Exiled!? Ha! I have An Infinite Space-Chapter 68 -
The yard was quiet.
Everyone watched the wooden board where the annulment paper lay.
Han Fuji held the brush and looked at Fu Fong first.
"Come forward," he said simply.
Fu Fong’s face was dark. His jaw was tight, and his fists were clenched.
For a moment, he did not move.
The head guard stepped closer.
"You caused this trouble," he said coldly. "Finish it."
Fu Fong looked around. Everyone was watching him.
Even his own family said nothing.
Finally, he stepped forward.
Han Fuji dipped the brush in ink and handed it to him.
Fu Fong grabbed it roughly and signed his name on the document.
The brush pressed so hard that the ink spread across the paper.
Han Fuji took the brush back and turned to Bai Ming.
"Your turn."
Bai Ming walked forward calmly.
Her steps were slow but steady.
She looked at the paper for a moment, then took the brush.
Without hesitation, she wrote her name beside Fu Fong’s.
When she finished, she put the brush down.
The marriage was over.
Han Fuji then turned to Li Manman.
"You also need to sign as witness," he said.
Li Manman looked pale, but under everyone’s eyes she had no choice.
She stepped forward slowly and signed her name.
Han Fuji nodded and rolled the scroll carefully.
"It is done."
The whispers started again.
Fu Tong stretched his arms and laughed.
"Well, that was fast."
Fu Teng shook his head.
"Brother Fu Fong lost a wife and his dignity in one day."
Fu Fong’s face looked terrible, but he said nothing.
The head guard then stepped forward again.
He looked at Bai Ming.
"You are now divorced from the Fu family," he said.
Bai Ming nodded quietly.
The head guard continued.
"But you were registered with the Fu family before the exile began."
He pointed at the children beside her.
"And now you have taken full custody of the children."
Bai Ming held Fu Lin’s hand while Fu Qin stood beside her.
The head guard spoke clearly.
"You will continue the exile journey with the convoy."
A few people looked surprised.
"But," he added, "you will no longer be registered under the Fu family."
The words were simple.
But everyone understood what they meant.
Bai Ming and her children were now completely separate from the Fu family.
Bai Ming lowered her head slightly.
"Understood."
Behind me, Fu Fei whispered softly.
"So she’s free... but still stuck traveling with us."
I crossed my arms and watched Bai Ming.
Fu Fong stood not far away, staring at her with dark eyes.
But Bai Ming did not look at him even once.
Instead, she gently pulled her children closer.
And for the first time since this whole mess started—
Her shoulders looked lighter.
The annulment scroll was rolled up.
The matter between Bai Ming and Fu Fong was finished.
But the second scroll still remained.
The marriage document.
Aunt Fu suddenly clapped her hands with a bright smile.
"Well then," she said loudly, "since everything is settled, we should finish the other matter too."
She quickly walked over and grabbed Li Manman’s hand.
"My dear, becoming my daughter-in-law is the best decision," she said sweetly. "You are much more beautiful and obedient than Bai Ming ever was."
Grandma Fu also nodded.
"Yes, yes. A woman like you is much better for our Fu family."
Li Manman’s face looked stiff.
But before she could say anything—
Fu Fong suddenly stepped forward and grabbed her hand tightly.
"Of course she will marry me," he said coldly.
His grip on her wrist was rough.
It almost looked painful.
But no one spoke up.
Some people in the crowd even laughed quietly.
"Well, she was defending him earlier."
"Exactly. She looked very close to him."
"If she likes him so much, she should just marry him."
Li Manman opened her mouth slightly.
But the pressure around her was too strong.
Fu Fong pulled her toward the wooden board.
"Sign," he ordered.
Han Fuji opened the red scroll.
The marriage document.
Fu Fong took the brush first and quickly wrote his name.
Then he forced the brush into Li Manman’s hand.
"Your turn."
His eyes were dark.
Li Manman’s fingers trembled slightly.
But under everyone’s eyes, she slowly wrote her name.
’You bastard... once I get what I want.. I’ll kill you and throw you into the forest to be eaten by wild dogs.’
The marriage was sealed.
Han Fuji rolled the scroll again.
"It is done."
Some people clapped jokingly.
"Congratulations!"
"What a quick wedding."
Fu Tong laughed loudly.
"This carbin is really lively today."
But before the noise could grow louder—
The head guard suddenly spoke again.
"Li Manman."
Everyone looked at him.
Li Manman also looked up nervously.
The head guard crossed his arms.
"I have something to tell you."
His voice was calm.
"When you suddenly insisted on following the Fu family into exile, I found it suspicious."
Li Manman’s face changed slightly.
"So I sent a report to the magistrate a few days ago."
The yard became quiet again.
"The reply arrived yesterday."
Li Manman stared at him.
The head guard continued.
"The order said that your name was never meant to be on the exile list."
Gasps spread through the crowd.
"You were supposed to be removed and set free."
Li Manman froze.
For a moment she looked like she had stopped breathing.
But the head guard was not finished.
"However..."
He glanced at the marriage scroll in Han Fuji’s hand.
"You have now married into the Fu family."
"Which means you are officially part of an exile household."
His voice stayed calm.
"So your freedom is no longer in your hands."
The words fell like a hammer.
Li Manman’s face turned completely pale.
I couldn’t help it.
A laugh slipped out of my mouth.
"Wow," I said softly.
Beside me, Fu Fei shook her head with a small smirk.
"The head guard probably kept quiet about it on purpose," she whispered.
Then she shrugged.
"She deserves it."
