CHAPTER 301

"Fine," Xiao Xin agreed firmly.

"Good. I will call you back in two minutes. I hope your heart can handle the shock," Gao Yuemi informed.

She did not give Liu Xiao Xin a chance to react before ending the call.

Not being one for schemes, Liu Xiao Xin sluggishly tapped on her phone screen and went to the said message box.

Upon opening it, she saw about ten pictures and a short video clip of Andromeda.

They were pictures of her and Ye Yuan going about in the resort in search of Liu Xueyi.

Even down to when she ran and the paparazzi made sure to take the shots in such a way as to start rumours and gossip.

Every angle from which the photographs were taken gave an imposing feel.

It made things seem like Andromeda was busy having fun and flirting in some given instance.

Sighing at the pictures, Liu Xiao Xin shook her head.

She did not want to give Gao Yuemi the time or chance to call her back and speak nonsense to her first.

Instead, she took matters into her hands and placed a call through to her first.

"Yes. Is that why you called me this afternoon Gao Yuemi?" Liu Xiao Xin's demanding voice rang out.

"Ia"

"Save it," she interrupted brashly.

"Xiao..."

"Not another word from you, Yuemi. I am tired of listening to your bullshit."

"Xiao Xin!" 𝘧𝓇𝒆𝗲𝓌𝙚𝙗𝓷o𝘷𝒆𝘭.𝐜𝚘𝒎

"I thought I clearly stated, not another word from you, Gao Yuemi?" She gave a slight pause, preventing Gao Yuemi from breaking her words.

Just as she was well informed, she was not Liu's heir but her cunningness made up for things she was not interested in or those she wasn't given due to birthright.

Without being told, Gao Yuemi knew she could get her in some serious trouble if she willed it.

And rather than ruining her one chance at getting back at Andromeda, she chose to behave.

"Good. I thought as much. Now," she began slowly.

"Do you think such slanderous pictures would mean something to me, Gao Yuemi?" Liu Xiao Xin questioned.

Even the way she arched her brows while wearing a pained and angry smile, spoke of her reaching her limit.

It was hard for the Liu Princess to get angry as her face was filled with smiles mostly when people saw her.

However, underneath that smiling face was a dangerous beast ready to break loose.

"Do you take me and the Liu family for a fool that you would send me such useless pictures?!" she hollered in anger.

"Xiao..." she gulped hard. "Xin."

She had expected a different reaction but indeed she got her anger alright but not for Andromeda but for her.

"Did you for once think that should the Liu family need or want any information, we cannot get it ourselves and much faster than anyone? Is it then a simple false scandal that you feel I do not know about?"

At this point, the words she threw at Gao Yuemi became too hard, and harsh and she did not care.

"You think sending me this video and pictures would get you in my good book or what?"

"No. Xiao Xin, I would never do that."

"Lies. Are there any true words residing deep in your heart and outlining the corners of your lips?" she questioned sarcastically.

"Xiao Xin watch your manners."

"My manners? Oh my! I never knew the devil was aware of manners and what character is like."

"How dare you," Go Yuemi spat out.

"How dare you," Liu Xiao Xin fired back. "Do you think trying to ruin Andromeda's image would give you a chance with Xueyi? Well let me burst your bubble, it won't." ƒ𝘳𝗲𝑒𝒘𝐞𝚋𝚗𝐨v𝘦l.𝒄o𝐦

'I..."

"Also, I informed brother of how much of a bully and a liar you can be. He would not want to ever consider you someday."

"No.," Gao Yuemi lamented with her eyes darting from left to right in her eye sockets while her brain tried to wrap around the rejection.

"Yes. Who did you think took down that mindless gossip? It was the Liu family. So do not come here acting like a saint whereas all you have been exposed to has been a snake, chameleon."

"That does not give you the right to insult me, Xiao Xin. Know your place and respect your situation."

"Respect goes both ways. And since you covet his love, I doubt there would be any more hope for you when I inform him of what you just did."

Her lips pulled back revealing a mischievous grin on her face.

