Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill-Chapter 50: The Trade Plan
"Have you found anything about him?" a woman dressed in a long black dress questioned.
"Yes, apparently he is Neil Yates from the human race. While going to the Zoratian planet from his home planet Earth, their warp ship was attacked and quite a few teenagers were kidnapped by the Lizard race. He was one of them."
A female voice reported in her mind, it was her AI assistant.
Cinthia, the queen of the snake people, was still desperately searching for the hateful person.
Near the end, Cinthia was able to see Neil’s face, and although most of the info about him was locked up, such basic info could easily be found.
The female voice continued: "His parents are quite powerful and control the big Yate family.
Anyway, there was little I could find on him. I even found that he awakened with only thirty something synergy."
"..." Cinthia’s frown deepened. She had allowed such a weak, ordinary human to touch her. The more she thought, the angrier she became.
"But only recently was it announced that his synergy was actually ninety nine percent."
"Oh!" even Cinthia was surprised upon hearing this. There are so many races on the Zoratian planet, yet no one has ever gotten a synergy as high as that.
"Looks like he wasn’t that ordinary. Did you find the new location of his domain?" she asked, feeling a bit better. At least it wasn’t just some random human.
Though that didn’t decrease her anger towards Neil one bit.
"No, apparently the humans believe he is dead. He didn’t return with the other survivors and hasn’t contacted anyone, it seems." her AI replied.
"Don’t stop your search. Keep searching for him. I will go personally to the human territory if I have to, just to kill him."
She spoke, and could think of why he wouldn’t want to reveal his location.
With synergy that high, even other humans would target him, let alone other races.
KNOCK KNOCK
"Enter." Cinthia said, her face becoming devoid of any emotion.
"Greetings Queen, your father has sent this." The snake woman bowed. She was carrying a box which seemed to be made of jade.
"Leave it here. Did they send any message?" she asked, her melodious voice as chilly as ever.
"Yes, your father ordered you to hurry up and go there. He said he has a plan for you." Her subject replied respectfully.
Cinthia nodded emotionlessly and gestured her to leave. After the woman was gone, she picked up the jade box.
Upon opening it, she found a flower inside. It was the White Bat Orchid, exactly the flower she needed for her hunt.
But she wasn’t happy.
Clearly, she wasn’t close to her father or even her family, which is also why she had slowed down her progress.
So she could be away from them for a little longer. Otherwise, she would have already moved on to the next planet for further evolution.
"No matter how much I hate it, I still have to go there." her soft pink lips pursed as she gripped the box tightly, fully aware that she was never a daughter to her father.
Just an investment, a tool, and even a research material.
"El, order everyone to get ready. We are going to hunt a Fourth Origin Diamond Class beast. After returning, I will enter the newbie clash battle trials."
Cinthia spoke as she put away the jade box into her spatial storage.
"Oh?! Personally? This will be a first." El, her AI assistant, was surprised but quickly followed the orders.
Cinthia stared outside the window for a few moments before sighing and walking out, her voluptuous figure swaying slightly.
She wasn’t yet strong enough to control her own fate.
***
Hiroshima stared at Neil’s face, sighing to himself.
He didn’t know how he had managed to injure Jose, but it seemed to be a momentary burst of power.
That thing won’t be helpful in hunting.
’With such low strength, it will be hard for him to hunt many creatures. I guess I will help him out for now.’ He made up his mind.
"..." while Neil stared at the paper in surprise, the price set up by Arlo was truly quite high.
The already low success rate and Arlo taking his big cut made it worse.
"Hey, I have a proposal for you. Do you mind listening to it?" As Neil looked back up, his eyes were almost glowing with excitement.
If this works out, then this place will be a gold mine for him.
"Hmm, sure. Tell me, or do you prefer talking somewhere private?" the warden asked, Zeke standing there silently.
"Yeah, that would be better." Neil nodded. For a while, he had to be careful of Arlo’s gang.
...
After a few minutes, the three men were seated in a spacious room inside the warden’s office.
"Tell me, what proposal do you have?" Hiroshima asked. He already had an idea about it.
’He probably wants to borrow some food and return it later with interest.’ He thought.
"So I have an ability with which I can get food in return for gene potions. Any food, and even other supplies such as clothes." Neil spoke seriously, as the expressions of the other two men changed.
"Huh? Are you telling the truth?" they looked at him doubtfully, wondering if they had welcomed some scammer.
He did sound like it.
"Yes. So how about we replace Arlo? If we exchange through my ability, there won’t even be chances of failure, and the exchange rate will be much cheaper." Neil spoke, getting excited just thinking about it.
He could get thousands of shards and gene points without even doing anything, and could buy food from the kitchen.
Hiroshima and Zeke looked at each other with clear doubt in their eyes. Of course that would be great, but the precondition is that Neil is telling the truth.
And if he is, then Arlo would no longer be as wild and the food problem would be solved.
"Are you really telling the truth?" the warden asked seriously, staring deeply for any signs of a lie.
"Of course, give me a minute." He took out a pen from his inventory and began to write something on the paper.
After thinking, he wrote it down and handed the paper over to Hiroshima.
"..."
Ten corpses of Bronze Class will get them three days’ worth of food.
Three corpses of Silver Class will get them three days’ worth of food.
One Gold Class corpse will get them three days’ worth of food.
And one Diamond Class corpse will get them eight days’ worth of food.
"Huh?!!" he stared at it in surprise. This deal was three times cheaper than getting food from Arlo.
’One day’s worth of food just costs me nearly ten shards based on what is bought.
So, I will be making a profit of ninety shards on each hundred shards while doing absolutely nothing!’ Neil was quite excited to execute this plan as soon as possible.
Not to mention, he would also be getting the gene points for free and maybe even some extra loot.
The only condition he mentioned was that he would only accept corpses, not direct gene potions.
"Can you show it to me? If this is true, then I will personally help you." Hiroshima said, just as excited.
"Of course, but to do that I will have to return to my domain. Why don’t you come along with me?" Neil said with a smile before adding:
"But for personal reasons, I can’t let anyone enter it."
