Neil held the two energy radiating gene potions in his hands, it was like he was holding two powerful bombs.

"Two mythic gene points!" putting the red one back into the inventory, he first decided to consume the milky one.

Removing the lid, Neil gulped it all down.

At first a cool feeling spread across his body, then Neil felt as if his veins, internal organs, and even blood were freezing.

But there was no pain.

A powerful wave of aura burst around his body, startling everyone in the domain.

A small blizzard rose around him, the effect of the gene potion was far more dramatic than anything before.

Neil closed his eyes and sat with his fists clenched, feeling the rush of blood.

As the cold energy merged with his body, the drastic changes were so evident.

Yet even this much cold didn’t seem to affect him at all, something was strange.

Did his resistance against cold increase somehow?

His strength and aura were getting stronger rapidly, the entire domain was already covered by a layer of ice.

It took nearly twenty minutes before the changes finally stopped.

If he had consumed them both, his body might have just exploded.

The amount of energy it possessed was just on another level, Neil could feel a mountain like change in his strength.

First he decided to move out of the domain, he sat over a stone and took out the red gene potion.

"I hope it doesn’t burn me to death." After a short break, he gulped the other gene potion.

WHOOSH

A powerful flame lit around his body, his clothes weren’t affected but the snow around him began to melt.

Again, the process was no less dramatic, but Neil wasn’t as surprised after experiencing it once.

Prolonged exposure drastically slows perception and reactions, and can suspend wounds, active spells, and energy flow in a frozen state.

Neil rose to his feet and pulled out the chains.

Two long and heavy spectral chains appeared. The Frost chain was made of deep blue crystal, emitting bluish mist, suddenly bringing the surrounding temperature down.

The Inferno chain was made of dark crimson material with ember sparks, it appeared as if mana was flowing all over it.

The right side turned hot, the air distorting as it emitted dark smoke.

Neil held the Inferno in his right hand and Frost in his left, he could feel space on both sides colliding and trembling.

[Would you like to merge with the Primordial Chains of Calamity?]

"Yes," holding the chains that seemed to be brimming with energy, Neil replied instantly.

There was no mention of rank, it seemed these chains could grow along with him, just like the dual swords.

But his thoughts were suddenly pushed back as the two chains coiled over his arms like snakes, their size reducing.

The blood in his right hand felt like flowing lava while the left felt freezing cold, yet there was no pain, just a strange sensation.

Neil released a long breath, the two extreme temperatures spreading in his body, and finally they collided at the centre.

Neil was instantly worried that it might cause an explosion or something, but thankfully, without touching, the two energies revolved against one another.

Slowly coming to rest.

Then the chains trembled violently, sizzling and tightening as they seemed to merge into his hands.

Within moments, only two tattoos remained, red on the right and bluish on the left, reaching a bit above the elbow.

"Hoo, this is so damn cool!" Neil lightly clenched his fist and with just a thought the two chains materialised.

He decided to test them out, though he would need more practice to get used to them.

WHOOSH

Rotating the Inferno above his head, he struck the ground not too far away, as the length of the chain increased according to his wish.

BOOOOM!!

The ground exploded violently, lava bursting out and an enormous crater opened in the ground, the power shocked even Neil.

He really would need to practice more to be able to control them.

The chains were still wrapped around his forearms, hanging down, appearing deadly and heavy.

Though they didn’t really put any strain on him.

Changing the location, Neil saw a big stone.

This time, controlling the force, Neil swung his right arm as the Inferno chain wrapped around the large stone.

"Good, with the connection, it is easy to control them."

After the chain was wrapped around the large stone, it glowed brightly as the stone began to tremble dangerously.

It began to decay, lava bursting out from within it, and in a couple of seconds, the stone exploded with a loud boom.

Pieces of the stone, decayed and filled with lava, flew in all directions.

BANG BANG

Neil lightly twisted his wrist as the Inferno chain spun before him, breaking the pieces of stone into dust before they could reach him.

"Holy shit, this is too awesome!!" Neil’s heart was beating rapidly, anyone seeing it from afar would feel as if lava was flowing in a thin line from his right arm.

"Master, these chains are most probably already equal to the power level of 4th Origin weapons, truly wonderful!" Nemo spoke happily.

Neil nodded.

Then he looked at Frost. The chain looked very beautiful while Inferno looked deadly and dreadful.

Without wasting a moment, he decided to check it out.

Changing the location again, he moved closer to the hot side where the ground was still covered by lava.

With a slight flick of his wrist, the heavy milky chain flew forward, violently burying into the ground.

He gave a light squeeze as it glowed and energy burst out.
