Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 278: New Moon
He raised his swords, feeling their familiar weight in his hands.
"Second movement: Quarter Moon."
His swords came alive instantly.
Each movement left afterimages in the air, trails of cutting aura that lingered for a fraction of a second after the blades passed. Like silver quarter moons suspended in the rain.
He struck.
An arrow was deflected to his right.
Then another, broken in two.
Then three with a single circular motion, their ice fragments falling like rain around him.
The residual images did the rest, slicing through several projectiles without him even needing to touch them directly, cutting them into fine dust.
But as he blocked another arrow...
*Crack.*
A sound echoed in his arms, his eyes widened...
"Shit... the aftereffects of Sundering Eclipse."
His body was suffering the backlash of the technique. His muscles contracted painfully, wracked with uncontrollable spasms. His bones seemed to vibrate under the pressure, as if they would shatter at any moment. This Art he had pushed to the extreme continued to ravage his body from the inside.
Katrina, who immediately saw his difficulty, beat her wings and dove straight toward him. Her ice sword materialized in her hand.
Kaiser tried to raise his blades to defend himself, gathering his last strength.
But this time...
*CLANG.*
A crack appeared on his swords at the impact.
Then a second, deeper one, running along the blade like a black vein.
And suddenly—
*CRASH*
Both blades shattered.
Kaiser’s eyes widened, staring at the steel fragments spinning in the air.
"Fuck!" 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Katrina did not miss the opening.
*SPASH!*
Her blade sliced through his arm in a fluid motion. Before he could react, or even before the pain could reach his brain, she grabbed one of the spinning fragments of broken blade out of the air.
"Fuck—!"
And drove it straight into his heart.
Kaiser’s body froze instantly, shaking. He tried to step back, to pull himself free from the blade, but his legs gave out almost immediately. He fell to his knees in the mud.
Blood spurted from his mouth, running down his chin.
He spat a dark spray onto the ground, a mix of saliva and blood.
His vision blurred...
The pain was immense but strangely distant; he could no longer even scream from his amputated arm that was gushing blood.
He remembered the words Sulyvhan had spoken years earlier...
"These swords represent the level of the wielder."
"As long as the wielder is strong... the sword becomes higher quality."
"But if the wielder is weak..."
"It will be no different from ordinary steel."
Kaiser spat a mouthful of blood.
With his right hand, the only one he still had, he tried to grasp the piece of blade lodged in his heart.
His fingers trembled violently, wracked with uncontrollable spasms. It took him three attempts before he managed to grip the broken hilt, the cold metal slipping against his blood-soaked palm.
He tried to pull it out...
"Ahhhhh! SHIT! FUCK!"
A pain so intense it erased everything else for an instant; his vision turned white.
The blade was embedded far too deeply, the tip having pierced through the sternum to lodge exactly in the heart muscle.
His heart was slowing.
ta-doom...
Then an endless silence...
ta-doom...
Another beat, weaker...
In front of him, Katrina slowly descended from the sky. Her frost wings partially dissipated, crumbling into fine icy dust as she landed on the broken ground, barely two meters from him. Her boots crunched on the rubble.
She placed one foot in front of him, the other slightly back, adopting a relaxed, almost nonchalant stance.
Kaiser kept his head lowered.
His soaked hair clung to his face in dirty strands, partially hiding his features. Blood continued to drip from his mouth, drop by drop, forming a small puddle between his knees.
"You look so much like Isaak... That’s why I hate you the most!"
Her voice was not loud. Yet every word carried a deep hatred.
Kaiser wanted to answer.
But he could no longer move a single muscle.
’I am so pathetic...’
His body categorically refused to obey.
His heart was slowing even more, the beats spacing dangerously far apart.
’Fuck! Am I really going to die like this!? Shit! I don’t even have a weapon left to use Sundering Eclipse! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!’
And suddenly...
*Taboom* A new beat resounded in his chest.
Stronger than the previous ones.
*Taboom — Taboom — Taboom*
His heart began beating again.
Kaiser frowned slightly, feeling this sudden acceleration without understanding it.
He didn’t know if it was the anger at his own weakness, the rage boiling in his veins... or something else.
The blade lodged in his heart vibrated faintly.
The blade resonated with something deep inside his body. Something that was not his heart, not his muscles, not his blood. Something else...
*Taboom — Taboom — Taboom*
Kaiser’s heartbeat accelerated brutally, going from agonizing slowness to a galloping rhythm in a fraction of a second.
Glowing veins appeared along his right arm, running beneath his skin. A light spread under his epidermis, radiating from within.
On his back the Lunar Eclipse tattoo became visible. The complex lines that composed it began to glow with a dark red and pulsing blue light in time with his heartbeat.
The symbol shone.
A brutal Aura flooded his body.
It was not a normal aura, not the controlled and channeled mana flow he usually used.
It was something deeper.
Kaiser suddenly understood, in a flash of clarity amid the pain.
In this state... without a sword... without strength... unable to move...
He finally understood.
The state where the wielder merges with the sword.
The secret of the third movement.
A voice echoed in his memory, clear as if its owner were standing beside him.
"The Sundering Eclipse Art was not meant to be used only with a sword.
It was meant to be used on the body itself."
On the heart, the bones, the muscles... When one pushes this art to its limit... One no longer wields the sword... One becomes the sword.
"I finally understand..."
Katrina, noticing nothing, simply raised her ice sword.
The weapon was long, charged with wind and demonic mana, glowing faintly in the dimness, wisps of cold rising from its blade.
She aimed at his abdomen, just below the sternum.
"You should have died faster."
She raised her arm, ready to strike.
But at the last moment.
His right hand moved abruptly, toward her sword... The tip immediately pierced through the palm of his hand.
Blood spurted, splashing across his face.
She opened her eyes slightly, surprised by this sudden attack when he was supposed to be dying. She looked at her hand, the blade passing straight through it, a disdainful sneer twisting her lips.
"You lost!"
The blade continued to pierce her flesh, still embedded in her palm. But Kaiser no longer cared.
He kept advancing.
Even with the blade piercing his palm, even with the metal tearing his flesh with every movement.
Even with his heart pierced.
He brutally grabbed her wrist with his good hand.
"Huh!?"
And twisted it.
The bone cracked slightly under the pressure, a dry and wet sound at the same time.
"How!?"
Her eyes widened, all trace of contempt disappearing from her face to be replaced by complete incomprehension.
Kaiser slowly raised his head.
His Predation eyes shone with an intense red light, almost supernatural in the dimness. But this time...
Another energy vibrated around him...
"Third Movement: New Moon!"
The air around Kaiser exploded.
A wave of energy burst from his body in all directions, so powerful it sent up sprays of water and rubble. The ground beneath his feet cracked instantly, stones lifting and shattering under the pressure.
Katrina instantly understood the danger.
She leaped backward quickly, beating her wings to gain distance.
But Kaiser sprang toward her.
His energy overflowed from him and surged outward, pushing everything in its path.
Katrina hurriedly raised her ice sword to defend herself, crossing the blade in front of her.
But Kaiser was already in front of her.
And this time...
He no longer needed a sword.
