Elf Kingdom: Game of the World Tree-Chapter 1251 - 810: Old John’s Astonishment
The two Elves stand together, their beautiful robes and stunning appearance making them look as if they had stepped out of a fairy tale.
However, if one looks closely, they will find slight differences between them.
Even though identifying the features of the Elf Clan is somewhat challenging for a Human like Old John, he can sense the distinct aura emanating from the Elves.
The elf with pink hair is somewhat shorter, with a sweet appearance, exuding vitality, whereas the other Druid with golden hair like Lady Dongdong conveys a noble aura of one in an eminent position.
The female Elf Druid may not seem as striking as Lady Dongdong, nor as adorable as the Elf Mage, yet once inadvertently observed, she draws a gaze that cannot be averted.
She is the kind that becomes more appealing with each look.
Moreover, every gesture she makes exudes a sense of elegance, more like nobility than adventurer.
Perhaps noticing Old John’s gaze, the Elf Druid glances his way, her emerald eyes resembling a deep pool, seemingly carrying a unique magic that would draw one to succumb within.
She smiles gently, offering a friendly smile, and in that moment, Old John feels as though the world brightened incrementally.
However, his heart did not birth any emotion akin to admiration; rather, inexplicably, it fostered a slight sense of restraint.
"Miao Miao, Ms. Feng, he’s the miner who saw the Golden Dragon, named John, everyone calls him Old John."
Lady Dongdong introduces the two new elves.
For a moment, Old John becomes the focus on the scene, under the gaze of the Elves, causing him to feel increasingly uneasy.
The Elves are simply too perfect.
Standing alongside them, Old John feels pressure even greater than facing nobility.
Yet, in contrast to noble presence inciting only awe and trepidation, before the Elves he feels a deep-seated inadequacy.
For the first time, he, who typically acts carefree, experiences a sense of inferiority.
Until the female Druid gently nods at him, and warmly introduces herself:
"Hello, Mr. John, I am Feng."
Her voice is tender and melodious, carrying an unusual force, instantly dispelling Old John’s inner unease.
"I am Little Xian Miao."
The Elf Mage also says with a bright smile.
"Hello! Hello! Mr. Feng, Little Xian Miao!"
Old John quickly bows his head.
After a while, five more Elves from various parts of the city arrive, joining the group, all male.
There are too many names, and the translation from Elf language to Segis World language is rather awkward, so Old John doesn’t remember them all, only recalling names like "Tomato Fried Tomato," "Transforming Ji Gang," "Ah Can," and so on...
Including the previous Elves, there are a total of ten.
Standing together, they are superbly equipped and outstandingly looking, attracting many curious looks from newcomers; Old John even sees the normally lofty security team begin to linger nearby.
It’s understandable; this sudden arrival of so many Elves in the city, obviously powerful, is bound to draw attention.
Yet, no one dares to approach and disturb the Elves.
Their aura is simply too formidable.
This is when Old John feels less anxious, especially noting the curious gaze from people regarding his staying close to the Elves.
Old John even sees an adventurer who had bullied him in the past, casting a surprised gaze his way.
And when the Elves warmly converse with him, Old John’s peripheral vision notices that surprise turn into shock.
This brings Old John a slight feeling of delight, as if being with the Elves even changes him.
Having contact with the Elves, this experience, is enough to boast about for a lifetime.
Even in the tavern, speaking of this will earn him respect.
After all, although the reputation of the Elf Clan has fluctuated recently, there is still an ancient saying that is widely circulating in the Segis World—
Only those with noble qualities will earn the recognition of the Elf Clan.
Even if... only Old John himself knows, the Elves simply want him to be a guide.
Besides Dongdong, Li Mu, and Demacia, who first knew Old John, the other Elves seemingly already know about him, making Old John both flattered and curious.
Clearly, he hasn’t formally introduced his affairs to the other Elves.
This also includes matters of the mine.
The feeling is like when Old John introduced the mine to the three Elves of Demacia, the other Elves received the information similarly.
Magic? Or a unique ability of the Elf Clan?
Old John’s heart is truly curious, and along with it, he increasingly senses the mystery of the Elves.
Mysterious and noble beings always command awe.
"Now that everyone is here, shall we head to the mine?"
Feng, the Elf Druid, gently suggests.
Receiving unanimous agreement.
And it’s only then that Old John realizes the Elves subtly revered Feng the Druid as their leader.
Prompting Old John to speculate on what sort of status this person holds among the Elf Clan.
