In the morning, Leng Yichen and Bai Yiran were sitting at the dining table having breakfast. Bai Yiran was in a good mood, as she thought about signing the contract with Huamei International today. She felt excited because this was the first significant event she had handled since taking over the Bai Family business.

The TV was broadcasting the morning news. Bai Yiran had the habit of having breakfast while watching the morning news, a routine she developed over the years at her grandmother’s house. The first thing her grandmother did when she woke up was to turn on the TV, listening to the sounds while making breakfast, and then the whole family would sit together to watch the news and eat breakfast.

Over the years, if Bai Yiran didn’t tune into that specific channel to listen to the regular news in the morning, she would feel like something was missing, making her whole day less smooth.

Leng Yichen, with his long strides, walked to the other side of the car, opened the door for Bai Yiran, and gently helped her out. Bai Yiran could sense the attention from the onlookers around her. Though she wasn’t used to it at first, she had grown accustomed to it.

Leng Yichen held Bai Yiran’s hand as they walked to the building’s entrance. He lifted her head and pecked her on her little mouth, "I’ll leave Wang Hai with you."

"No," Bai Yiran shook her head, "You’ve already given Anna to me. It’s better for Brother Hai to stay by your side, as only he can handle some matters."

Leng Yichen pulled Bai Yiran into his arms. The public display of affection made Bai Yiran blush, gently pushing him away, "People are watching."

Knowing that Bai Yiran was thin-skinned, Leng Yichen released her and with a twinkle in his eyes that Bai Yiran couldn’t decipher, softly said, "Go on."

With that, Leng Yichen turned and walked away. Watching his retreating figure, Bai Yiran felt that there was something different about him today, but she couldn’t put her finger on what it was.
