Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 44: The Aura
"You have... just awakened your aura."
Kaiser opened his eyes wide.
"The Aura?"
"Pure physical energy that everyone can possess provided they train and push their body to its limits. It strengthens the body, making it more resistant and faster. It can be used to coat objects to make them sharper, for example. As long as the body isn’t broken, a warrior can use aura, but it depends on their physical endurance," Kethra explained.
"Yeah, yeah, I know what it means; I’m just surprised."
"You’ve just reached the level of an F+ warrior. It’s weak, but it’s already an important milestone. Especially for someone who only started seriously recently. The high-quality strengthening potions made the difference."
Kaiser didn’t know what to say at first.
He slightly raised his hand. A shiver ran through his arm, and something began to vibrate under his skin. A very faint glow, almost invisible, formed around his fingers.
A slight smile spread across his face; since his reincarnation, he had finally experienced one of the supernatural powers.
’This is a first step, but as long as I work harder and harder with the elixir of life... Well, well...’
"Is this... it?"
"Yes, the aura."
Kethra continued.
"Aura develops when the body surpasses a limit that seemed impossible. And during this fight, your body crossed one. Your physical capacity has climbed high enough to generate physical energy."
She stepped back slightly and crossed her arms.
"I thought it would take you another month. But it seems you’re not as mediocre as you appear."
"You just said it was the high-quality potions."
"True, but they don’t do everything," she retorted.
Kaiser stood still, observing his hands like a child who had just discovered a new sensation.
"I feel... light. But also as if my muscles are harder than usual. It’s strange."
"That’s normal. Your energy is circulating poorly for now. It’s raw. With time, you’ll learn to guide it."
Kethra took a few steps back. She placed a hand on the guard of her training weapon. Kaiser immediately sensed that she wasn’t going to leave. His instinct tightened.
She was smiling.
It was the first time he had seen her smile like that. It was a wide, frank smile, but with a hint of challenge. A smile that gave him the impression she had been waiting for this for a long time.
"Get ready," she said.
"Why?"
"Because now that you’ve awakened your aura..."
She positioned her weapon in front of her, in a low guard.
"The real fight is about to begin."
Kaiser felt his heart leap. That smile didn’t make her kind. It made her dangerous. He breathed deeply. The aura vibrated again in his arms and legs, as if waiting for the order to burst forth.
"Shouldn’t you rather teach me techniques? Since I now have aura?"
"We’ll see about that later. For starters, you can use aura instinctively. Then, when you’re exhausted, I’ll teach you how to use it."
Kethra didn’t wait a second longer.
Her first movement was so fast that Kaiser barely saw it. The aura helped him react. He raised his weapon in time to parry a violent strike. The impact was much stronger than anything she had used before. Kaiser stepped back but did not falter. For the first time, he wasn’t pushed back like a child.
Kethra attacked again, giving him no respite. She had abandoned calm pedagogy. It was brutal training. Her strikes were precise but heavy. Kaiser felt strangely capable of keeping up. His muscles vibrated, reacting more efficiently. He dodged a vertical strike by pivoting to the side. His footing was stable. The aura strengthened his legs.
Kaiser attempted a counterattack, a simple diagonal strike. Kethra blocked it with a sharp gesture. The shock sent a vibration through his entire arm, but he held firm. The aura stabilized his joints.
"Good," she said, stepping back slightly. "You can really use it."
She launched a kick that he didn’t have time to block. Kaiser took it with his forearm. The pain was there but absorbed. He wasn’t thrown backward. This surprised Kethra, who saw him stay on his feet.
"You’re taking hits better now."
"I can feel it," Kaiser replied.
She immediately resumed the pressure. The fight became more violent. Kaiser dodged narrowly, parried, blocked, counterattacked, retreated then advanced. His movements lost their usual hesitation. The aura enveloped him, discreet but effective. He felt each muscle tense and release as if they were stronger. His breathing remained stable despite the intensity of the fight.
At one point, Kethra attacked with a series of three quick strikes. Kaiser blocked two and dodged the third. He stepped behind her and attempted a strike toward her ribs. She ducked, swept his legs. Kaiser jumped to avoid the sweep. His jump was higher than usual. The aura strengthened his footing.
Kethra smiled even more widely.
"Amusing. You’re adapting very quickly."
She charged again. This time, Kaiser felt every movement of his body as a natural reaction. He didn’t need to think about it. His body responded on its own. He parried a strike, chained with a push. Kethra stepped back slightly, surprised by the force he was now generating.
Kaiser took advantage to advance. He tried to unbalance her with a wrist movement and a feint. She avoided the attack and countered immediately. The fight became explosive. The weapons clacked, the steps struck the ground, the breaths mingled. Kaiser felt the limit of his aura approaching. A heat rose in his back then in his arms. The energy became unstable.
But he continued. He didn’t want to give up.
Kethra finally struck harder than before, testing her student’s resistance. Kaiser blocked with both hands. The impact vibrated through his entire body, but he stayed standing. His gaze met Kethra’s. For the first time, she had a serious expression.
"His lineage seems to run in his veins; your mother would be proud of you..." She murmured to herself.
"How much longer are you going to hold?" she asked.
Kaiser breathed in. But his body was becoming heavier and heavier.
"Enough to keep up with you, but I feel dizzy."
She laughed briefly, which was rather rare.
"Very well. That’s normal; you’re starting to feel the backlash."
She launched another violent strike. Kaiser dodged, attempted a counterattack. She parried. The movements chained without pause. Kaiser began to feel a dull fatigue in his muscles, but the aura allowed him to delay exhaustion.
Finally, after a particularly hard strike, Kethra stepped back a few paces and lowered her weapon.
"That’s enough."
Kaiser stood still, breathing hard.
*Cough*
"I can *Cough* Still *Pant* continue."
Kethra truly put away her weapon this time with a slight smile.
"That... I doubt it."
Before she could finish, Kaiser fell to his knees, vomiting.
"Kuh!!! Wtf!!"
"That’s normal... And even then, when you push mana usage too far, you can end up dying... Rest. Tomorrow, I’ll teach you a movement technique."
