Entering Apocalypse in Easy-Mode-Chapter 503: Another Visit
Chapter 503: Another Visit
Asmodeus sat motionless in the dim light of his chamber, the shadows pooling at his feet like thick oil.
He had been thinking for so long he no longer knew how much time had passed. It didn’t matter because none of his thoughts brought him closer to a solution.
Bael’s traps were already set.
He had set Wards, detection spells, or whatever that anchors themselves to the every walls of the Hell realm.
Bael had made it clear he was using multiple powerful artifacts to support those spells. And Asmodeus knows that Bael only had powerful artifacts.
Asmodeus didn’t even need to look to know the realm was sealed tight with those spells. Every inch of magical space likely watched and traced.
There was no way to send a warning to Clyde. Not without tripping something and without drawing suspicion to himself.
He let out a slow tired sigh.
The power he had gotten from Clyde’s source still stirred within him, pulsing in quiet rhythm with his soul. It was unlike anything else he had ever touched.
It didn’t have an end just depth, as if it could grow with him, adapt with him, and respond if he reached far enough with enough time.
He could feel that potential like an ocean under his skin. He wanted more of it.
And that desire was stronger than loyalty to the other Demon Kings or his realm. Stronger than his pride. But now wasn’t the time.
If he made a move now and warned Clyde then it would exposed himself. He would die. He knew it.
Bael was too sharp, the others would also become bloodthirsty if they know he betrayed them. And he was not strong enough yet to survive if all of them come at oncec.
"I can’t do anything yet," Asmodeus muttered. "I just have to hope Clyde is ready."
His fingers curled into a fist.
"Maybe... if he survives... maybe then we can change the game."
But for now, he had to act like everyone else. If he didn’t mobilize his forces and looks hesitated even a little, Bael would see through him. He couldn’t afford that.
Asmodeus stood and walked toward the grand hall where his army awaited.
Fortunately, his soldiers had already begun preparing and understand his mind.
Their connection to the Ancient One’s power linked their minds loosely with his. They understood him now in a way they never had before. Not total mind control but something closer to shared instinct.
They had already begun acting on what they sensed he needed.
Minutes later, Asmodeus stood at the edge of a massive stone courtyard, surrounded by rows of his elite.
The generals were at the front. Each of theem clad in darkened armor etched with crimson runes.
The captains and lieutenants stood behind them in orderly ranks. The common soldiers continued training in their camps further behind.
He raised a hand and silence fell.
"I’ve gathered you here," he began, his voice firm and full of determination, "because the hunt is over."
He let that hang in the air a moment before continuing.
"Those two anomalies who’ve been creating chaos in our domains and hiding all this time have been found. Their sanctuary has been located. And soon, all the realms will move to crush them."
A low ripple of whispers moved through the ranks.
"We are not going to be left behind. Demon King Bael and the others are already preparing their legions. We will do the same."
He stepped forward, eyes scanning the crowd.
"This won’t be an easy war. The ones we’re going after has already fought us before and they’re stronger now. But we are not weak either! When the time comes, we will strike them without mercy!"
The soldiers stood straighter. The generals nodded.
"So prepare your divisions. Ready the formations. We will march soon and I want this army sharper than it’s ever been."
He turned and started walking away, then stopped and added one more thing without looking back.
He vanished into the shadows of his pakace, leaving the army to begin its grim preparations.
He still hoped that Clyde would survive what was coming. Because if he didn’t... the last gamble Asmodeus was holding onto would vanish with him.

Graemory sat alone in her private chamber, one leg slung lazily over the arm of her velvet chair. The lights were dim, her silk robes loose, and her fingers curled around a glass of deep red wine.
She brought it to her lips and drank in a slow motion draining it all in one go.
She let out a sigh.
The burn in her throat was welcome. Her mind was still heavy with anxiety but the worst part had passed. She had done what she could, her warning had reached Clyde.
And now... it was out of her hands.
Graemory leaned her head back, letting the coolness of the room wrap around her. Despite her stress she began to feel a little calmer. The tension in her shoulders loosened bit by bit with the wine already warming her blood.
But then she heard knocks at the door.
Her body tensed immediately. Her eyes narrowed.
She stood, adjusted her robe slightly, and walked to the door. When she opened it her heart skipped a beat.
Bael stood there, smiling. Seeing the smile make her skin crawl.
"My lord," Graemory said with calm voice and expression. "What brings you her?"
"Just wanted to visit," Bael said, stepping forward without waiting for permission.
Graemory stepped aside with a slight nod, hiding her wariness.
"Of course. Come in."
Bael glanced around her room as he entered, his expression relaxed but eyes sharp as ever. "This place of your is always nice."
"I try," Graemory said, pouring him a fresh glass of wine and handing it over. She poured herself another as well.
He took a sip, then looked at her with that ever-present smile. "You’ve heard the news, I assume?"
"About the anomalies? Yes," she said, swirling her wine slowly. "Quite the revelation and remarkable work from you, my lord."
"Mm. It’s only the beginning," Bael replied, eyes glinting. "The real hunt starts soon. I just came from giving my war orders."
"Of course. I’ve started preparing my divisions as well," Graemory said, matching his energy.
"Good. I always knew you were diligent," Bael said, chuckling softly.
Graemory forced a small smile, though her insides remained cold.
They talked briefly about the upcoming march, about formations and timelines, and the rallying of outer realms. Nothing too specific. Bael didn’t give her anything of strategic value and she didn’t ask.
But then, Bael said something that make Graemory jolt.
"Its all because of you. I should say that I thank you for your work."
