Dungeon Raider System-Chapter 747: Tribute Part 2
Had Uriel been present he would have likely facepalmed at Luna's naivety as confronting the person who wanted to lead them to a trap was completely useless and the only thing she accomplished with that would be to let him know she was aware of his obscure intentions.
'No one in their same minds would admit to it.' Bella thought inwardly as she facepalmed in Uriel's stead.
"That is correct," Captain Roberts shrugged with a smirk. "but it's too late now. We're already here."
"Captain Roberts, I'm detaining you for your intention to commit a crime. This ship is now under our control. Make a move and your entire crew will be wiped out."
"It doesn't matter, it's too late now. Even if you can pilot a zeppelin, it will take you at least an entire day to put the engine back together. Yes, we sabotaged our own engine and there's nothing you can do about it." Hazel said, but Luna kept her in place.
"Wait, uhm... I need more information." She whispered.
"Why? Why would you do something like that!?" Alice cried.
"For money, of course." The captain shrugged dismissively.
"So you encountered a cryptid capable of communicating and of planing ahead. It must be at least at the horror level." Luna muttered.
"Horror? It's not a horror, it's the most beautiful thing. You see, it lives underwater which means it has access to all the marvelous treasures in the depths and it's willing to give them to me as long as I bring more people." Captain Roberts laughed a toothy laugh, his eyes open wide and brimming with malice.
"No wonder you were looking for so many hunters, but it doesn't matter. All I have to do is kill you and-" Bella scoffed then started to feel drowsy until she could barely keep her eyes open and eventually fell asleep mid sentence.
"That is why I told you we shouldn't attack." Luna said.
"What is the meaning of this!?" Hazel demanded.
"It's simple, really. Those who fall asleep enter his domain and everyone who attempts to fight against those with its protection will also fall asleep. It means we are the only ones capable of inflicting any damage. You can all despair now, come on! I want to see the faces you make when you realize you will die and there's nothing you can do about it." Roberts said and the first mate added.
"The crew can't wait to have their fun with you all. A sleeping bitch is also a bitch after all."
"Interesting..." Luna nodded.
"Miss Luna, please tell me you have a plan." Hazel directed her gaze towards the tiny huntress, though the pleading expression softened her usually sharp eyes.
"No, we should just wait." Luna said.
"Ha, ha, ha! That is unexpected. They usually cry and beg. It's a shame really, I was looking forward for the things you were willing to do for us to set you free, but all I really care about is the gold." The man said.
Luna turned to leave the crowded bridge pushing past her allies and enemies alike while also ignoring the now maniacal laughter displayed on the captain's face.
"How can you be so calm when he just said we're going to be abused and killed!?" Alice cried.
"Not necessarily in that order!" The captain said jokingly and his crew started laughing incited by Alice's fear. The Defender with the telekinetic trait attempted to kill the captain with his trait without taking into account that he was a heavenly rank hunter.
But that didn't make a difference as he fell asleep before he even channeled enough flux energy, then all but the crew members started to yawn prompting Hazel to drag those who fell asleep to the dormitory following Luna.
"I agree that remaining calm is the best option, but are you really not worried?" Hazel asked while she barricaded the entrance to make it more difficult for enemies to break inside.
"Of course not. This is a waiting game. We can't afford to fall asleep which means we can't be hostile towards them, but the same applies to them because cryptids prefer to feed upon humans who fulfill certain conditions. Especially entity and horror level cryptids, they're picky eaters.
Besides, if what he said is true, then the cryptid must me inside their dreams and that means it already lost." Luna said and fell asleep in a matter of seconds, followed soon after by most of the hunters leaving only Hazel and Alice to hold the door.
It wasn't long until the crew members started banging at the door shouting all sorts of obscenities, but neither Hazel nor Alice replied in any manner as they were already feeling sleepy.
"This is unreal." Hazel yawned as the the door trembled under the pressure until the captain put an end to it with a loud shout.
"What the hell are you morons doing!? This is our ship you dumbshits!"
Alice cried inconsolably as reality hit her once she noticed everyone but her had fallen asleep and she could barely keep her eyes open anymore. She focused on her trait attempting to see what the future brought and she managed to see the one minute in the future.
Not that it made her feel any better as the only thing she saw was darkness. In less than one minute time she, the last one awake, would lose the fight against the somnolence leaving everyone defenseless against the ill intended crew.
When the minute was up and it turned out to be true, the crew members of the Sparrow opened the door without opposition and made their way inside the dormitory. The first mate was the first to step in, unsure of who to abuse first.
His eyes roamed around the room passing through the blonds up to the brunettes as a lustful glare erupted from his eyes when he found his target, the sunkissed huntress with a bountiful ass. It didn't even cross his mind to even stare at Luna and that was his mistake.
