Chapter 149: Chapter 149: If Not for Her, Sienna and I Would Even Have a Child

Chloe’s heart was beating uneasily the whole way.

She didn’t know where Silas was taking her, nor did she know if Jett could come.

Silas glanced at her from the side, his voice calm and unperturbed.

"Claire Channing discovered my relationship with Sienna five years ago, and she sent people to follow us, taking many photos. She gave these photos to my father, making him furious, prompting him to confront Sienna. I don’t know what he said to her, but it must have been nasty. This incident also led to Sienna leaving me. So, I will definitely not let Claire Channing off the hook. If it weren’t for her, Sienna and I might have even had a child by now."

Hearing these words, Chloe’s knuckles gripping her phone turned pale.

This was indeed the doing of her biological mother.

Five years ago it was her; five years later it was still her.

Her intention was to make Sienna disappear so that the truth of her marriage and child would never be revealed.

Chloe’s face turned pale with hatred.

Seeing her like this, Silas asked her, "Aren’t you curious why Claire Channing did this?"

Chloe feigned calmness: "It’s for her daughter Stella Sterling."

Silas chuckled softly, "That’s just a small part. The most crucial reason is to hide her identity as a married woman with a child; that’s why she did this to Sienna, because Sienna was the daughter she once abandoned. Only when she’s gone will this secret remain undiscovered.

The matter with your parents is the same reason. Claire Channing wants to eliminate anyone who knows her true identity, even if it’s her own daughter."

Upon hearing this, Chloe’s hands shook, and the phone in her grasp fell to the ground.

Her heart seemed poised to leap from her throat.

How did Silas uncover this?

As she pondered in bewilderment, Silas took a photo from his pocket and handed it to her.

"I found this photo at Sienna’s home; the person in the photo is Claire Channing."

Seeing the photo, Chloe’s expression faltered.

This was the only family photo of their household.

She often hugged this photo as she slept, dreaming of her mother’s return, imagining their happy life together.

Later, the photo disappeared.

Her feelings towards her mother gradually shifted from anticipation to hatred.

She never imagined Silas would find this photo.

Chloe forcefully hid all her emotions, her tone calm: "Sienna’s birth mother is named Iris, how can you be sure these two are one and the same?"

Silas smirked slightly: "How do you know Sienna’s birth mother is called Iris?"

"Didn’t my mom say? Iris married a policeman and had a daughter, isn’t that Sienna?"

Silas looked at her, "You’re quite clever; Sienna’s birth mother is indeed named Iris. How she became Claire Channing remains unknown. If Sienna were here, a paternity test with Claire Channing would clear everything up." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Chloe’s heart slowly relaxed again.

Apparently, Silas had yet to discover that she was Sienna.

They drove for over an hour and arrived at a mountaintop villa.

In the basement, Chloe saw Claire Channing, tied to a pillar, her once elegant makeup now a mess.

Seeing this, Chloe’s emotions were mixed.

She harbored too much hatred toward this woman.

If not for the need to conceal her identity as Sienna, she’d want to confront her, asking why she was so heartless.

Abandoning her was bad enough, yet she sought to utterly destroy her.

Silas gently patted Chloe’s shoulder, "Don’t worry, we can see her, but she can’t see us. You sit here and wait; I’ll interrogate her and make sure she confesses."

With that, he opened the door and stepped out.

He strolled over to Claire Channing, his once gentle face now showing a hint of menace.

"Shall I call you Mrs. Sterling, or Mrs. Paxton, Madam Iris?"

His words, embodying three identities, left Claire Channing momentarily stunned.

She stared at Silas in disbelief, "What are you saying, I don’t understand."

Silas sneered, "Not understanding is easy to fix; I’ll have you meet someone, and everything will become clear to you soon enough."