"Oh, and mind you, I already saved the pictures and videos. You cannot delete them, Gao Yuemi. Just come out clean. You have been caught."

"Xiao Xin, do not do this."

"Why? You were eager about ruining Andromeda's image." For more chapters, please visit

"That was because she isn't a good match for your brother," Gao Yuemi explained.

"And you are? Tsk. Stop wasting my time Yuemi. Better let go of your obsession with my brother and let this be the last of its kind. Do I make myself clear?"

Gao Yuemi did not get a chance to explain anything before she heard the sound of the call being caught.

Pulling her phone from her ear she thought to check if truly the call had ended and it was. When she saw the call had indeed been cut, she felt a stab straight through her heart.

She had felt that by ruining Andromeda's image before Liu Xiao Xin, she would be disgusted and join her in pulling them apart.

What she had not calculated was the fact that the Liu family was highly informed and very capable.

Even words from a normal person's lips or the most influential being, the Liu family heard it.

Which was why it was much easier to see through the ploy and get back at their enemies.

"Xiao Xin, you have disgraced me. I won't forget this," Gao Yuemi promised with a clenched fist.

Meanwhile, Liu Xiao Xin could not be happier she ended that conversation and with it such an episode.

If Liu Xueyi had no issues with what happened, besides knowing how Ye Yuan helped them back at the mall, she knew it was purely a friendly meeting but sure trust the paparazzi to do a fine job.

"So brother cannot have even a single peace of mind in his relationship? Tsk leeches everywhere," she eyes her phone screen.

Slowly she let the device fall to the bed and shook her head.

"Good riddance," Liu Xiao Xin added with disgust laced in her tone.

By the time Andromeda and Liu Xueyi returned from their vacation, several things had gone down for them to carry on with their life.

He needed Andromeda to prepare for the kind of war they were going to face and she did.

Time was of the essence with everything but even a war against Wu Bai did not save Andromeda and Liu Xueyi from the hands of Liu's lady of the house, his mother.

As soon as she heard about their arrival, she was quick to place a call to her son.

"Xueyi!" She exclaimed into the phone.

"Hello, mother. Good afternoon."

"Afternoon, how was your journey?"

"Easy and good, I thank God for that."

"Perfect. And how is Andromeda?"

"She's here. Andy," he pulled Andromeda closer to his side so she could join in on the conversation.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Liu."

"Afternoon darling. How are you?"

"Fine. I trust you are well?"

"Yes. At the very least now that I heard from you two, my health would pick up."

"Mum, what's wrong with your health?" Liu Xueyi inquired.

He did not mind pulling the attention back to himself or in this case his mother.

Anything about her health was paramount. Just from that action, however, Andromeda could see how caring he was and how genuinely kind.

Wanting to ease his mind, she placed a hand over his and rubbed gently on it in a rather soothing manner.

"Ma'am, please what is wrong? I hope it isn't that serious," Andromeda voiced lightly.

She was hoping to ease up the tension in the room but still, Liu Xueyi's grip on the phone told her it wasn't easing up.

"It is so great to find you care, my son," Mrs. Liu informed them.

She breathed out calmly while accessing the situation over the phone.

It wasn't every time she got to hear from Liu Xueyi and now that she did, she knew her loving son was still in there.

"Mum, that's not fair."

"Learn to take a joke son," she mused. "Andromeda I am fine, thank you. I am just happy to hear from you two."

"You sure?"

Andromeda's brows drew closer. She could not say if or not she should believe that, considering the son wasn't.

"Very. I am just thrilled that I would be meeting you soon."

"Ah, yes. Yes. The dinner."

"Don't tell me your vacation with my son made you forget, Andromeda?"

"I huh," she gulped visibly, earning a pleased and eased-up smile from Liu Xueyi.

Although it wasn't the smile that was charmingly satisfying, it was the fact that the creases on his brows relaxed from his mother's words.

"I'm glad you have calmed down," she whispered close to his ear and smiled.

"Andromeda?"

"Yes ma'am!"
