Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 267: Kethra!?
The whistle of the white blade tore through the mana-saturated air. The pure bar of light from <First Movement: Crescent Moon> shot toward Aidan with absolute murderous intent.
Everything in its path, from the frost covering the slabs to the stone itself, was sliced. Aidan Silvernight, despite his surprise, reacted with the swiftness typical of S-rank warriors.
A burst of golden light enveloped his boots as he used his light aura to perform a disconcertingly rapid lateral shift. The shockwave from the crescent moon crashed against the labyrinth wall behind him, causing a massive collapse that shook the entire structure.
"You aren’t the only ones who haven’t gone all out..." Aidan spat, his golden eyes shining with a divine glow as he steadied himself.
Julian Frostvine gave him no time to catch his breath. The son of the Pleiades Merope stepped forward, and the cold radiating from him became a physical entity. His ice aura, amplified by his spiritual heritage, condensed around his slender blade.
<Art: Frost Vine>
He struck the frozen ground with his blade. Massive ice vines, bristling with razor-sharp spikes, burst from the rock. They snaked toward Aidan with vegetal fury, seeking to bind his movements. At the same moment, a silver arrow whistled over Julian’s shoulder.
Jasper Del Luna, freed from his blindfold, now saw the world as a web of energy flows. His Moon Eyes analyzed the slightest micro-contraction of Aidan’s muscles, predicting his movement vectors even before he launched.
<Lunar Refraction Arrow>
The mana projectile did not follow a straight path. In mid-flight, it split into five shards of light that pivoted in the air to attack Aidan from blind angles.
The Silvernight leader had to spin his light sword to parry Julian’s vines while deflecting Jasper’s shots.
Aidan sneered, his reaction speed still superior to that of his attackers. He was a storm of light, a golden blur that seemed to exist in several places at once.
"Too slow..." Aidan began.
It was then that Nox appeared behind him. The anti-magic enveloping Walpurga’s disciple acted like an absolute void.
On his approach, Aidan’s golden aura flickered, extinguishing in places like a flame deprived of oxygen. Nox did not use finesse. His black claws, charged with anti-magic energy, slammed toward Aidan’s cervical vertebrae.
<Anti-magic Disintegration>
Aidan felt the threat of death. He could not parry this attack with mana, because contact with Nox would simply cancel his defense. He had to sacrifice his stance, throwing himself to the ground in a brutal roll.
But as he recovered, Paragon was already there, waiting in his landing angle.
Kaiser had pushed his <Eye of Perception> to the maximum. To him, Aidan moved as if submerged in molasses. Aura Farming converted every ounce of interest and surprise from the nearby Fallen into an inexhaustible reserve of physical energy.
<Sundering Eclipse: Second Movement: Quarter Moon>
Afterimages, as sharp as real blades, remained suspended in the air as he chained strikes at a speed beyond human comprehension. Aidan, on the ground, raised his arm to block, counting on his light shield...
The Quarter Moon ignored the materiality of magical protections. The shadow edge opened a deep gash on Aidan’s forearm, blood spurting against the white stone of the labyrinth.
Aidan let out a roar of rage. A luminous shockwave exploded from his body, pushing Kaiser and Nox back several meters. He stood up, his face distorted by humiliation. His wounds did not heal; the residual effect of the Sundering Eclipse seemed to prevent mana from stabilizing the flesh.
The fight then entered a phase of total synergy for the Dark Tetrad.
Julian froze the air itself to slow Aidan’s peak speed, creating slippery frost zones where the S-rank warrior lost traction. Jasper, meanwhile, guided his comrades’ attacks.
"Julian... ten o’clock, high strike..." Jasper ordered.
Julian complied, launching a <Frosted Blade Strike> that forced Aidan to raise his guard. In the follow-through, Jasper fired an arrow that passed exactly through the opening created under Aidan’s armpit. The Silvernight leader had to contort his body at an impossible angle to avoid having his heart pierced.
On the other side, Kaiser and Nox formed a duo of raw destruction. Nox shattered the spells that Spectrum’s heretics tried to cast to support their leader, while Kaiser used his <Aura Attraction> to forcibly pull Aidan toward Nox’s claws.
"Come here..." Kaiser hissed, his left arm projecting an aura that wrapped around Aidan’s leg.
He pulled with all his strength. Aidan was unbalanced. Nox dove in, his hands sinking into Aidan’s ribs. A sinister crack of flesh and broken bones echoed.
"You guys are starting to piss me off!"
