Evolution Online: Building a Kingdom with 100\% drop rate-Chapter 11: Ch-: Players Gather
As Victor entered, he was met with an entirely different sight. It was not even correct to call this a floor of a dungeon, as it seemed like a world by itself. There was a huge expanse of trees all around him, and on the horizon a humongous castle was visible—this was [Loki’s Castle].
The castle was built in a medieval style and had a grand appearance that imposed itself upon all who gazed toward it.
Victor took a deep breath and walked further and entered the castle. As soon as he entered, he was greeted by large goblin statues. What made him frown was the message he was seeing in front of him.
[Ding Dong]
[A hidden quest has been initiated]
[Quest: Loki’s Assault]
[Description: Survive the wave of monsters that will attack]
[Reward: ???]
[Ding Dong]
[Detected insufficient number of players]
[Need 3 or 4 players to start the trial]
Victor’s eyebrows rose to his forehead as he read the description of the quest.
"How come there is a player limit, and why is the quest to survive a monster horde... and the name is also different?" Victor frowned as he looked at the description of the quest.
He had done this quest before his regression, and the quest was completely different.
Victor looked around with furrowed eyebrows. "Where the hell is the altar?"
He knew there should be an altar with a mannequin, and he was supposed to place the face mask he peeled from the grunt on it to complete the quest, and he would get the item he came for as the reward.
[Insufficient players detected for the Quest]
[Forcibly teleporting the strongest players nearby]
"Huh, forceful teleportation and the strongest ones," Victor mumbled, and then his eyes twitched as he thought of something. "Strongest, huh... aren’t those three the strongest?"
[Teleporting in 3...2...1]
Woosh.
Victor’s head snapped to the side as three figures suddenly appeared. The three people were Andrew, Rachel, and Olivia, who occupied the top three places on the leaderboards right after him.
"What just happened?" Rachel exclaimed as she felt dizzy.
"It seems we have been teleported to some kind of boss room," Andrew said as they started looking around. Olivia suddenly froze upon spotting him, and Victor could see her nerves tense.
"Olivia, what’s wrong?" Andrew frowned and then followed Olivia’s gaze.
Turning his head around toward the direction where Olivia was looking, he saw Victor staring at them, and his eyes met Victor’s.
Rachel reacted quickly as she took out her short swords and circulated her mana, following which a strong yellow hue started emanating from her body.
"Hey, did you bring us here?"
Just when Rachel was about to lunge at Victor, Andrew put his hand on her shoulder and stopped her.
"Don’t..."
"W-what!?"
Angrily turning around and pointing toward Victor, Rachel glared at Andrew and shouted, "You’re just going to stand here and do nothing?"
"Shut up, you hothead. How do you know that he is the one responsible? Even before asking, you are trying to attack him... have you forgotten what he did to that guy?" Olivia said in a cold voice.
"That..." Rachel was speechless. As she relaxed, she realized she was acting on impulse, and Olivia’s words doused the fire within her. When she remembered how casually he killed the player in front of everyone, she felt nervous.
Andrew cast a wary glance at Victor and stepped forward and asked in a polite voice, "Excuse me, can you tell me what’s going on here?"
Victor looked at Andrew and said in a calm voice, "I am not sure myself. While I was exploring, I came across a hidden path which appears to be a dungeon, and a quest got activated. The Akashic Record randomly teleported players here for the quest."
There was no way he was going to tell them that he already knew the location of the dungeon, so he lied about stumbling upon it, which would be far less suspicious.
Victor saw that they were not convinced and were still suspicious, so he pointed out, "If you don’t believe me, check your panels. It should have updated the quest."
All three of them frowned upon hearing Victor’s words and opened their panels to check, and their eyes widened.
"It’s true," Andrew mumbled with a frown on his face. He was about to press for more answers, but before he could, a notification appeared in front of everyone.
[Sufficient number of players has been reached]
[Condition for the Quest has been met]
[Special Rewards are being initiated for being selected]
"Huh?" Victor raised an eyebrow when he read the text.
Buzz
Before he could react, the space in front of him vibrated and an orb of light appeared, hovering in front of him.
Victor looked at the others, and they were also bewildered by the orbs hovering in front of them.
Victor reached out and grabbed the orb, which directly assimilated into his body.

Victor’s eyes bulged out when he read the description of the technique, and his breath became heavy. He quickly calmed himself down and looked at the others; their reactions were also intense. Even Olivia, the cold woman, showed a joyful expression on her face, and Rachel was practically drooling while looking at the screen.
[Trial Starting]
The moment the words appeared, everyone suddenly felt the ground shaking a little.
"Oh, fuck!" Rachel’s eyes widened in shock when she saw a black line suddenly appearing on the horizon and cursed out loud. The black line gradually grew larger and larger, and the earth shook harder and harder in response.
