Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill-Chapter 59: Imprint
"Thank you for your hard work, here is a little gift from me." Neil thanked the people guarding his domain, giving them some food items.
Of course, it put a slight smile on their face. They weren’t expecting anything from him, much less the precious food.
They apologized for the blunder and promised to be more careful from now on.
"We will find that Gary guy and punish him, only he in Arlo’s gang has such abilities." One of them muttered, with determination.
Nodding, Neil made his way into his domain.
"Everything is fine now, you all can relax for now." Neil announced, dispersing them all.
With the giants outside, there was no space to even move.
’I really need to evolve my domain further, sigh...’ if only he could get the necessary domain cores.
He sat down near the campfire, the snow on his clothes melting away instantly.
"Let’s check out the loot!" he mumbled excitedly, thanks to loot stealth, the loot directly entered his storage so the corpse remained intact.
[You have acquired 3,000 Shards!]
First he collected the shards and the number surprised him, the jump was rather big.
’Nice, maybe I will ask the people here to hunt 2nd Origin creatures too.’ He thought before shifting his gaze to other items.
[You have acquired a 2nd Origin Silver Class Gene Point.]
It was good but Neil couldn’t use it for now, only after evolving could he drink it.
So he just kept it away for now.
[You have acquired a skill, Sonic!]
"Great, another skill!!"
『
[Sonic]
[Rank]: Mythic
[Skill Description]: A powerful mental and physical skill that releases powerful sonic attacks twice your strength level. It can stun enemies with a big power difference!
Enemies with weaker mental defences than user could be killed instantly.
』
"Oh, a mythic class skill! And this is a great one, I needed attack skills."
The Aquamorph and Slimemorph are great but at least for now, they are more of a support skill.
So he needed powerful attack ones.
Neil smiled, this intruder wasn’t so bad.
He gave such nice gifts to Neil for intruding into his domain the first and last time.
Finally his gaze fixed on the final loot item.
[You have acquired the mythic class Agility Lock imprint!]
"An imprint? What’s this now?" Neil wondered.
And always, Nemo came to help: "Master, imprints are sorts of tattoos that are attached to bodies and have various effects.
They are mostly found in loots and are very rare, people are always searching for imprints. But again, it’s the first I have heard about a mythic imprint."
"Are they really so special?"
[Would you like to use the Agility Lock Imprint?]
"Yes," he replied, from the name it did sound good.
Instantly, Neil felt a strange sensation over his feet that quickly spread over his body.
A strange pattern appeared over his feet, climbing up to his knees.
But after a moment, the pattern disappeared.
"Is it done? I don’t feel any changes..." Neil mumbled, quite curious about this thing’s workings.
『
[Agility Lock Imprint]
[Rank]: Mythic
[Description]:
(Additional effect): An imprint which increases your agility by twice instantly upon activation.
(Main): Anyone you set the lock on will instantly have their agility stolen by half until the imprint is activated.
If the power difference is too large, the stolen agility will instead be determined by your strength.
』
"W-Whoa!! This... is awesome!" Neil exclaimed in surprise.
This imprint was too OP, even the additional effect was so great.
Both of these things would be of great use against powerful foes in the future.
After this one battle, Neil’s strength had suddenly increased by a big margin.
’I will check out my strength in the arena tomorrow, but I don’t think I would need these even among the diamond class lords.’
He thought, only people at 2nd Origin would be a challenge for him now.
"Lukas!" Hiroshima and Joe finally arrived.
Calming his excited heart, Neil walked out of his domain.
"Are you alright? Gary didn’t cause any damage, right?" the warden asked, he was relieved to see Neil alive.
"Yeah, I am fine, thank you." Neil nodded.
"Don’t worry, I will go personally and deal with Arlo and his gang and make sure they don’t bother you anymore."
Hiroshima said before adding:
"I was busy with the preparation of the next wave of beasts, it will be coming soon.
And everyone is busy hunting, they want to gather enough food since no one goes out in that time."
Neil couldn’t help but smile at that piece of news, so many people were out there, hunting a lot of beasts.
