Era of Magic and Martial Arts-Chapter 285 - 269: Battle
Screech!
It's that sharp crane shriek again, suddenly breaking the air.
A bone finger swept past the Peeping Tom like a ghost, carrying a faint sound of wind, similar to a dragonfly's wings silently gliding by.
Crane Claw Skill Second Form · Dragonfly Sweep.
The Peeping Tom quickly retracted his right arm, trying to block the sudden attack sideways.
However, as soon as his arm touched the bone finger, it felt as if struck by a massive hammer, knocked away by an incredible force.
Instinctively, he turned his hand to grip tightly, forcibly pulling the bone finger an inch away from his eyes.
Before he could catch his breath, another slightly dim bone finger shadow appeared in his view, vanishing like an illusion, too quick to believe.
"Another fake?"
The next instant, the Peeping Tom's face contorted, the intense and hollow pain in his right eye socket made him scream.
Blood gushed like a fountain from his eye socket, spraying across his cheeks, two slender red lines pulled out, snapped, and protruded from the eye orbit.
His left eye widened in fear, reflecting the dispersing finger shadow in its pupil.
An exquisitely clear, glass-like eyeball suspended mid-air, captured in its final moment.
Then, a crisp sound, the eyeball shattered, fragments scattering like raindrops.
[You used the Crane Claw Skill, triggering Limit-Breaking Skill · Void Claw.]
[Void Claw: When the plague beneath your claws manifests as a copied illusion, 30% chance of activation, limited to Crane Claw Skill.]
[ps: Void Claw activation has a delay of 0.3 seconds!]
As Feng Mu's retina flashed with a combat report, the Peeping Tom's retina didn't, hence the mixture of confusion and grievance in his screams.
He didn't understand; if those fleeting bone fingers in the air were real, then was the one tightly gripped in his hand merely an illusion?
Feng Mu did not intend to explain to the Peeping Tom, twisting his fingers, the bone joint automatically spinning, vicious spikes instantly piercing the Peeping Tom's palm, tearing away flesh.
The Peeping Tom, pained, let go, his right hand dripping with blood, as if caught in a meat grinder, revealing the modified metallic hand inside.
"This bone finger is real too? All real!!!" The Peeping Tom rasped, both eyes' electrical wires fixed deadly on [Mask].
"Are you asking me?"
Feng Mu replied not at all; some questions dead men don't need answered.
He sneered: "You have eyes, so see for yourself."
As Feng Mu sneered, his feet shifted position, weaving multiple times within a fraction, circling the Peeping Tom with a hazy white illusion.
The Peeping Tom's scalp tingled, hair standing on end, losing the dynamic capture ability of electronic eyes, his remaining flesh eye couldn't distinguish the authenticity and reality of these white shadows.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot you only have one eye, can't see clearly, then just die here."
Not knowing if it was an auditory hallucination, the Peeping Tom felt surrounded by the voice, seemingly splitting into dozens, and as the white shadows thickened, the voices gradually multiplied, combining into a chorus.
"Medicine Man? Ha—Old friend, this time you've really doomed me."
The Peeping Tom, panicked internally, continuously twisted his head, all he saw were white shadows, as if the entire world was enveloped in terrifying white.
No need to rely on mechanical implants, every cell in his body, every pore in his flesh could sense the increasingly dense death aura compressing the air.
"Not a modification, but an Evil Sacrifice, perhaps, really a top-notch Medicine Man, but unfortunately, it's not me devouring the Medicine Man, but the Medicine Man that shall devour me!!"
Realizing there was no escape, nowhere to hide, the Peeping Tom took a deep breath, his nostrils filled with omnipresent sinister killing intent.
The next moment, countless bone claws reached out from all directions, resembling a horror movie scene.
One bone claw faster than the next, more ferocious than the preceding, both illusory ghost shadows and real illusions, overlapping into a whirlwind of skin-peeling, bone-tearing death.
"Ha, I am done for, but kill me, and you'll never know who wished to harm you."
The Peeping Tom roared unwillingly, his muscles tautly bulging under his clothes, internal currents overloading, the broken steel bars of his foot harshly stabbing the ground, the other foot pushing off.
Suddenly, spinning like a top on his right foot, his arms dancing frantically, colliding and grinding with numerous bone claws. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Flesh splattered, sparks flew.
The clash of bone and metal, the ripping and tearing of claws and flesh, lasted for a full two minutes before the gale gradually subsided.
The Peeping Tom was left half-clothed, fabric scraps stained with blood, strewn on the ground.
Half his shoulder vanished, exposing snapped bones beneath which extended twisted steel bars, now broken.
His chest and back covered densely with claw marks, skin ripped and torn, hardly a piece of intact flesh left, vividly exposing mangled internal organs, bleeding out from the gashes.
Huffing and puffing—
His arms twisted revealing scorched electrical wires, his neck slashed immobile, head hanging helplessly, making a sound like a squeezed bellows, while his mouth spat black blood and oil with each breath.
The sinister white [Mask] stood opposite, looking down upon him, the exposed thorny white bones stained mottled black-red, like a devil's flower blooming in the night.
"Though not very beautiful, the life force indeed strengthened." The voice beneath [Mask] carried no warmth.
The next instant, blood covering the bones seemed absorbed like by a sponge, seeping deeply into the bone.
In two to three breaths, the bones self-cleansed, renewed, pure white as before.
The Peeping Tom rigidly maintained his posture, devoid of energy to express any emotions, his gaze locked forward, his mouth feebly curving in a desperate grimace, then spurting more thick black blood.
He watched as the monster in front retracted all bones into human skin, revealing again the guise of humanoid flesh.
Then, slowly shed the face [Mask], exposing an unabashed face to the air.
Feng Mu courteously crouched down, his gaze devoid of a carnivore's greed and terror, warm and level, he earnestly spoke:
"Your blood is somewhat tainted, I dislike it; but the nutrition within, I quite favor!"
The Peeping Tom eyed Feng Mu, mouth agape, speaking sprayed blood, voice distorted and unclear: "Stuck, still unwilling to become unstuck?"
