Enchanting His Heart: His Little Fox-Chapter 74: Can I?
The warmth of the man’s palm spread along her wrist, burning and intense.
Song Yi looked into his slightly upturned almond eyes, seemingly intoxicated, with a lazy smile that made her heart flutter. Those eyes were so deep, they seemed to draw her in completely.
She swallowed and just stared into his eyes, unconsciously saying, "Can I?"
Can I become... that beauty by your side?
For the first time, she felt unsure, a bit lacking in confidence.
"Swipe—" The paper in her hand was suddenly snatched away. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Her wrist was also released.
This action of his instantly peeled away her enchanted thoughts, bringing her back to reality.
She only saw him with one hand tucked in his pants pocket and the other holding the report she was about to submit.
"Young girls, where do you get all these grand life philosophies?" He stared at the report, half of his face obscured, only his eyes looking down at the report visible, with amusement. His tone was lazy and indifferent: "What use is it to capture a fleeting moment of beauty? It will always disappear."
He raised his eyebrows, his gaze falling on her face: "To be happy for a while and then fall out of that happiness is the most painful."
Losing something like that is the most painful.
As he spoke, he waved the report in his hand, a smile on his lips: "This I can sign."
"But I despise people who back down; once you make a choice, why not stick to it?"
If you made your choice, why retreat?
Song Yi looked at him, suddenly jumped up, snatched the report back, and tore it to pieces right in front of Tang Si: "I changed my mind. I don’t want to leave now."
"Yo." Tang Si looked at her, raising an eyebrow: "Impressive, President Song."
His words were casual, rogue and lazy, making a person’s heart particularly flutter.
In this moment, it seemed as if his rejection from last night evaporated, as if nothing had ever happened.
Song Yi’s lips slowly curved up, she raised her hand, letting the fragments scatter in front of Tang Si, through the shredded paper, revealing her radiant smile: "Captain Tang, your way of rejecting people is not high-class at all, claiming to have a girlfriend when you don’t."
Tang Si’s expression didn’t change as he frowned slightly, not speaking.
She continued, "I’ll teach you, next time someone asks if you have a girlfriend, you should say not yet, that implies one is on the way."
As she spoke, she patted Tang Si on the shoulder: "From now on, I’m going to call you future boyfriend."
And then she added with mock fierceness: "If you don’t agree, I’ll smash your head with a beer bottle."
Tang Si looked at her, his smile faint, she seemed like a cockroach that couldn’t be beaten down.
Once swept away by overwhelming emotions, she would brightly appear in front of him again.
Like strong glue, sticking persistently.
He parted his lips lightly, responding playfully: "Might as well say use my head to break the beer bottle."
Song Yi instantly covered her mouth, eyes filled with horror: "Oh my God, what did your dog do wrong for you to treat it like this? You pervert, you have no love for little animals."
Then, she feigned fear and turned to run away.
Tang Si watched her back until she disappeared, then turned back, his sharp gaze falling on the office door, and then at the scattered report fragments on the ground.
The smile on his lips gradually faded away.
He had an inkling in his heart.
She probably came to submit the report, but heard something that made her change her mind.
