Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife-Chapter 951 - 989: Pleading for Mercy
"Father, are you really leaving?" Mabel Quinn was taken aback.
"Actually, Kyle’s punishment for me is already considered light. Moreover, as long as I do this, Alice and my wife will be safe." Mr. Conley murmured, "Two lives in exchange for a conclusion like this, I still can’t entirely redeem my sins."
"Father, why don’t you wait a little longer? I’ll try persuading Kyle again. Maybe there’s a chance for a turnaround," Mabel suggested.
Mr. Conley hesitated; was there really a chance for a turnaround?
If there truly was a chance, it would only be possible if Kyle Kinston were willing to forgive him. But... to earn someone’s forgiveness is incredibly difficult, and he didn’t even have the right to be forgiven!

When Mabel Quinn returned to Kyle’s mansion, Kyle was sitting in the living room, watching animations on the TV. For a moment, Mabel almost thought Kyle had a fever again, reverting to the mindset of a 5 or 6-year-old.
Until he turned his head to her and said, "You’re back, huh? The cook is already preparing dinner; it’ll be ready soon."
"Are you... Kyle?" she asked hesitantly.
He smiled faintly, "Who else would I be?"
Seeing such a smile and hearing that tone of voice, it seemed Kyle was in his normal state. "But why did you suddenly think of watching animations?"
"I used to want to watch, but hardly got the chance. Now that I can, I almost never do." Kyle said blandly, "Today, I came back early, so I watched for a bit. But the animations from my childhood can’t be found anymore."
Thinking of his childhood experiences, Mabel felt another pang in her heart.
"Today... I went to see Mr. Conley," she said, slightly pursing her lips.
"Is that so?" He seemed unsurprised, his expression calm, as if he had already predicted she would seek out Mr. Conley.
"He said your mother loved your father. One day, your mother thought he was asleep and confessed her love for him at his sickbed." She spoke. They had both speculated about whether his mother had loved his father, and now, finally, there was an answer.
His eyelashes trembled slightly as he stared blankly at the television screen.
"Kyle, actually Mr. Conley is also very guilt-ridden and remorseful. Everything that happened back then was also painful for him." she said.
He slowly turned his head, his gaze landing on her face, "So now you plan to plead for him again, huh?"
She hesitated; his icy gaze made her heart shiver.
"I want to plead for him. Can’t we opt for a different punishment? He’s been regretting all along. Would truly isolating him from his wife and daughter, leaving him to grow old alone, really ease your resentment? Truly make you happy? Help you move past the shadow of your parents?" she asked, feeling for him as well. When he made this decision regarding Mr. Conley, wasn’t it because he himself couldn’t move past the past?
"Enough!" He suddenly stood up, grabbed the remote, and turned off the TV screen. Then he instructed the servant still in the room, "All of you, get out!"
Suddenly, the servants all filed out. The mansion fell silent, leaving only the two of them.
"Mabel, I already said last night, don’t plead for this person. If not for the sake of Alice Conley and our friendship, even if his family were to fall apart, it wouldn’t be regrettable. Do you want me to see his family enjoying happiness while my parents lie in the cold ground?" he questioned.
