well as I know the back of my hand. I can feel every minute acupoint’s sensitivity in my body clearly, knowing full well what their functions are and what role they play within the body.
This was akin to Buddhism, where those who cultivated to the highest realm reached the Western Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, with its ten trillion Buddha realms, and saw Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges. In the Buddhist Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, countless Buddhas and ’gods’ alike were masters of their own bodies. Zhang Beixing had seen his own ’gods’ and could control them as easily as moving his limbs—now, he was his own master! And that ’Qi,’ which controlled these ’gods,’ was another transformation beyond the Great Grandmaster’s Vital Energy...
Zhang Beixing thought for a moment and, based on the concept of the Five Qi returning to the Yuan, named it:
’Postnatal Five Qi’!
