Evolution Online: Building a Kingdom with 100\% drop rate-Chapter 19: Ch-: Cleaning up the house
"Rumors already spread?" Victor mumbled with a frown. Honestly, he had planned to delay the rumors, but he did not expect that due to summoning citizens and knights, the rumors would spread so quickly. He expected that after he went to hunt monsters it would gradually spread, and he had no intention of hiding the fact that he was a warlock, as it had more benefits than disadvantages.
For example, using his reputation he could make more people migrate to his territory, and he could raise a powerful army.
"Well, let’s check the Mech Shop to see if there are some good defensive building blueprints I can find... I am sure I saw many non-mech related items," Victor mumbled as he opened the Mech Shop. His territory, except for a few soldiers, had no proper defenses.
Most other territories of Dukes and Barons at least had some modern technological defenses similar to those back on Earth. Even though they were not very effective against monsters who wielded mana, they could still deal with Tier 0 monsters and delay Tier 1 monsters before soldiers arrived.
----------- Mech Shop
Automatic Turtle Shell Defensive System (Bundle)
Magic Forcefield: An invisible dome made of pure mana which covers the territory and can defend against attacks up to Tier 3 enemies.
Magic Missiles: Hidden launchers release hundreds of missiles imbued with mana, and each missile can easily destroy a cluster of Tier 3 troops upon impact and destroy rare-rank defensive items.
Area Covered: 100 km²
Items Required for Construction: Locked
System Description: This system can easily defend against enemies within Tier 4 as long as the generator is fed with enough monster cores for power.
Cost: 1 million experience points
Rank: Epic
------------
Hiss!
Victor sucked in a cold breath as he read the description of the defensive system and thought, "Even though it costs a million experience points just to buy the blueprints... it’s completely worth it."
Victor knew most kingdoms didn’t even have a defensive system and relied on troops, as most modern defensive systems were useless unless they were built by non-humans who might possess a Magic Mechanic Bloodline to create a powerful automatic defensive system like the one he had just seen.

[100% Drop Rate Skill has been updated]
[Shared Drop: If a resident in your territory kills a monster, then excluding the drops the person gets, the rest of the drop is transferred to your inventory]
"Oh!" Victor’s eyes lit up when he saw this, and he could immediately see the massive advantage.
"After I rebuild the army, I should send them to kill monsters, but now..." Victor mumbled.
One hour later
"Young Master Victor, I have done exactly as you asked," Edward entered the room with blood smeared on his knuckles and informed him.
"Good, I will personally clean the rats," Victor said in a cold voice as he got up from the chair and exited the room.
Victor then went to the courtyard where more than two dozen men and women were chained together with guards watching over them. These were people who had committed various crimes—from stealing and murder—and some of them were spies as well.
Victor used Eyes of Truth and Fate, and his eyes turned cold when he saw that all the spies were affiliated with the same place.
[Light Barony Spy, Level 9]
[Light Barony Spy, Level 7]
What made him angry was not that they were spies, but what they had been tasked to do.
[Light Barony Spy, Level 7]
[Description: Under the order of Baron Mike Light, they had been observing Victor Silvernum and aided the Black Church in kidnapping him.]
"That bastard," Victor frowned as his fists clenched. Mike Light was his uncle and the husband of his biological aunt. He remembered from the memories of his new identity that he always wore a very amiable face when talking to them, but he did not expect him to backstab him.
"It’s good I have this pupil skill, or else I would become paranoid," Victor mumbled.
In the Kingdom of Eindrik, when a lord dies or disappears, the title typically passes to the nearest relative. But if no relative is present or capable of assuming the role, the neighboring lord has the right to step in and take control. So if Victor died, his uncle—through his cousin—would take his lands.
"Why are you doing this, my lord? You can’t just treat us like this! We have rights when we surrender!" one of the captives shouted.
"Edward, why don’t you tell them?" Victor said with a cold smirk.
