Dungeon Raider System-Chapter 552: Why is everyone naked?
"Shit, shit, shit!" Kalos walked from side to side in the Pegasus hall now brimming with hybrids, anxiously biting his nails trying to find a way to avoid facing the consequences of his actions, only managing to revive flashes of what transpired during the night crawl into his mind.
"Did you see him fight?" A short hybrid mixed in the crowd asked.
"Barely, he moved too fast." Another replied. The murmurs spreaded like wild fire, each reminding Kalos of his failed attempt to get Uriel killed. He knew there was a possibility that he might survive since he did manage to give him a black eye with his bare fist, but he expected Uriel to do so while running away, not by jumping directly into the maws of the creatures of the night without backup.
Kalos ignored that Nika saved Uriel more than a few times during the night and he also ignored the properties of the 'Red thread of fate'. What he did know, though, was that if people found out he hired Uriel out of malice and also to get him out of the way to get together with Medusa, Kalos would probably end up gutted like the cryptids Uriel faced.
"I don't see why you're making such a big deal out of that guy, he's as strong as any heavenly rank hunter, but don't forget that the one who actually kept us safe was Elio." The dryad voiced out, her voice standing above that of the rest.
"I think you're overestimating me a little," Elio scratched his bark-like chin with a leafy hand, then turned to Kalos who seemed to be inside his own mind. "I have to give it to you, Kalos, if it wasn't for your suggestion we would all be dead."
Startled by the lumbering creature, Kalos began shedding the leaves on his head and replied in a haste.
"I just hired him out of desperation!"
"Maybe, but without him..." The mood shifted and silence was made. Surviving the night was already more than what they could have asked for and the realization of what happened suddenly hit everyone.
A hunter whom they didn't know and who seemingly appeared out of nowhere single handedly defeated more cryptids than they could have ever hoped to survive. Not just that, he also had connections with someone who owned the very zeppelin that rescued them.
As time passed, more and more hybrids began realizing that whoever that person was couldn't possibly be just a run of the mill hunter and the question of his identity suddenly sparked a fiery debate.
"He must be the first hunter they've been talking about so much."
"Can't be... I saw the holy rank hunter myself and he was in no condition to fight or even move on his own."
"Do you guys think he's a government official? I've heard those guys are pretty strong"
"As if the government had that kind of assets..." A goblin hybrid sneered.
"Then he must be one of those guys from the combat division in the Mapple corporation. You all know how strong they are and they're the only ones who can get zeppelins anywhere at a moment's notice."
More people joined in the conversation, until someone pointed at one of the banners decorating the zeppelin hall which depicted a red eyed wolf wearing a fedora with a back serpent on the background.
"He's... Raider..." The answer was so obvious many of those present actually had to do a double take and some even slapped their foreheads before chuckling.
"I thought Raider was supposed to have a trait related to lightning and that he'd be on their side, because he manipulates an element." One muttered and the conversation lit up again.
"No way, lighting isn't an element. You don't have the first clue about things. You see, there are only four elements: Fire, earth, wind and water." A strange aquatic hybrid spoke, releasing steam from her dorsal vents.
Meanwhile, all the remaining Dungeon Raiders were summoned to the bridge and asked to take different positions and roles in the ship. To some of them was only the second time setting foot in the Pegasus, but due to the scarce personnel Medusa couldn't personally train them, meaning they would have to learn by doing.
The bridge came to life as someone took charge of the spotlights and three others remained on navigation, though without a set course all they needed to do was to spot some cryptids.
Those who were trained in medicine were sent to the medbay to tend to Jon and those with other or none specialization were sent to fill in whatever roles they could perform while Medusa herself went to check up the entire ship's condition.
Despite the recent downfall of the city and all the problems that came after, the ship remained well stocked and in general good condition. Other than the hull being chipped or dented in some places it didn't need much fixing and she decided it was finally time to get some rest.
The recent events were too much for Medusa to deal with, but nothing changed the fact that she was completely spent and the only thing she wanted to do now was to take a nap. After shutting the door behind her, Medusa swiftly took off her clothes, everything but the black blindfold that kept everyone safe from her in the off chance that someone came to wake her up in case of an emergency.
Besides, wearing a blindfold had its advantages as it made sleeping easier and more comfortable.
"Eeeeek! Who are you!? What are you doing in my room!?" Medusa screamed as she covered her body with one hand while preparing herself to take off the blindfold with the other.
"Huh... Actually, this is my room." Uriel let out in a yawn.
"Uriel!? How come I didn't feel your presence?"
"Because I can conceal it, see?" Uriel channeled just enough flux out of his body to pass as an ascended, then increased it up a notch to match his actual rank.
"Idiot, you're an idiot!" Now that she could feel his presence, she threw herself on top of him and started banging on his chest, then awkwardly buried her face no Uriel's neck. "I was so worried, you have no idea! You're always a reckless, but that was suicidal!"
"Not really, you see... I had a bit of help." Uriel spoke in a thin voice, trying not to mind the soft pressure of Medusa's stark naked body on his chest.
"Surprise!" Nika shouted, startling Medusa.
"Nika? Nika! I'm so sorry, so very sorry." Medusa cried, pushing Uriel back to bed and tearfully throwing herself on Nika's arms.

"I know, it's not your fault." Nika patted Medusa's back trying to comfort her, despite Nika being the one who ended up locked out of her body for what seemed like an eternity.
"Ahem, I know you have a lot of catching up to do, but can you not do it on top of me?" Uriel begged. Having two beautiful women on his bed was already too much to bear, but one of them being naked and the other one with nothing but panties and a tank top turned it into torture.
"Shut up." Medusa tearfully chuckled.
"Yeah, don't act like you're not looking." Nika chuckled.
"I can't help it, you're literally on top of me!" Uriel shouted as the door hissed open.
"Hey boss, something urgent came up," Phlox entered the room and looked at the scene with a gaping mouth, then slowly backed away with a grin. "Sorry for disturbing you, I'll let them know you're... busy."
"Wait! It's not what it looks like!" Uriel rushed in to follow Phlox's steps, leaving Medusa and Nika to catch up.
"What you do is none of my business, I'm just a bit hurt I didn't get an invitation."
"Come on, seriously? Now you too!?"
"I'm just messing with you, but nice job scoring them both at the same time. I bet your endurance came in handy." She jokingly punched Uriel's arm.
"Just tell me what was so urgent you felt the need to break into my room. Also, if you're here then who's piloting the Pegasus?" Uriel glared at the former soldier with a glare filled with murderous intent.
"We're anchored to our current location so there's no need for a pilot, but we need to set a course." Phlox shrugged.
"That could have waited, but thanks for pulling me out of that situation. It makes me uncomfortable being around naked people..."
"I know it doesn't sound like an emergency, but the leader of the hybrids wanted to speak to you. He said something about taking them somewhere and mentioned a reward for their rescue..." Phlox didn't get to finish her sentence when Uriel activated his Dash skill and rushed towards the hall, leaving Phlox stunned in place as a devilish dawned on her face.
Uriel stopped in front of the door that led to the zeppelin's hall and pondered on how much money he should ask for. Ten million credits did sound like an exorbitant amount, but considering how many lives were saved it was a bargain.
Determined not to take anything below that sum of money, Uriel walked into the hall and scanned his surroundings realizing only now that the entire hall was brimming with people and a question popped inside his head.
"Why is everyone naked?"
