Her voice, like the most melodious music, reached his ears. He breathed a huge sigh of relief and suddenly burst into laughter, "Haha... You’re willing to marry me... you really are? Alice, do you know how much I’ve longed to hear you say that?"

Rumors even surfaced about her faking her education, having only attended a mediocre university abroad. There were also allegations that her father’s business wasn’t clean, possibly involving illegal practices.

All this began to fill Indigo Quigley with fear.