"Of course," Edward stepped forward and waved, and the guards brought chests. When they opened them, the men who were protesting turned pale.
Inside were letters, insane amounts of gold for servants, and evidence which directly linked them to being spies and to Victor’s kidnapping.
"Edward, read their crimes and execute them," Victor said as he casually took a seat.
"Of course, Young Master," Edward said as he brought them one by one to the gallows and severed their heads. After a few seconds, heads rolled across the ground when Victor raised his hand and said, "Stop. I will personally execute them."
"Everyone, these people who are left have committed severe crimes. They had colluded with the Black Church and had me kidnapped. I was lucky enough to escape..." Victor said.
"What? These bastards!"
"The Black Church, the number one criminal organization!"
"Off with their heads!"
This time the reaction was much extreme, as the Black Church had caused numerous terrorist attacks and kidnapped people to brainwash them into joining their organization. Many families had been affected over the years.
Victor watched as Edward brought one of the captives who was sobbing and begging for mercy.
Victor gave no warning—he simply moved his sword and crushed the man’s neck, his head rolling away.
"Next," Victor said as Edward brought another person before him.
"You damned bastard!" the man shouted, yelling, while Victor gave him a mocking glance. He was placed against the block, and once again Victor swung the sword, severing his head.
"Next!" Victor shouted again.
The others looked on at the pile of heads growing before the block, some even falling off the platform for lack of space—Victor had to kick a few aside, unable to move without stepping on a severed head. They were looking at him with respect and fear. He kept going until he reached the last person, who was looking at him with a pale face.
’To think the young master has grown... ’Edward thought silently. ’He’s becoming just like the old Lord...’
Victor looked at the invisible black thread above the spy’s head and checked the fate information.
[Fate Information: The leader of the spies was going to try poisoning the heir of the Silvernum Barony, Victor Silvernum, under the orders of Baron Mike Light, and escape today, but would get caught by the heir Victor.]
"Heh, well I have a different punishment for you," Victor mumbled under his breath and then looked over his own head, which had a black thread that had turned into gold.
[Fate Information: A servant of the Light Barony was going to poison you, and due to your bloodline you would have survived the attempt, but you would have been in a coma for a month. However, thanks to your skill, you have managed to alter this fate.]
"So you are the leader, and you even wanted to poison me today, huh?" Victor said, and the man looked at him with disbelieving eyes and stuttered, "How did you...?"
Victor looked at Edward, who was radiating killing intent as he glared at the man. "Edward, do we have a more painful way to kill him? I think the leader should get a different treatment."
Edward’s eyes sparked and he nodded. "Yes, the Old Lord kept a few monsters in the basement. Sometimes, people who committed severe crimes would be fed to the beasts alive."
"Not bad. Go bring them here," Victor said, while the man broke out in a cold sweat and his legs trembled.
Grrr
After a while, Edward brought a large cage which held humanoid monsters with sharp teeth.
"Toss him inside," Edward said as a few guards hauled the man and dragged him toward the cage.
"No, no, no, don’t! Forgive me!" They ignored his screams and tossed him inside with his hands and legs bound together, leaving him unable to move.
Under his terrified and panicked gaze, a monster reached forward and grabbed his head before taking a sharp bite into his face.
"Aaargh!!! It hurts!!! It hurts so much!"
Another monster knelt down beside him and bit onto his arm, tearing off a large chunk of flesh in the process.
"Help me! I’m sorry for what I did, Young Lord! Please spare me!"
A third monster latched onto his other arm and began to eat his hand, tearing off two fingers with a single bite.
His screams stopped when another monster came and tore into his neck. The onlookers gulped and swallowed a mouthful of saliva as they looked at Victor with terrified eyes, and those who had doubted whether Victor could handle the responsibility of the Barony had their doubts melt away.
In fact, Victor watched as many of their loyalty crossed the 90 threshold with satisfaction. This was why he held the trial of traitors publicly and with his own hands.
