Uriel made his way amidst the ensuing chaos and faced Mark with a blank expression on his face. He wasn’t just a bully, Mark had made it his life goal to humiliate him at every chance he got and shame him online. At that moment, Uriel silently thanked Water warlock for allowing him to keep his emotions at bay and to think straight.

"What are you looking at? Huh? Do you really think you can oppose me? I’ll give you this one chance to apologize and beg on your knees, just because we’re friends."

"Friends?" Uriel took another step forward. "Since we’re friends then let me return the favor to you, if you let Cassandra go right now and apologize on your knees I’ll give you a quick death."

"Let her go, you say?" Mark laughed maniacally as he pulled the chain so much it lifted Cassandra in the air, he then crossed her face with a red hot slap and followed with another but she didn’t fight back. Her rebellious nature and hostile attitude had completely vanished from her, it was as though she had become an empty shell. "Fine, I’ll let the bitch go."

Mark dropped the chain and as soon as it touched the ground, Cassandra started acting strange. She convulsed on the ground for a couple seconds grunting as though she was on pain. At the same time, Uriel felt a slight thug on his sleeve, it was Luna.

"Uhm, Uhm."

"It’s fine, Luna," Uriel crouched down to hug the tiny huntress. "Everything will be fine."

Luna began sobbing and she rubbed her face with the sleeve of her hoodie in a clumsy attempt to wipe off the tears since she didn’t have much experience in crying. Then, she began taking off her baggy clothes revealing the blossoming figure of a miniature adult, but Mark had but a glimpse of a second to indulge in the sight as the next thing he saw was Uriel’s Magnum revolver pointed at his face.

"It’s useless! You can’t..." Stay updated with novelbuddy

Another shot was fired.

"You can’t kill me!"

Another bullet pierced his skull. It was only after the fifth time that Mark realized Uriel wasn’t trying to kill him, only to cause him as much pain as possible.

"You bastard! I’ll make sure you..."

"Ah, this is so satisfying." Uriel heaved a sigh.

"You have no idea who you’re messing with. We’re vampires! Our sire won’t take this offense lightly!"

"Your sire?" Uriel yawned.

Mark was beyond frustrated that Uriel didn’t react to his grand reveal and he was starting to lose any trace of sanity.

"Still not afraid? Then how about this. Hey, bitch! kill this fucker."

Cassandra stood up as though she was lifted by invisible threads, her eyes had vertical pupils and her nails had grown larger. She growled at Uriel revealing huge fangs that weren’t there a moment ago, it was clear she wasn’t a human anymore but Uriel was sure she wasn’t a vampire. Whatever creature she was, it was clear she was under Mark’s control.

At the same time, Luna remained behind still wiping off the unending stream of tears that flowed from her face. The brief hug provided her with enough comfort to calm herself down, but that wasn’t what she needed. She didn’t need to remain calm anymore, he said it himself, everything will be fine.

She didn’t need to hold back her tears anymore, she didn’t have to keep her emotions under control anymore, she could finally be herself.

Luna broke out into a wail that sounded like a howl, her tiny limbs became longer and her body was covered in fur. Her body mass increased until whatever clothes she was wearing were ripped to pieces and the massive figure of a werewolf appeared behind Uriel.

Mark flinched at the sight of the lumbering cryptid in front of him, it was the exact same hybrid Uriel faced along with Emma and Captain Silvermane. That was the reason she didn’t show any interest in investigating the creature and also why she was mad with Uriel, after the beating she endured because of him.

"It was true! There really was a werewolf in college!" Mark took a few steps back and he looked from side to side realizing too late he was all by himself.

As fate would have it, every single member from the Dungeon Raiders was prepared to face vampires on the dungeons and they carried wooden weapons and UV lights with them and as soon as Mark revealed himself to be a vampire Nika ordered her men to use them.

"This can’t be..." Mark muttered. After enduring so much abuse from Cassandra, he finally managed to place her under his control and thought his victory was inevitable. He wanted to exact revenge from Nika who humiliated him at Dolminico’s and from Uriel for always being an annoyance, while getting his hands filled with whatever riches the Dungeon Raiders possessed.

He was so sure about his victory, the thought of losing even one of his hybrid companions never even crossed his mind.

At that moment, it finally dawned on him. Even if all his subordinates were defeated, they were just thrash compared to him. As a heavenly rank recently turned vampire his prowess had to be at least on Jon’s Hunter level and no one, not even their entire company could kill him.

"Take this!" Mark laughed maniacally as he hurled a fireball at Uriel. The searing heat forced everyone to jump out of the way, but Uriel didn’t move an inch. A cloud of dust and smoke was lifted and then it settled down, Uriel was still standing completely unharmed wearing Jon’s Fedora.

"That was close, you almost mess up my hair!" Uriel blurted out as he patted his clothes.

"You! You really are Raider!?" Mark gulped down his saliva. "Please, forgive me... I didn’t know..." he begged, but at the same time he was channeling all of his flux energy into a new attack, three times more powerful than his last. Before Uriel could even reply, he received the full blast of what could be considered a holy rank skill.
