At this moment, Alice Conley’s father and mother were approaching with a lunchbox. Upon seeing Kyle Kinston, they quickly greeted him, "Mr. Kinston, you came with Mabel to visit Alice again. Please, come in and have a seat."

"Hey, Dorian, you ran into mom and dad outside..." Alice started, but before she could finish, Dorian bent down, opened his arms, and embraced her.

"Dorian, um, why don’t you peel another apple for me?" Alice said.

But Dorian continued to hold her, burying his head in the nook of her neck, murmuring hoarsely, "Alice, I love you..." Being loved by her and loving her, wasn’t this a blessing from the heavens?

Alice’s face flushed red instantly, fumbling for words, "You... why so suddenly..."

"I was too foolish, too silly, tormenting myself without reason. Luckily, it’s not too late for everything." Dorian murmured, "In the future, no matter what happens, I will trust you, no more doubts."

Alice was taken aback, then seemed to understand, naturally curving her lips into a smile. Her hands embraced him back, feeling an unprecedented sense of relief.

And everyone else in the ward, looking at the embracing couple, felt unwilling to interrupt this moment.

After a long while, Dorian finally let go and straightened up.

Alice snapped back to reality, giving everyone an awkward smile, her cheeks blushing. Even for someone as thick-skinned as her, it was a bit overwhelming.

"No problem, Mabel and I will definitely come," Kyle Kinston said.