"Oh right, tell them I also accept creatures of 2nd Origin, though I will announce the exchange rate later."
After all he needed to know how many shards he would get from each class.
"Alright, but during the beast tide, it won’t be possible for anyone to stay out on guard.
So why don’t you shift your domain into the settlement? I will be able to protect it better too." Hiroshima said.
He was afraid that Neil might be attacked by beasts or might decide to leave soon.
"I will think about that later." Neil replied, he would make the judgement based on his strength after a week.
"Oh right, ask those people to bring a few live monsters if they could, of any class. I will pay extra for that." Neil added just as the warden was leaving.
He still needed to upgrade his armor.
"Okay." Hiroshima finally left.
After talking a bit with the guards, he walked back into the domain.
No one came to exchange for the day, it seemed they wanted to hunt a lot of beasts first.
Neil decided to use this time to relax and talk with his subjects.
He needed to form a better bond with them all and know more about them.
...
"Hahaha, Lord, this liquor is so good. Drinking in such cold weather sure is nice, haa." Bob burped, drinking wine from a big glass.
The three dwarves, the two cooks, Ileana, Neil and even Leon sat around the campfire.
"My lord, let me refill your glass." Ileana, being as attentive as ever, refilled Neil’s glass.
"This place is great for my growth, but I still want to leave. There is too much danger here." Neil said, he hadn’t even experienced life in a human settlement yet.
"Lord, can you contact your family from here?" Ileana asked, she wanted to know about his family.
"No, the only family member I have is my old aunt, she took care of me since I was little. It would have been wonderful if Aunt May could see my domain too and meet you all."
Neil sighed, he couldn’t even know how she was doing.
"Oh, what about your parents?" Ray asked, getting hit by his sister instantly.
"It’s fine, I have never really seen them and I don’t care. So you can say I am an orphan, anyway except for the dangerous surroundings, how do you like this place?" he asked, looking up after taking a big gulp of wine.
"Of course, life here is great. I am happy that I got a second chance and lucked out in this life. Everyone is so nice here." Ileana was the first to answer.
"Yes lord, I love it here! I would die just to be reborn here hahaha."
Mob laughed loudly, he wasn’t as open as Bob and Rob but now even he was quite emotional.
Neil smiled as he watched them all laugh and talk, it felt quite nice to have such a big and kind family.
They all always did their best at everything; this was home to them all too after all.
"My lord, who is Jane?" Ileana asked suddenly, instantly making Neil’s smile disappear.
’Ah, a wrong question?’ seeing the change, the gorgeous healer realised it was a mistake.
"How do you know that name?" he asked, not happy to hear it as it brought along painful memories.
"Oh uhm... you accidentally called me Jane when I asked you for water last night, you were half asleep." She added quickly, with an apologetic expression.
While scolding herself internally.
"Sigh... she is my ex girlfriend, we broke up right after our awakening because she and her family thought my synergy was too low and my future bleak, she was wasted on me."
He answered anyway with a frown.
He also explained a little about the awakening and the attack of the Lizzard race.
They all quieted down and listened.
"But forget them, that’s all the past. It doesn’t matter anymore, our future is brighter than the sun." He added with a light laugh, as everyone relaxed.
"Yes, it’s party time! And lord, you already have someone as beautiful as Ileana, clearly you deserved better haha!" Bob added, they all already saw them as a couple.
Ileana was like a caring wife and was very good-natured.
She was so devoted to him, if not for his ’trauma’ stopping him, he might have already fallen for this drop-dead gorgeous and extremely hot and mature lady.
Hearing Bob, Neil said nothing but continued to drink the wine, he wasn’t really sure if he should allow himself to experience love again.
Ileana smiled, she didn’t mind him taking more time especially after knowing.
She thanked Jane and her family; if not for them, how could she make all these advances on Neil?
’Even if they announced a fake synergy level, I can’t believe someone could actually give up on him. Sigh... the stupidity of such people...’
Ileana sighed while shaking her head, but this was for the best.
Neil couldn’t help but remember his time with Jane, he loved her so much, still unable to believe she was that sort of woman.
Sigh...