Aidan Silvernight, cornered, began to release his S-rank warrior essence. His speed suddenly tripled, his body becoming a pure beam of light that bounced off the labyrinth walls. He struck Nox in the face, sending him crashing into a stone cell, then dodged a salvo of thirty of Jasper’s arrows in a fraction of a second.
"You’ve amused me enough!" Aidan shouted, his voice carried by colossal mana.
He pointed his sword toward the ceiling.
<Judgment of the Noon Lance>
A devastating column of light descended from the sky, threatening to vaporize everything. But Kaiser, imperturbable, smoothed his silver hair back. He knew this was the moment.
"Jasper... now," Kaiser said.
Jasper activated his lunar conversion power. His galaxy eyes shone with an unbearable glow.
<Lunar Absorption!!!>
Instead of fleeing Aidan’s light, he absorbed it.
<Lunar Refraction!>
His Moon Eyes devoured the light mana, instantly converting it into ice energy that he redirected toward Julian.
Julian received this influx of power. His eyes turned completely white, reflecting the might of a Pleiades.
"<Art: Frost Vine: Misty Form>" Julian cried out. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
The entire area transformed into a dense frost mist that scattered and weakened Aidan’s light. In this fog, only Kaiser could see thanks to his <Eyes of Predation>, detecting Aidan’s red vital points through the darkness.
Kaiser burst from the fog, his two swords crossed.
"You should learn to shut your mouth before you die," he declared coldly.
<Light Barrier>
"Nope!" Nox tore the barrier with his claws, leaving a clear path for Kaiser.
Aidan Silvernight, the pinnacle of the Silvernight clan, looked with horror at the four "monsters" surrounding him, realizing too late that the Dark Tetrad was not composed of mere students, but of predators who had already left the world of men.
His energy blade sliced through the air.
"Really a bunch of little shits..."
<Arcane of Light!>
*BOOM*
The impact exploded the ground beneath their feet.
A column of raw aura crashed down from the sky, piercing the cavern’s darkness. The released aura was so powerful it projected visible shockwaves. For the first time, even Aidan squinted.
A silhouette slowly descended from the heart of that pillar, firmly holding the hand of Aidan who was about to strike... The light dissipated, revealing a young woman.
Her pale skin was crossed with cut and burn scars. These stigmata contrasted violently with the fineness of her features. Her short, tousled hair was an almost silver white. Her eyes: golden, exactly like Aidan’s.
She wore a short white top with a slightly satiny texture that revealed part of her muscular abdomen where more scars ran. Very tight black leather pants hugged her legs, held by a belt with a simple metal buckle.
Aidan stared at her, and for the first time, a genuine emotion crossed his face.
"What are you doing here, dear cousin..." he asked, narrowing his eyes.
"It’s been a while... Aidan..." Makira Keth Silvernight articulated...
She did not hold Aidan in her heart because he had spent his childhood harassing her cruelly. At that time, her total absence of mana made her a worthless nobody in the eyes of the Silvernight lineage, a genetic waste ignored by adults and trampled by children like Aidan to assert their superiority.
Aidan Silvernight, the current patriarch of the family, jumped back. His golden eyes, cold and arrogant, swept over Makira’s figure with a look of disgust.
"I believe I asked you a question... what are you doing here?" Aidan spat, scowling at this intrusion he deemed insulting.
Makira did not even bother responding to the provocation. She turned away from him to lower her gaze on Kaiser, who was also staring at her.
"You’ve grown, Kaiser..."
The latter narrowed his eyes: "Who are you? Why do you look like Kethra...?"
Kethra was the woman who had taught him the basics of aura upon his return from training with Sulyvhan; she had left the duchy.
This woman who had just appeared had different hair and eye colors, with many scars... But she strongly resembled his master.
"You look really messed up, Kaiser..." she replied, her voice softening imperceptibly as she observed him. "We’ll talk about it later... For now, you had better head straight to the Paragon county... right now, your lands are under a large-scale attack."
"What!" Kaiser reacted.
"We’ll talk later..." Makira cut in, intercepting the questions crowding Kaiser’s mind. "The most important thing is to prevent Aidan from getting his hands on the grimoire... Go, I’ll handle this side."
Kaiser nodded.
Makira looked around: "The rest of you, get to safety... He wasn’t even at 50% of his power."
"You two seem to know each other quite intimately..." Aidan threw in a honeyed tone. "What’s your relationship...?"
"Now... I’m your opponent..." Makira pointed out, a carnivorous smile stretching her lips.
"Tch..." Aidan clicked his tongue. "Useless good-for-nothing devoid of mana... how long do you plan to block my way with your savage muscles?"
Makira drew an axe and placed it in front of her.
"Today... will be your last day."
