Evolving My Mythic Legion With A Legendary Skill-Chapter 113: The Bet
Neil put the other tasks on halt for now and travelled to the clash realm, appearing directly in Cinthia’s personal space.
Her personality is usually cold and prideful, she is also a battle maniac though not as much as the current Neil.
He wondered if she would even be worried or might be trying to find another student.
Neil knew there was some reason behind her trying to find a student so desperately, so if he is gone, she would need another.
As he arrived in the clash realm, he gazed around at the familiar field and the wooden hut.
Right beside the door there, sat his teacher, appearing calm though he couldn’t see her face.
He breathed in the cool air, she looked just as hot as ever, her figure could easily rival Ileana.
But what made Neil freeze was the scent of her blood, which was even stronger now, intoxicating him.
As a true phantom, he really had a strong urge to bite into her soft and smooth skin and taste her blood.
"Walker, you are here." Cinthia saw him, speaking very calmly as she stood up.
"Hello teacher, sorry for disappearing. I got busy with rather difficult things." Neil said, walking closer to her.
"Did you miss me?" he asked, her reaction was a bit disappointing.
"Huh? Why would I miss my student? I just came here to check after seeing your message, I was even about to get another student." Cinthia said.
El rolled his eyes, even though he didn’t have one, she had been coming to this space daily waiting for him.
Such a tsundere her master is.
"Ah I see, it makes sense." Neil nodded, though he wondered how much of her words were true.
After knowing her, he was starting to understand her personality, and knew of her tsundere traits.
’Haa Sometimes people lie to hide something...’ he thought, now wondering if it was the same for Jane.
It made him wonder if that was all just acting or was she still waiting for him.
But there is already Ileana in his life now, he just sighed at the complications of things.
"You are fine... right? What exactly happened? Do you need something else?" she asked, her tone a bit hurried.
She was so relieved earlier that she hadn’t noticed it, but now her eyes widened in surprise.
"You are already at the 3rd Origin?!! It hasn’t even been long since you became a lord, what monstrous growth is that?"
She had helped him with the domain cores before, but that alone wouldn’t be enough.
Not to mention, even after so many days, not once had he been removed from the 1st position in the global ranking.
The lords outside have also been achieving all sorts of things, but none could make him budge from his rank.
Just what sorts of accomplishments had he made?
"Yeah, I managed it somehow." He said. Whatever her true feelings, Neil was still a bit disappointed to see her reaction.
Maybe he expected too much.
"Now that you are at this rank, there are many things that you need to learn. About the soul space, about your Essence, skills and more."
She spoke, feeling quite excited at his return and getting to teach him again.
"You can come here from now on, right?" Cinthia asked, the proud snake queen was feeling something she had not before.
"Probably, sigh maybe you should just go ahead and search for another student, I don’t think I can make it out of..." sighing loudly, Neil spoke in a disappointed tone.
Cinthia felt her heart flutter, she really didn’t want him to die.
"No, you are going to be fine. I will train you even harder, you are going to make it out." She said sternly.
Then she asked, "Did you receive the items I sent to you?"
"Yeah I got that emblem, the spear and two domain cores, plus some food and basic stuff. Thank you, teacher." He said. If it wasn’t for her, he wouldn’t have been able to kill those creatures.
"Hmm I guess a few things were lost in the transaction after all, anyway... can you come from tomorrow?"
Cinthia questioned, there was an expectant look on her hidden face.
"I am not sure, you know how dangerous that place is. Carceral Citadel..." he tried calling and actually succeeded, maybe because there was a link nearby.
"You should ask your other students to come train with you." Neil joked.
"Ugh." Cinthia felt irritated at that response, she just said that thing to not seem too eager and didn’t want him to know that she had been coming here to wait for him daily.
"Enough, there are no other students, you are my only one... student." She spoke, making Neil chuckle, it was fun teasing his teacher.
"Alright then, I will come tomorrow morning if nothing goes wrong. I am also trying to find the way out of that place." Neil said.
Cinthia nodded, though she knew it was nearly impossible to get out.
People had been trapped there for so long, yet nothing happened.
"Ah right, teacher how about we make a bet about tomorrow’s training?" Neil suddenly thought of something.
"A bet? Go on." She looked interested, crossed her arms over her ample breasts.
"If I can endure that tortur- training for four hours, you will fulfil one of my requests." He spoke.
"I will only make the bet if we set the terms beforehand, remember, never make promises without knowing the context." She smiled.
Sighing, Neil nodded. "Alright, if I win the bet then you will let me drink your blood directly."
"Huh? Blood? Aren’t you a human?" Cinthia was taken aback, did she misunderstand?
Or was it someone from a different race who had teleported to the human race.
"I am human, but it’s a skill of mine that makes me want to drink it. So, what do you think?" Neil didn’t explain much, if his body wasn’t craving her blood so much he wouldn’t have even revealed this.
But this is not reality, he could taste and enjoy yet it won’t really give him any benefit in reality.
"Alright, and if you lose, you will have to leave your race and come to mine." She said.
"...Okay, deal."
The two shook hands, both with plans of their own. Although Neil had made the deal, he didn’t know his luck was about to shine.
They chatted for a while longer, Cinthia also gave him some news about the outside world.
All sorts of events were happening on the Zoratian planet, Neil could have participated in them but he was locked up.
Cinthia was really surprised by his growth, she couldn’t wait to test his strength out.
Finally, Neil bid her farewell, as his teacher for the first time in weeks returned to her domain early.
Right as she returned, the guards noticed her presence and came to report quickly.
"Queen, there are envoys from the werewolf race, they have been waiting outside."
"Again? Sigh, didn’t I reject them previously? Do they think I would change my mind if they keep bothering me? Ask them to leave."
Cinthia frowned, her good mood was being spoiled by them.
"Um Queen, they said they have come here to discuss something important. It is related to exploration of the lost Elven city." The female guard added, her voice full of shock.
